That's one of the few times I've ever seen a developer comment under the rating threshold. Anyways, I don't think that it's really enough to just give silhouettes for the keys. Yes, it tells you how many keys you have left and what time they're located in, however it does not help you to solve any of the puzzles. As Thyraxus stated, it is still a matter of trial and error. Though the music and art may be nice, the gameplay falls hard.

You're missing the story of the game you're copying, and some of the clever jumps and tricks one needed to beat that one. Instead of copying and dumbing down, you should add something. How about this? Make the past an idyllic farmland, the present a slightly smoggy urban scene, and the future a dark and filthy future. Then, instead of just finding keys and going to door, you actually make changes in the past and present which affect the future, until you convert the future to be a clean, utopian society. Now THAT would be hard to pull off, but a game worth playing. The idea is all yours.

While I think that the art, music and overall ambience in this game are top notch, I really don't like the gameplay mechanics. The limited number of switches, combined with there being no clues as to what will be where in which time period before you switch, means that solving the levels is mostly a matter of a lot of trial and error, which I personally find to be highly frustrating.
