Captain Joe Goes Fishing

Its very hard to control the player. I think that it should be more of a point and click to shoot the harpoon rather than shooting it up all the time. Getting whack by the fish and dying is highly unlikely in the sea. I suggest having sharks instead and different settings for the different levels. The same thing over and over again seems to bug me a lot.

The controls are very awkward, for moving as well as for throwing. Why does my character always have to move in one direction for a while before he can turn into the opposite one? And why can't I accelerate in any direction? Going down cannot be controlled properly right now. Aiming the spear should be done using the mouse in my opinion. Speaking of the spear: the collision detection is really poor. It seems to only have to be near a corner to be blocked. When you stand on the ground you can't even shoot straight forward. It is also bugged. The guy shot the spear more than once despite me still pressing the button down. Other than that I don't see much that could keep you motivated for more than five minutes. There are no upgrades, no variation of the environment or missions/quests (catch only one specific kind of fish, catch only garbage to clean the fishing ground, swim somewhere without being hurt by sharks etc.). It's a nice idea, but the execution is just too flawed. 2/5
