Very realistic... in the sense that it was nearly impossible to shoot down a fast moving plane for shit with a deck gun. However, this does not make for a remotely fun game. What Bk said.

Does drive home why the 5" cannon became the top aircraft killer late in the war - the ability to stop a incoming aircraft cold on 1 hit. As a game, it is a bit futile as you're effectively a punching bag for the planes.
