Flash End-of-Life, Ruffle Integration!
This game runs on Adobe Flash. Effective Jan. 2021, Adobe began blocking its flash player's use everywhere. Kongregate is now partnering with Ruffle to make some of our Flash content playable again. Please note: If you are using Ruffle, badges will not work normally. In order to earn a badge in a Flash game, you will need to complete the badge, then submit a screenshot (showing both proof of completion and your username) as a missing badge report using the report missing achievement option. The War of the Tanks has been raging for centuries. Few places have been left untouched by this conflict.
You are what's left of a once great civilization and it's up to you to finally settle this war by taking on the remaining rebels and crushing them.
You've been given the most technologically advanced tank available, but that may still not be enough to win the war.
Good luck soldier, the fate of the galaxy lays in your hands.

All controls can be configured.
Make sure your version of Flash is current or the game may not work right. This game is processor intensive and may cause older slower computers to crash - sorry! We tested Tank 2008 on IE and firefox and never had any problems - but to be safe try playing in IE.

The max speed upgrade is way too much, your tank becomes uncontrollable.

pretty good game. upgraded saw is the best way to kill bosses. Move your cursor to the word "shop" on the right to see the shop. All secondary weapons run out of ammmo, you are purchasing X shots. You can switch between main guns in the menu, at the bottom of the screen. The speed upgrade is permantant, the firepower upgrade is too but it is only specific to the main weapoin you have equipped.
