The tutorial tells you to set the DocumentClass as the… well, document class. You haven’t done so and you still have AvoiderGame as your document class, and that’s why you can’t link the PlayScreen symbol to it.

I just got 96th by simply bruteforcing — I refreshed the ‘All badges’ homepage (since it shows the BotD atop it) and got to the game page as soon as possible after seeing the BotD.

That’s if you already have the badge.

I have updated the game! There’s now a new feature, the Kongridle Gameplay Service, and you can select kongpanions to feed or send in kongxpeditions many at a time! It’s still a bit limited (you can’t give items to kongpanions or send them to Kandyland) but now you won’t have to click so much. (To feed 10 full hungry kongpanions with kongbuns you used to click 110 times, now you do it in 21!)

The next thing I’m going to work in is Quests. They’ll include uses for the pebbles and other currently useless items!

Based on what you have said, your layer1Instance variable does not refer to the stage, so clearly your stage.removeChild code wasn’t going to work (if you addChild a DisplayObject to a container, you must call removeChild in the same container)

Your sendClouds function is probably placed in the same class that has the laywe1Instance added, so that’s why you can type layer1Instance.doSomething() and it works. Your clouds, homever, don’t have any layer1Instance property. That’s what the access of undefined property error means: you haven’t stipulated anything with the name of “layer1Instance” in your “clouds” class (BTW, it’s recommended that you capitalize the names of the classes), so the compiler doesn’t know what you mean when it sees a cloud referring “layer1Instance” and throws an error.

Luckily, all Display Objects have a property called “parent”, that refers to whatever is addChilded to. So, in this case, you can use parent.removeChild(this); to self-remove the clouds. Even if you could easily access layer1Instance in the clouds, this approach would be better since it works for whatever place you put the clouds in.

Anyways, I don’t recommend the self-removing way. Making instances self-behave on things that depend on the parent can make your code less flexible. For things like removeChild is okay because the parent will always have that method, but once you want to access a custom variable from the parent things turn harder. You’ll have to cast the parent property, and that would restrict the places where you can put your clouds.
Instead, I recommend to have all the clouds in an array and manage them from there. That way, each time you want clouds you’ll be able to manage them the way you want, instead of having the same behavior that might not be appropiate in some situations.

Your Enemy constructor is like this:

Each time you create an enemy you set its x coordinate to 100. That’s why they all appear in a row.

I’m going to let you resolve yourself what you should do to fix it. If you can’t because you aren’t enough confident in AS3 yet, re-read the tutorial because you have missed a step (Hint: at the beginning of the second tutorial chapter)

AlteredNative, I would like to see where is the fraud in my game. There used to be an exploit that could give you infinite money by breaking your avatar and refreshing, but it was fixed shortly after release and there’s currently nothing that incites the player to refresh.

I’m not sure if I should keep the Pro Shop. Maybe all it does is just alienate new players and there’s no need to have it…
The conversion for badge coins it’s actually this: Easy: 5 BC, Medium: 30 BC, Hard: 90 BC, Impossible: 320 BC. I thought I already included it in the box that appears when rolling over the badge coins, but I was wrong. I’ll include it!
The kongpanion adventure animation is a good idea, but with my almost non-existent artistic and animating skills it wouldn’t look really cute.
Adding key labels in the X-Pong game looks a good way to make it less confusing. I’ll implement them, thanks!
The clickjacking alert might be related to the calls the game makes to get your avatar or your kongpanion information. The images are located in another domain and that might look suspicious to NoScript. I also use some analytics for tracking user badges, it could be that too.

Vanderwaal, I highly appreciate your feedback.
I’ve uploaded a new version with:

  • A speed limit in speedvoid and less ball spawns, so it’s now more about dodging.
  • Mechanics changed in ParticleShoot. Now, instead of just mass-shooting, to get higher scores you need to make the bullet bounce between the enemies.
  • Possibility to buy Kongbuns in bundles of 25 and 250.
  • A buyable kongpanion autofeeder.
