Well. I mean that the engine is 80% coded. I just would like the finished product to have better GFX.

Yeah, my old roomie used it… I have NO idea why I never got into using it. Makes things look SOOOO much more professional.

If that does not work, show me the code used to post the API and maybe I can help dissect it a bit more for you.

Did you make sure to configuere all of the variables/attributes being sent to kongregate when setting up the game?

This can be changed still by clikig [Edit] under the game.

It took me a few times to get it right with my first game… Just fool around with it. I am sure you can figuere it out!

Topic: Collaborations / Artist for Zombie game needed

Well… We have :
Roughly 80% of the games code, AI, Graphics, ETC done…
The Soundtrack completed, most SFX edited.
Almost all of the menu completed…

It is a Zombie shooter, and I think is going to be a LOT of fun.
The problem is… The zombie grpahics look TERRIBLE, obscenly primitive, and assinine. The player artwork itself I believe is just flat out ripped off artwork.

I would love to make this into a real, and complete game. And I simply need top down artwork of zombies, and a player. Al other art has been completed.

If you are interested send me a whisper with the best means of communication. I will get back to you on the various zombie types, and player graphics. I will send shots of what has been developed so far.

At the moment, animation may not be completely necissary, however would add a great deal of immersion to the game. Compensation will be based on the actual inclusion on the artwork and to be negotiated after reviewing quality.

Topic: Game Programming / AI Question/Logic for homing weapons.

Ahh that makes way too much sense…. and after a few minutes of adding something like that… it works fine.

And yes Phantasmagoria. It was a return function. it returned it as NaN.

And it still does now sometimes… but fixed it by something to the effect of :
if (targetId=undefined) { doItAgain(value); }

Usually doesnt take more than a few passes to get locked on target, and then fly where they need to… I just gotta make them move more like rockets now hahaha ;)

Thank you very much Jabor. You have been an AMAZING help!

Topic: Game Programming / AI Question/Logic for homing weapons.

I seem to be having some trouble getting it to function.
I wrote a sub that cycles through and tries to find the identifier in the array, then it returns it so I can use it in the ‘moveto’ function. However it seems to be returning strange values… namely NaN.

Here is it running through the array :

for (var i = 0; i < root.game.enemies.length; i++)
//also tired to use : for (var i in _root.game.enemies)
{
dx = _x – _root.game.enemies[i].
x;
dy = y – _root.game.enemies[i].y;

dsquared = dx * dx + dy * dy;
if (dsquared < closestDistance)
{
closestDistance = dsquared;
targetID = i;
}
}

For some reason it keeps returning NaN.
any idea why?
