Flash End-of-Life, Ruffle Integration!
This game runs on Adobe Flash. Effective Jan. 2021, Adobe began blocking its flash player's use everywhere. Kongregate is now partnering with Ruffle to make some of our Flash content playable again. Please note: If you are using Ruffle, badges will not work normally. In order to earn a badge in a Flash game, you will need to complete the badge, then submit a screenshot (showing both proof of completion and your username) as a missing badge report using the report missing achievement option. Idle created this past year to get experience in the application programming beginning did not want to publish but the think that someone could give interesting ideas for their own realizations.

I like it. This seems like a good, unfinished game. But it lacks information. I'm buying colors... why? What does that do? I'm upgrading pencils, eyedroppers, paint pots, etc... why? What does that do? At first I had to select 'next' to go to the next drawing, but later it became automatic. Why? Besides the lack of explanation/information, the game sort of lacks a sense of reward. Even adding counters to things that are upgraded would help: Let the player see they've upgraded something nine times = feeling of accomplishment. No counter = feeling of pointless grind.
There's a good game in here, it just needs to be finished. :)

I know this was a game you made to learn rather than as a finished, polished project, and it would obviously need a lot more content to really be a hit, but I think you should consider making it. You've got some interesting things happening here :)

There's no sense of satisfaction, no big boosts to make the game feel like less of a grind. The way you build up production is far too in your face about things becoming harder and harder with no other reward.

A different take on the idle paint games I have played before. Great start to the game. Wish I could see how many of each item I have bought and descriptions on the upgrades.
