Okay, that flashing button seems to be the mute button. It worked on second play through.
Now the game seems very boring - stay in the lane that alternates between oncoming and withgoing traffic, and you don't need to maneuver - I played 10 levels and only once did another car even partially enter that lane. I finally just got bored and quit.

Music is boring. Mute button would be VERY nice. No directions, and no indication what that flashing button does. Clicking it (which puts a red cross on it) doesn't seem to do anything. Also, the car selected at the start screen is not the car you're given.

Pretty sure I saw the exact same car sprites in Freeway Fury. And the game does not give me the car I select at start.
