HUD is too big and obtrusive. About 60% of the viewport is the game itself. Perhaps you could add an autohide feature to the nuts and keys?

Cute squirrel character-- what's not to love? Nice game yet needs more efforts on the stage artworks.
Also a suggestion: If you update this game, make it possible to jump almost from the edge of a platform. (make the edge detection slightly longer.) I'm sure many had face this mild annoyance.

I could be wrong but I think the button for the orange door in the 2nd area is broken. There's no glow around the bottom-right button like the green one, and shooting it no matter how many times won't open it. Green opens fine but just can't seem to open orange.
