Flash End-of-Life, Ruffle Integration!
This game runs on Adobe Flash. Effective Jan. 2021, Adobe began blocking its flash player's use everywhere. Kongregate is now partnering with Ruffle to make some of our Flash content playable again. I've always loved tower defence games. I started playing them back in the day of Warcraft 3. I enjoyed them because they were fun, challenging, and for some reason, highly addictive.
The problem I found was that most tower defence games I played were missing some key features that would make them even more fun. Those missing features were :
- The ability to compete against others in tournaments where prizes can be awarded to the top players.
- Some sort of ranking system that allowed you to compare your skill against others.
- The ability to watch other peoples replays of their games so that you can improve as a player.
- New towers and other special ability's that can be used in game.
- The ability to create your own tower defence maps and tournaments for others to play in.
- The ability to turn on and off certain towers for each map for added challenge
- Some sort of community where people can interact, become friends and play together.
So, that's why I decided to make my own tower defence game. All the features above (and many others) have been added to BTGTD. Hopefully you'll find BTGTD fun, challenging, and slightly addictive (no one wants to be highly addicted to anything :)
The version you'll find uploaded here is the stand-alone version. It only has 9 maps and no tournament structure. For the full game (it's all free) visit www.beatthegeek.com

Como jogar
Creeps will spawn on the map and they'll try and make it to the exit. Your goal is to stop them. Use the towers provided to attack the creeps. Each time you kill a creep you get gold. Use that gold to buy more towers and upgrade your existing towers.
As the game progresses, it'll get harder and harder. Good luck!
S : to sell a tower
U : to upgrade a tower
P : to pause
1-7 : auto select a tower to build (1 being the pellet tower)
N : spawn next wave early
F : make volcano towers erupt

Sorry guys, i there are hotkeys for the game. They are :
S : to sell a tower
U : to upgrade a tower
P : to pause

A good td 4/5 (but marked 5 because I think it is underrated).Suggestions: Start video recording after buildup so that first wave can be unleashed at will. First/last/strongest/weakest targeting - really annoying when something gets past bunch of strong towers because they are focusing on something else. Highlight your current highest score on a map. A greater range of towers would be good with a more sophisticated upgrade system.

Good game!
Dee4life - I found that if you hold down the shift key while building it let's you build multiple towers in a row without having to reselect the towers.

Not a bad effort tbh. The map is maybe too small but I like the style a lot. It could use hot keys though, or at least when you place a tower, you don't need to click on the choice of tower again as it can be annoying, especially when you need to build quickly. Overall pretty good though.
ALSO..... Why not upload the full version with the tournament mode?? :/
