If you reduce the amount the worm slides and improved the visuals, this could be a great game.

Nice one! I find that the controls are not so sluggish and the worm doesn't slide so much, it's just a different kind of control, once you get it, it's not so hard. As you said, not a masterpiece, but a great idea.

The controls are extremely sluggish. Either improve the control response, or make the borders wrap around.
