Use of fire: +5 population. Building of fire/fur clothing +10 pop. Shelter +100 pop. Pottery +400 pop. Well THAT escalated quickly.

Are there several paths for victory ?
Staying in hunting works well
Some options look like traps (cltohes, ...) . Other need luck (agriculture may not be strong enough) I wonder if victory is possible through fishing.

It took me a few tries but I won on Diety... quick tip to those of you that are struggling I rushed farming techs and eventually I started making so much of every resource that the game itself was lagging final score 10,188

This game is quite difficult to win outside of the easiest setting. I could play a number of times to try to hone my skills, but I don't see the re-playability being much worth the time. The only real challenge is to manage against the time.

The game has a huge luck component. Get two or three bad events early and you can just go ahead and reset because you can't come back on the harder levels.

I have a bug to report. I assigned some to worship, and I somehow managed to make it impossible for me to gain any more upgrade points, excepting Nomads.

Every event I played went wrong (except the nomads but that can't go wrong) yet still, I managed to win the game in the very last turn :) very good game, I really loved it 5/5 sequel pls :D

Very nice. This could be the start of a wonderful series. Just don't go Papa's pizzeria on us, and just change the skin to a new era.

BUG: If you get a culture exchange in first event and tech up, your culture can equal the next tech requirements without leveling up.

Remove the scroll button notification. Put it in the tutorial. Its a pain in the ass having it interrupt EVERY game start. Would be good to not have to wait to when end turn button is clicked before being able to click it again.

I beat the game on deity difficulty several times. Mini-walkthrough: Only research the technologies that are essential to beat the game: the gathering tree, the fire tree, the stone tools tree, the fishing tree, and religion (just the first one is enough). For buildings, you only want these three: dwelling, workshop, and palace. In the beginning, maximize growth. Starting around turn 30, have 5 people worshipping, the rest in growth. Starting around turn 70, push people into production. Keep threat level around 10% during the game.

Turn 11: 2 people have been lost and 50% of your land in the forest has been lost
restart
turn 11 3 people lost and 50% of your land in he forest has been lost
punch closest object
restart
turn 10: ice age, good luck gowing your population
sigh

Great game. But needs to show decimal amounts for all values to better guide play style and management. Not so much of an issue late game of course.

@mattj in regards to a number of suggestions many are already there.4: If strength is low barricade, if speed is low dodge it, otherwise flee. 6: usually the last line of text is buildings that the tech unlocks. 8: if you hover over the food icon it will show yields from each location. 9: if you hover over the culture icon, it will show how many culture points you have, how many you produce, and how many you need. Hope this helps you and others!

More suggestions: (6) On the tech screen, mark the techs that allow the construction of buildings. (7) On the building screen, let me see at a glance which buildings I can't build because of tech, or production, or both. Show a progress bar of what percent of the building's production has been completed so far. (8) Show visually which food option will give me the best yield. (9) On the main screen, in the infobar, show me how many culture points I am short of the next level, not my current culture points. (What I really want to know is how many turns it will take, but maybe that's confusing because it would be inconsistent with the other infobars.) (10) Pop up a confirmation dialog when I ask to delete a saved profile.

I like this game. As others have said, it has a lot of potential. Some suggestions: (1) The notifications for new technology and new building should be harder to ignore. For new technology, go directly to the tech screen so it's impossible to ignore. (2) Would like a strategy guide or help/hints. In particular, by what year should you have achieved the various cultural levels to be "on track"? (3) Instead of making a hard cutoff of 100 turns, make the danger from barbarians increase slowly but steadily, until I either build the palace or get wiped out. (4) When I'm faced with a hurricane, I have no idea which option is best and sometimes I lose a huge percent of my population. (5) I shouldn't be able to lose 33% of my population from a random event.

Great game but could definitely use more content (Something to do with an excess military like conquer or raid, Some visual changes as you tech up, No Ice ages before turn 10 and a way to reclaim lost land) those are just a few of my ideas all in all though solid game 4/5 keep up the good work.

Please add a 'soft' threat limit for your fast click and hold add and subtract workers, ideally it would be set-able in the esc menu, or it could just be set to 6%.

So I've got this annoying glitch. Whenever I put people into the mountains, after about 2 seconds it starts kicking them out really fast. Makes it impossible to build the palace even on easy.

Can beat chieftan every time, but deity is just luck. Too often barbarians show up, you pick the right way to deal with them but no...bad roll and you lose quarter your population and/or half your land. Game over.

Encore! I'd definitely play a sequel to this. Thank you for all the effort you put into this; It's difficult, a little rough around the edges in some ways, but I like it.
