The talen Worship gives half of worker space that its written in the discription, and when u dont want tutorial it still shows it.

The last culture upgrade is completely useless. Even if you just buy that, it takes longer and longer to get the culture needed for another upgrade.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Wouldn't it be better if it said like 1.3k instead of rounding down to just 1k for example? it would be more specific.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Unless I'm doing something drastically wrong, I don't see any way to keep your society at the 5%ish threat level the tutorial seems to present as necessary and still get shit done. To be comfortably within time, 12% seems like a decent target, maybe 15% if the ice ages are particularly frequent...

3794 B.C .....well time to quit just one more turn...(100 years later) just one more turn just one more turn just one more turn..........

There's a super annoying bug that makes this game impossible on diety. If you are attacked and choose fight (and you successfully defend), it says x number of people die and you gain 10% strength. The bug lets them take all of your guards though and a random number from your forest....I just lost 32 people, for example, when it said that 2 of them died defending. It happens every time and it's completely annoying.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Why does it seem like all of a sudden, the strength modifiers aren't doing anything? it's almost as if strength was nerfed in the last update, because at first I was like YES, +10% min strength in encounters, and now I'm like, um... very little change in barbarian invasion.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Well luck is too much involved in game, for example Ice age shud be Pre-scripted, not appearing and disappearing thanks to luck
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
See cheat as tricking. Smarter enemies make this harder to succeed. For some reason, your kinda trolled when barbarians come to you with strong strength and high intelligence. History just got changed..
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
When people attack, what does "cheat" mean? Do you trick them? Is it harder to cheat against smarter enemies? A little explanation would be useful.

um i am wondering if you guys could put an endless mode because i had a lot of fun but the time limit did not satisfy me
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Beat deity mode on turn 91(or 92 when I decided to buy the palace) with a rating of 7978 and 5 stars. Took 3 restarts but just had to not get that damn ice age at the start.

@Illethed:
It is intended to work that way. The more workers you can assign to a job, the more workers are added/subtracted per click. I mean, it would just suck to have to add 400 workers to the fields click by click. What has confused me, though, was, that subtracting workers was always faster than adding them.
Under rating threshold (hideshow)
Very fun game, though there are some areas that could have been designed better, such as the +/- buttons. They should advance when held down instead of adding or subtracting random numbers when pressed. Also, there is a LOT of inconsistencies in this game. Tech descriptions often refer to requirements by different names than they actually are (ex- animal captivity is referred to as domestication), and dates are sometimes notated as, for example, "50k" in one place, and "50000 years" in another. Still worthy of a 4/5.

After several tries, I finally managed to win the game on deity mode. 3 Ice ages, savages attacking at every turn at the end, next to no positive events through the whole game, and ending with 3906 rating. But I won!

I really like the game with all its features, but while the "+" buttons are working fine and increase workers by 1, the "-" buttons seem to be bugged as for me: in stoneworking, the "-" button decreases the number of workers by 12, in gathering by 2, in food production by 10, worship and hunting works ok (reduces workers by 1). If those numbers were supposed to make the gameplay more convienient then they don't - it's really irritating if just one worker increases the probability of invasion slightly over 6% and reducing the number of workers requires clicking "-" once and "+" several more times. A major fault which prevents me from rating.

The key to winning the game is to 100% focus on food production. Food = Population. The forest is the best location to focus on. When you have max food production (or max population while waiting), THEN focus on culture (and lastly production). The tiny production amounts you get at the start of the game don't matter in the end. The real way to win is to build up your population to insane levels and then max out production, getting 1-2k per turn during the final years ;).

this fun! when the level of TEC over 50, you need more than 10 million culture point to get 1 research point, anh it nearly 1.5 time the next ones, you don't need worship it never enough! Cultural exchange is the only way!

Dev, you need to realize that most buildings are useless. Apart from the first three (dwelling, workshop and hunting camp) which are great, I don't see the point of the other ones at all. They cost precious prod points, and since the goal of the game is to have 25k prod, they'd better bring you more prod than you spent to buy them. Truth is, they're far from paying back their own cost in prod points, even in the long run. So why bother?

For those having trouble defeating the game, here are a few tips: 1)Try to get as many people hunting food as possible. This # directly correlates to how many people you have spawning per turn. I suggest getting the berry upgrade first, and then the fire upgrade, working up from there. 2) As long as you're under 35% strength, you should be fine. That's generally the "safe point" I went with throughout the game. If you get attacked, don't fight, just cheat them out of it. 3) Always have your food sources highest (+5.0 population at all times when possible) and keep pumping people into the stone station. Building population takes the longest to get. 4) Personally, I maxed the population string first so as not to run into any population problems. Then I maxed berry string, then stone string, then finally the strength string. 5) Don't even bother with the religion string, and the burial place/megalith/storage buildings. Save for the palace. Good luck!

is it possible to win on even chieftain? I feel like the rate at which your population grows and the rate at which you get stone is too slow to accomplish the palace in 100 days. This slow rate practically forces you to employ into the "high risk" zone and the events that occur either help a little or hinder a lot. seems like a lot of balance isn't there

A game that I had a good time beating...........I wish there was a +1, +10 button rather than the game choosing for me..........I was not a big fan of the tech being hindered by age periods. It makes it unfairly difficult to beat the game because I had a surplus of tech and I could not level up and the last age is too short. It would have been better if the enemy just kept getting stronger and wiped me out......Likewise, I don't get the time limit. My civilization was ramping up production and the game just declares me a loser.

Please change the Clicking back to the way it was. The Click and Hold to was good. All I personally would of done was extended the time of slowest section of the click, not this change. It is horrible the way it is atm.

How come every time I discover land...my food decreases significantly...I think there are some serious glitches in the programming

I have over 2k population => got bored, make them pray and guard,
no food whatsoever, population increase -122 and nobody dies? Check and mate athiests!

It appears like the tutorial is on even when you say NO. I find the high warning on the risk % very anoying. I don't think 6% is a big risk. If I could set the risk threshold and then have a final balance in one area to maximize the risk it would be simpler. Also the save game is not working. How are you saving the game?

Beat hard mode: Never add defenders, go for people. Great fun having a game with some challenge. Please continue your good work with more.

Good game but sandbox mod loses it's appeal quickly. Perhaps an option to upgrade buildings as well. Good game, simple in design and concept but complex in the number of ways to accomplish the ultimate goal.
