A good, solid start for a game. The controls need a few fixes (couldn't go right while holding up, couldn't go right while holding down, but I could move left under both situations). Adding a bit of variety either through different kinds of ships, power ups that float in sometimes, or adding levels/waves (though that doesn't seem to be what you're shooting for, which is fine, too :) ) would be great. I'd love to see my score while playing, but that's just being nit-picky. A good start!

Gets boring really fast. Aslo why do I need to hold the mouse button down. I need to shoot continously and there is no penalty for it, so just autofire and save my finger. Seriously needs more. Upgrades, variety of enemies, different weapons and some reason to shoot in a direction other than straight ahead. As it is 1/5 since it's not really a game yet.
