I had 3 apartments, 2 mansions, and $75,000. How the hell am I brankrupt?

good strategy. Sell all houses, build mansions on vacant lots. Then buy a bunch of resources, sell mansions, and build apartments. Then buy back everything else and put up apartments. Then worry about putting up worthless buildings.
