The game doesn't tell you this, but it seems that:
1. Each person eats 1 food per turn.
2. It takes 20 surplus food to get an additional population.
3. At the start, each person produces .2 production and .2 culture per turn.

The concept is quite cool but is the game really finished? After the first few events, none of my selections resulted in success. Plus, many of the names appeared to be changed in one place but not in another, and building unlocking is a "one tech unlock one" instead of unlocking corresponding one written in its description.

You'd think that after 4 million years, my tribe would have learned a better way to hunt than hitting trees with clubs.

The easy and medium are not difficult to beat... go for early population and you will be able to use passive culture to get the tech upgrades you need.

I finally beat the game on my 99th turn on easy -_-
Don't even bother to buy buildings 5, 6 or 7 if you want to beat the game in time.

The game wasn't designed with the correct numbers, since the hard mode is impossible to beat. You need 25k productions. Say that 7k can be obtained by passive production and random events. You still need 18k, which with 4 per tribesman still requires 4.5k tribesman-turns. Even spread over 40 turns, this is about 120 tribesmen on the mountains per turn, which is impossible in the hard mode given that you population will never be above 150 before the 80th turn.
Hence, the hard mode needs to be redesigned since its strategically impossible to reach the target.

So, nice try but if you waned a truly good game please fix the flash slowness or add an "Add full/Remove all" button. When yo'e managing hundreds of people, 1 click/1 person is very frustrating.

Once you realize that keeping up a military is completely meaningless, winning the gae is a walk in the park (I did it on the 80th turn on my 2nd try).

Ending text: "Who knows, but maybe it will be yours civilization, that one day will conquer" Conquer what? The curiosity is klling me!

woop beat it! got 3888 points and 5 stars :D For those wondering how to beat it, try focussing on max population first (the more food, the more growth in population!) then culture and lastly the production points. I haven't invested 1 point into hunting or fishing :)

Good game. Could be better. Winning seems more a matter of luck than skill, either you will enounter enough random events that benefit you in the right ways at the right times to increase population and such or you won't. You can only upgrade tech and build so fast, that's all based on population. Poplation passively grows WAY too slow to be meaningful to beating the game. Otherwise this is great. JUst a really simple version of the old Age of Empires games if you ask me. Wish the 'map' was a little bigger. Being able to actually take land, atttack enemies and such would of course be awesome. A deeper upgrade tree would also be fun. Overall this is fun, hope to see a second one someday.

The tutorial is very poor. I figured out so much (on my own!) that you need the highest possible popuatio (because techs usually raise the number of people you can assign to a task, not their individual effectiveness) and that for population to increase faster you need to assign more people to food collection (?) The tutorial does not tell you!

I love the idea and hate the random events. Got a good run, suddenly a third of my population dies to two consecutive events. If it weren't for those, it'd be a clear 5/5.

I wanted to build my palace in the 100th turn. Yet, the game ends when I reach turn 100. So either fix that, or tell me I have 99 turns, damn it.

Luck seems to be too influential to call this a strategy game. Beating it on the hardest difficulty can be determined by a handful of bad outcomes mid-game.

I think the build on deity that gives the best chances is as followed:
1) Get Nomad with good barter
2) Plants
3) Stone + Dwelling
4) Hunting
5) Building of fire
6) Advanced gathering
7) Shelter
8) Fishing
9) Improved Stone + Workshop (if needed)
10)Advanced Stone (if needed)
11) Keep 3 techs for next epoch
12) Pottery, Fish Hooks and Nets
13) Primitive weapons
14) Thrown weapons
15) Component Tools
16) Architecture (when needed), Ranged weapons
17) Component Tools x2
18) Agriculture, Barter, Social class
Always prioritize food, except at the very end where you may have to fill out the stone first.
For the nomads, barter and joining are the best options if they are green.

Every now and then I get a bug where I click on the assign button and it either puts the most possible or the least possible amount, and then proceeds to spaz out every assign button and then I have to F5 to make it work again. otherwise, 5/5 game.

Okay, this is the third game in a row where my cultural points are higher than what I need for a level. I have 174 points and only need 150 for next tech. Now, no matter how many points I get, I will never get the next tech level. I've sent the bug off to the developer...

Game is hard when barbarians take half your forest before the first turn even starts and then an ice age lasts from the third turn to 13K BC...

This is the second time I've been playing where I ended up with more cultural points than what I need for a level but don't get awarded the tech point. After that, no matter what I never get a tech point and instead see the cultural points build up and up.

apparently i have been sweeped away because of my "better neighbors" when i have 4k people with a strength of 25k and 1k food per turn....

Scout-"We've spotted a herd of deer. They have low mobility, high alertness, and look fairly dangerous."
General- "We will kill them easily. We have 3500 soldiers."
Several days later...
General- "You overlooked the fact that they had tanks and air support. We lost 500 people."
Scout-"Oops..."
