Topic: Dawn of Darkness / Lucky Tree

Yes, it does say that. That, however, is not my point. My point is that nowhere in-game does it tell you that after taking the chance to upgrade, and eventually succeeding, it is still temporary. Now, I guess I’m happy at the 10k skill points I got from my tree…but I wouldn’t have bothered in the first place if I knew it would only work one time.
Eh, not a big deal either way. From what little of the story-line I’ve actually read, the translation seemed kind of awful, so I’m not surprised if they leave out important tidbits of information.

Topic: Dawn of Darkness / Lucky Tree

Speaking of the Lucky Tree, I can’t find information anywhere that says that fertilizer only works until you harvest, and then the fruit reverts back to normal. I suppose in some ways that makes sense, but I can find nothing in-game that spells that out. Add to that the fact that fertilizing doesn’t always work, and it seems pretty useless.

Sorry, 20 bonus, not 35…you only get one ribbon, the best one you qualify for.

Yes, this is on normal. This is my first time through the zone, I’m around level 200, with equipment attack is 1600+, defense 1200+, and with 350 hp I can barely go five rounds with him. I’m guessing it will take me about 15 rounds to beat him.
I’m starting to think Desent had the right idea, without spending PC it will be a long time before I have a chance to beat him, and I really want the legion upgrade.

Topic: General / Quest Boss Tips

I think equipment does make a difference with quest bosses, up until Dahrizon nothing in zone 10 was doing more than 1 hp of damage to me at a time. When I first started attacking him, I saw 1 hp and 2 hp of damage… then 65. Next thing I knew, I was defeated. I changed armor, went from 100 hp to 350, attacked him again, 150 damage. Then 1 hp damage, then 173. Ouch.
I kind of wonder if he has some sort of huge percentage chance for a special attack. It seems like that would explain the wide range of damage I’ve been seeing. I’ve been doing about 180 hp to him per attack, I’ll never last long enough to finish it.
I’m annoyed, too. I mean, I understand that this area is supposed to be hard, but it took a huge amount of energy to get to the end. Judging by the other bosses, it shouldn’t have been this hard a fight….

Topic: General / Reloading..

I used to do the same thing, so I am going to save you a lot of time right now. In the bottom right corner of the raid page is a box that says “paste raid path here.” Copy a link to a raid to your clipboard, paste that link in the box, and click “join.” Bam, no re-load necessary.
Of course, this process may still take longer than two and a half seconds, so your mileage may vary.

Topic: General / buying pc with gold system

The item idea is more realistic than buying PC with gold. With buying select items for either PC or gold, a new player could get an advantage with actual money, while an experienced player probably wouldn’t need most of the things anyway.
Really, you see this every time there is a game that uses a currency that has to be bought with real money. Someone will think they’ve come up with a great idea “Hey, why not let us buy that currency in-game?” Because, as someone said before, that is one of the ways the developers make money. Trust me, it will never happen.
Just from a personal preference, I wish the PC system was at least even with the Kred system. I don’t like to pay money when I get fewer of the made-up currency I’m buying than the made-up currency I’m buying it with, but that’s just me.

Okay, maybe setting BA techs to 5% of the cost of coin techs is a little low, but I think my point is still valid. The earlier levels should be achievable earlier, and the cost should go up as you increase the level, like it does right now. All I’m saying is, you have to give people a goal to reach. Right now, I have more coins than I need, and I’m constantly fighting for BA. I don’t see enough benefit from 2% here, and 2% there to give up working on my personal techs.
If you have someone who can throw away 220000 BA, more power to them. They’re either high level, spending a lot of money, or not using it to build their own power up. Most people, I would guess, do not fall into these categories. My alliance got coin techs up pretty fast, I don’t see why we can’t have at least a couple of BA levels by now, too.

Also, don’t get me started on fortification.

What is the deal with donating gold coins vs. donating BA? 100 of either will get me the same number of contribution points, and I think we can all agree that gold coins are a lot easier to get.
And the tech? A lot of it is pretty useless as it is, but why would I want to spend 500,000 BA just to get 2% more drafted soldiers? That’s just the first level of that tech, too!
I could better understand if BA tech cost about 5% of the gold coin tech (and maybe give us 10-20 times the contribution points for BA). First level food? 500,000 gold coins. First level draft? 25,000 BA. Of course, the numbers would go up like usual from there, so my suggestion would not make it easy, just a little more achievable.

Topic: Kongregate / Hmm Yea or Nea new featured games?

Well, at least I no longer have the front page with the huge list. I had kind of hoped to see an end to the scrolling front page, but it’s better than being in test group three.
