The putatively eternal rivalry between bloons and monkeys promised to provide endless fun but it would seem these traditional enemies have come together to conspire against us, the players. They put their differences aside to grind money out of the witless and frustrated gamer.

YES! Excellent game. With the trophy system and the power-ups, it definitely does not feel like a grind. If it seems that way to you, try using cheaper power-ups like Snap Freeze and go a few levels back from your frontier to make extra cash. Focus on improving one core and adapt your arm weapons to suit the need, 5/5!

I've only played this because of the badges. Too much grind and the cost for the "upgrades" that can all be earned in game are FAR TOO EXPENSIVE!! $35, you're having a laugh. Also, so much grinding to get anything!

Such a grind. I loved the first Supr Monkey. But it's ridiculous that I can't use my right arm weapons in my left, and vice versa. Makes a grindy game wayyyy grindier. Needs to be rebalanced.

I rated 3 stars because it was enjoyable enough as a time waster, despite 100% blops on certain stages seeming to be an inside joke between devs.
And then I got to the squid boss. I don't know if I could think of a more irritating mechanic if I tried. I wouldn't mind so much if it didn't seem to have endless health, but I really, really, really, really don't want to have to grind the amount it's going to take to kill this boss. I don't even know how much that is, since there's no HP gauge for bosses and the fact that it's covered in bloons so I can't really see him take damage. Over and over I have to farm a massive amount, upgrade what little that allows, and try again just to see if my time spent was worthless. Hint: it was.

..Would be nice if after you click the upgrade-button Mid-level, the Main menu button wasn't in the EXACT same place. My mouse has a tendency to Double-click sometimes, and countless times has double-clicking to buy an upgrade or change weaponry mid-level been a tedious turn of events.

NinjaKiwi I won't be playing your games anymore. It was a good run, you've made some incredible games over the years. But this? This nothing more than a blatant money grab that could have been something worth while.

Super Monkey *crawls to a halt* on a brand new mind-bendingly *grindy* scrolling shooter! Suit up a Super Monkey of your own invention by outfitting his three weapon slots with 60 *incredibly expensive* upgrades, and then fly *the same level over and over again* like mad to *grind enough blops to avoid having to pay real money for this game* while giving the bloons what they deserve – a *swift death and the end of this franchise*. Super simple controls mean anyone can play, but it’ll take *incredible amounts of patience and free time* to win the prestigious bronze, silver, and gold trophies by defeating enough of the outlandish bloon formations and the powerful bosses. Top-tier epic powers, weapon-juicing research, powerups, and Ultimate Monkeys that channel destruction incarnate are all yours to *buy with real money* and unleash. Now get out there and *grind* bloons for the good of all monkeydom – go, Super Monkey, go!
There fixed the description.

To play this game gives me the feeling of just spending $50 on a 3-D movie, buying coke and popcorn, and then walking out because the movie is so bad.
You developers couldn't have been that clueless on how absurd the grind factor is in the game, could you???
I can buy all the power-ups across the bottom, and the return rate is barely 50%...what is my incentive? Correct me if I'm wrong but I figured by buying the extras I could kill more balloons with them, which is true, it's just that the return rate is backwards. That's like me handing you $100 and getting back $50 and I'm supposed to be okay with that logic?

level 6 7 8 impossible to play mega super hiper extreme lags 1 to 5 no lag at all but 6 7 8 impossible lag lag lag lag every second ..

Grid? Yes
Problem is that there is no real reward, getting the hard badge takes an hour or two. Max spikes for arms and laser for core
Still plenty to upgrade but 20 levels over and over to get 100%?
No thanks

1/5 because of the greed. what is this fashion about doing and re-doing the same level to earn money ?!? that's not fun anymore. this game could have been really cool without the too expensive upgrades and the replaying thing.
