There should be an option in normal play for the Vertical player to make the first move. Horizontal has a great advantage if they go first, so it should be switchable. Otherwise it's a fun game :)

Rotate the board 90 degrees and Horizontal becomes Vertical!

not bad idea, could do with a big more in the game, to make it more challenging, good job though!
