Sand Storm: Hacking? Cheating? Fair Play?
Ah. Interesting.
Seems like an counterintuitive phenomenon to have on a bad connection — to have hyper fast moving vehicles. I’d expect some chop, not mind-numbing speed! Certainly is entertaining. I wonder what the world looks like from their perspective.
I did set my viewing distance to max, but like you say, it still doesn’t help after a certain point. Seems like a slightly unfair “glitch”! I mean, the viewing distance cutoff should be the same for the heli somehow…as I definitely get the impression some guys have a good feel for how far away to stay, and it’s literally a nonstop barrage of hellfire coming out of thin air! I’m pretty good with the helis overall, but clearly there’s a problem if a guy can consistently rack up 30-50 kills against more than enough guys to take him down at SOME point! Again, certainly makes for some entertaining challenges. I do try the spawn technique — though that only last a few seconds as I can tell. No? It’s movement, not timeframe? I hit newly spawned guys all the time it seems, because it tells me — and there’ll be guys just sitting there on rapid fire — I guess till the spawn window expires?
The wall thing I’ve also only seen a couple times — in the bridge in Autobahn. Why exactly someone would find just sitting in there for 20 minutes just killing 50 people interesting, I don’t know.
Nametag was absolutely during the game. The first time I saw it was when I got killed, and so after that I was in a bush watching some fighting for a bit, and there were 3 guys with those little gun tanks with red tags (my side), but they were the blue team. It was super confusing. Of course I didn’t know who to help, and wound up getting missile attack in my face. I saw a few more instances — and between that and the schizo tanks, I left.
So then when you see people referencing cheats or hacks or whatever, what are they doing? Should I be looking out for things to report or something?
Thanks for the info!
