You should be able to move the blocks in every direction, independant from the camera angle

Say it ain't so. This idea is fantastic. The numbers are a little hard to read (you almost don't need the pipes) and the cube rotation would be nice to have keyboard control over; but the colour coding helps. Genius concept.
