Topic: Bush Whacker Classic / A guide to removing multiple friends

As many of you have probably found out, you cannot remove more than one friend at a time. Sasha from Haven Castle District offers an option to remove multiple buddies at once, but the button does not work.

But fret not, because I have discovered how to get to the page that that button is supposed to open. And I will explain how with this guide.

Unfortunately, it is not as simple as posting a link to the page, as the URL to it will differ for each player, as it contains information that is unique to each player, like ID. But here’s how to open the page yourself.

At the bottom of the play screen, there is a link called Play History. If you were to click that, you would get a page with some game stats for your profile, and it would show up inside the game. But that is not what we want. So instead, right click the link and there should be an option to copy the link, named differently depending on which browser you use (In Firefox it’s “Copy Link Location”).

Now open a new tab (or window) in your browser and paste the link from before into the address bar (Ctrl+V will do the trick). If you press Enter/Return now, you will see the same page as before. But now you can use this URL to access other pages. And that is the trick to removing multiple friends.

If you look at the URL, you will see that part of it reads “?page=page_history”. And herein lies the key to accessing the friend removal page. To do so, you simply need to replace that text with the text “?page=invite&uninvite=true”. Press Enter now, and the page will magically appear, granting you access to removing more than one friend at a time. Simply tick off the friends you no longer want, and click the button named “Remove Selected Buddies”. But wait, there’s more!

If you’re like me, you want to remove friends who haven’t played the game for a while, and there are links for sorting the list at the top of the page. But they do not work as intended, instead they send you back to the game on Kongregate, as those links are hardcoded.

So it’s time for some more URL editing. You can add to the URL to make it sort according to your needs, and for ease, add it to the very end of the url. If you want it sorted alphabetically, you add the text “&sort=name”. If you want to sort it by level, instead add “&sort=level”. And finally, if you want to sort it by the date that your friends last played the game, add “&sort=last_play”. Hit Enter, and your friends list will reappear, but now in a sorted fashion. And then, as mentioned before, you can choose all the buddies you want and remove them with one fell swoop, instead of having to click “Pick a Friend” in-game and scroll through the long list for every friend.

And since it would be annoying to have to do this every time you wanna remove some friends, I advise you to bookmark the page once it is sorted as you would like it. That way, you can always easily return to it when you hit the limit of 100 friends.

One final note. Don’t post the link you get from Play History, or any link you’ve made from it using this guide anywhere, as it will allow other people to mess with your game, by using the unique information encoded into the URL. This should be obvious, but I thought it would be better to make a note of it.

Topic: Technical Support / Bonte's games not working

Most of Bart Bonte’s games (bontegames) are not working for me. If I click the link, I get a 400 Bad Request error. I’ve read about the 400 error in the compendium and tried deleting the cookie several times, and while it makes some of the games that didn’t work previously, work again, there are some of the games which consistently give me that error. And everytime I’ve gotten that error, it keeps popping up for every of his games, even games that worked a second ago, and games I played a few days ago.

For instance, of the 4 first games he’s made (the ones on page 2), all but Factory Balls gives me the 400 error. But a game like Sugar, Sugar which I played 2-3 days ago works fine, unless I’ve first clicked the link of a game that always gives me that error.

I’m hoping this error can be fixed soon.

Hmm, I just looked at the previous page and I gotta say unproductive, you were pretty lucky with the game coming to a halt now. :P

Ah, it never occured to me that there was such a thing as a leader, I always figured all decisions were made between all mafia members.

And well, alright. I figured he wouldn’t have been allowed to know that. Thanks.

Actually Severe, Pereking was right. Yes, under normal circumstances you should have shown up as a townie, BUT on that same night, Cloud (Emily Greer) was told to frame you, making you guilty for that one night only.

And Dorham told crazycruiser to kill me? :O The horror!

But why, Dorham?

Edit: And we finally know Theresa’s last name. XD

But this raises a couple of questions. What is the equivalent of Damijin in a normal Mafia game? I have never heard of a role like his.

And what would’ve happened, if Sylicas had chosen to investigate someone, but had been roleblocked? What exactly would he be told then?

So in a parallel universe, people mastered the art of freezing time?

Either that, or people are just cursed with bad luck.

Okay, maybe not. XD Honestly, if we are to declare a winner at this point, it would obviously be the mafia.

Honestly I agree with walford. It would be awesome if such games were on Kong. But they’re probably not gonna be.

Anyways, there actually is a Monopoly kinda game on Kong. And it’s one of the ones I’d recommend.

Dice Mogul
Puzzle Freak
Electric Bar

Topic: Off-topic / Best Web Browser?

You’re absolutely right, Nabb. I never really had any lag problems with IE6. Then I switched to IE7, and oh boy. Biggest mistake I have ever made.

To say which one is the best, depends on people’s own preferences, of course. I have only tried Firefox and most newer versions of IE, and I’d say that if you’re just going for a standard browser, IE6 will do just fine. If you’re looking to customize the slightest thing in your browser, go for Firefox. It IS very user-friendly, and often loads pages a lot faster than IE. Take the previous badge page problems as a good example.

But whatever you do, NEVER, EVER use IE7! Seriously.

So seeing as this game seems to be pretty much dead, should we do the same as in Pereking’s Mafia game, and announce our roles? What do you all think?

Or should we wait for mils to officially declare the game dead and/or declare a winner?

Pereking, I love you for having made that Game overview spreadsheet. Every mafia game should have one.

And I have been wondering from day 1, who it was that killed me. And it turns out to be crazycruiser?! :O Why, oh why?

Was yesterday actually Friday 13th?

In a parallel universe, every day is Friday the 13th.

Darth, as far as I know, they figured out that the scroll that mentions the devil’s number, has been mistranslated and that it actually says 616. I’m not sure where the 636 is coming from.

140) Your Yoshi must always be online at the same time as you. In addition to this rule, you must never tell anyone who your yoshi is.

So KirbyYoshi is basically an epic phail.

Well, then I don’t know. It works with some guides, but not with others. But since you have access to the php files, take a look at some of the ones that work and see how it’s done there.

The1Wizkid made the yoshi convention against my will when I openly thought about it in chat and changed my mind. I learned how to accept the idea of an army of yoshis and now I don’t mind it.

Your army will serve you well, when the time comes for greg’s takeover.

It’s from Smileys War, and one of the badges is called >.<

If you get it, the usual message in chat will only show >., because it stops at <, because it’s not escaped, and won’t show the rest of the message. That is the glitch.
