I can attest to that MrLang/Damfear, it didn’t show properly when we had 3 and BW had 1 and FS had 1…It could be cause the map is too small for it to register properly (domain and what not), but it seems more like a bug to me……..one of the many this game has unfortunately :(
I changed my rating to 1 star some time ago already and I stopped spending money on this months ago to show my discontent about it all

the bonuses granted by these don’t work since you can’t collect them, same as the relic from getting 4 members in the t3 position.
Also, both sides have to accept, making this the dumbest thing ever (or very fraude sensitive), same as the challenge system.

Topic: Ballistic / OP Guns

I’ve been playing the grenadier class for a bit now and I do think it’s a perfect fit: a close combat soldier with the ability to support it’s team with long range explosives.
About the tank class (or guns), they should get an increase in firerate, but a lower damage per round and a bigger spread imho. This is what has been done in just about every other FPS and it works out to be the way to go. Usually I would add a “buff when stationary or crouched to dmg and accuracy” but the maps aren’t big enough to “set up camp” so to speak. Now he’s just a sluggish big ass target and gets hammered by just about anyone, even in 1v1 battles where both face each other at the same time.
Although I’m usually (at least mentally) smashing my head on my keyboard every time I get slashed by a ninja, I do think it’s not that hard to battle a katana wielding shadow. Having said that, the dash option should not be there as well as the invisible stuff. The “speedhack” and the “no footsteps” already make it a very good class to play with once you get the hang of it. It would also make countering them a little easier when you face one at the end of a corridor. Now a shadow wielding machine pistols with what seems to be a higher firing rate and better accuracy than say the vanguard guns (haven’t toyed with the higher tier ones yet), is in my opinion far more dangerous. I’m trying to level all of the classes, so I “had” to play with the shadow as well. I was surprised how easy I got kills with it by using the machine pistols and was top of the board from the first match on.

Well, just my 2 cents I guess. Just checking the game now to see my premium stuff go to waste and expire whilst the server is not working for 1-15. “I hope they reimburse some of it” * he grumbles to himself *

For what it’s worth, I agree. 50k should be 50k. That way you solve the 50k trade cap as well.
I understand the need to battle alts with stuff like the trade cap, but then again you don’t ban alts even after they’re reported so what’s the point?
Also, since the 50k trade cap is in place, all you’ll see are more alts, which in turn gives a bad view of the total number of players as well as a representative picture towards Kong and/or advertisement companies.

Just my 2 cents.

Scouting doesn’t mean anything. You can scout my haven right now if you want and you’ll see no troops there, but send a raid and there will be a couple million def stationed. And I doubt that a lvl 28 with lvl 3 prestige activated is considered a low level inactive, but oh well. Difference in opinion I guess.

Instead you are able to “improve” the UI, bring out “new” units, force the academy on Brotherhoods, make quests, introduce the prestige system, add voodoo dolls, add brotherhood challenges, introduce presidios, introduce the chinese units, add steam units, add skins, etc. etc. etc.
Seems to me you need to fix the game before adding stuff. Also, funny how you only address the bugs part which is 1 or 2 of the only 10 issues posted here.

I’m not asking for a PERFECT game, I’m asking for a HALF-DECENT game but I guess it’s not going to happen.

The reason why I sent 450 sols instead of 45 is because I didn’t know what to encounter. For all I knew, there was half a million worth of defense at the haven. That’s my point: I could send a smaller force and risk losing them all, but why should I be forced to do so to get decent points? I understand the need of balance, but this is getting weird.

@Whitby, again I see the point of there being balance, but why are higher level players (aka playing longer, being more active), paying players or players doing a lot of prizes (since the higher end prizes give out rewards like 600 sols or 1800 gunboats) at such a disadvantage when it comes to xp and points? And yes, offensive units should give less offense points, but 1.1 point per unit average? That’s a bit harsh, ain’t it?

I can see that some people might take advantage of flaws in the system, but as EK said, you can only kill so many units, right?
Now, if it’s about losing troops, that’s a different story…then you could send 500 × 1 mara raids to get maximum points for them without risking any losses on the other side. Thats a stupid system to begin with, to base the point system on units you lose when attacking someone.

The system is so flawed. Earlier I got a lucky hit on someone and killed 2 dread cannons, 1 plague ship, 8 schooner, 36 sols, 71 juggs, 47 brethren juggs, 1 brig, 4 frigs, 15 brethren frigs, 190 bombs, 16 luggers, 1 cannon, 8 brethren bombs, 226 duelists, 76 buccs, 11 DC, 38 marines and 103 marauders…
You want to know the grand total of points I got for that? a whopping 955 points. This was by losing 5% of my attacking troops.
The way the system works is that, if I would’ve sent 45 sols instead of 450 sols, and losing 22 from the attack, I would’ve received a heapton of points for it…just cause I would’ve lost nearly 50% of my units. That’s beyond stupid: In order to get good points, you need to send in small raids in the hopes of losing some, but not lose all of em in the process…

Yet another example why I’m thinking of quitting this game altogether

Why haven’t I received Experience Points for the battle?

Captains!

We would like to provide you with the explanations regarding the changes in the experience points calculation system after the latest update (04.06.2014).

Experience points depend on number of units you kill and their characteristics. The more strong units with high upgrade level you kill (e.g. Juggernauts), the more experience points you get.

For small battles ranking and experience points are significantly understated to avoid foul play. During 1000 attacks with one Marauder player will receive 0 experience points, but one attack in 1000 Marauders will give a very good bonus in experience and ranking points.

It’s more efficient to kill 10 000 enemy’s units in one battle, than 100 units in 100 battles.

Build big army, upgrade your units and take part in massive battles.

Great battles will glorify your name and bring you many experience points!

And for PvP:

PvP (Player vs Player) quests are a quest between players that lasts several days (the time of each quest may vary).

PvP points can be obtained for lost and/or killed troops at the following locations:

at Havens at Targets at Presidios

Destroyed Spanish Fleet at Presidios and Prizes will not count towards getting PvP points as these are PvE battles (Player vs Environment).

Please note that only PvP points affect your position in the rankings for this operation. You will see a special icon in the battle report when PvP points are credited. If you do not see this icon (with PvP points) in your battle report then it means that you did not get these points and they will not affect your ranking position.

The amount of PvP points depend on the battle you are having. The bigger the battle you are having and the more troops you have killed, the more PvP points you are going to get! If you haven’t got any PvP points after a certain battle, i.e. you haven’t managed to destroy enough units of your enemy in order to get them. Hence you will have no PvP points.

It’s not like Plarium is gonna care about anything we say on the forums, but I have to give it a go…
I’m about ready to just say, to hell with it all, and quit the game. And I’ll tell you why:
1. Alts. Now, I know you can’t get rid of alts in these kind of games entirely by using standard methods, but even obvious ones are allowed to play for weeks on end. Furthermore, I reported 7-8 alt users (some obvious, some not so obvious) in the last 3 months and those are still allowed to continue to play this game. Hell, I made a couple of alts myself and got a friend to report them to plarium and we’re now 3 weeks down the road and they are still allowed to play. For the record, they are sub-30s with like 120 p/h income, 3k cap and 3k harbor, so please don’t think I’m profiting from them or that they are worthy raid targets. I will also be abandoning them as of today.
2. Relics. This might not seem a big issue to some of you, but if the membercount in the Requiem brotherhood is an indication, about 80% or more of the people playing on this server are suffering from the same bug: can’t buy relic slots to store relics and can’t accept the BH achievement relics (in our case: 14 days of 100% production of each res). This bug has been reported by numerous people on numerous occasions for the last 3 months and it’s still not fixed. People are losing out on relics and relic targets have become less worthwhile since you can’t keep the relics anyways.
3. Lighthouse. The fact that you need to refresh your browser in order to see who’s actually holding a target is annoying at best, catastrophic at worst. Loads and loads of units have been lost, just cause of friendly fire and some people on slower connections will be out of the game for a minute or so every time they need to refresh and by the time they refreshed the target could’ve been taken by someone else without showing it properly…warranting another refresh, etc. etc.
4. Quests. Let’s start with Global. We’re being deprived of it (and the rubies/idols it gives as a reward). Kabam had it, Facebook had it….we’re just screwed on kong. The Lonely Captain quest….don’t get me wrong, it’s a very good way of getting some rubies/idols into the hands of lower level players (since it gives out more or less points whether you are higher or lower level) and it helps to get rid of units in terms of promoting pvp. However, since I’m the highest level player, it’s hard to get points…I had to kill 800k def just to get like 2k-3k points for the quest, having to sacrifice a lot of units in the process…Some other high levels have the same issue (60
) as well and it discourages those from participating in the event.
Also, you should be able to cancel quests to your pleasing…nobody wants to look at a 2 or 3 day timer of something they are not going to fulfill anyways.
5. Experience/pvp points. Apart from the fact that the players have no clue about how this is calculated, until the 4th of june the points SHOULD have been calculated by the amount of rum the units were using. For example, a submarine uses 4 rum p/h, so killing 1 should’ve given you 4 points….it didn’t work this way, did it? Killing 200 sols vs killing 200 subs (both uses 4 rum p/h) would give you different amount of points (almost none for the sols and more for the subs). Now they have changed it per the 4th of june (without letting us know in the forums or news) so you have to have big battles in order to get any points. In other words, killing 100 × 5 subs will not give you points (or hardly) but killing 500 subs at once (which requires a significant enough force that only the paying players or high level players can muster) will get you a good amount of points.
6. Gear mills. Hmm, let’s see…if the Requiem Brotherhood, in terms of membercount, is any indication, about 80% of the entire server is stuck on the mission to capture a gear mill or collect resources from it. No progression anymore because of it, despite it being introduced on the 21st of may (over a month ago!!!).
7. The “new and improved UI”. Gimme a break…it saves all of 1 click to get to where you want to go, yet it clogs up the screen even more. It also makes loading slower and since you need to refresh multiple times a day cause of memoryleaks and the lighthouse bug, this does not improve the game at all. It also zooms in all the way now, which is annoying, but not something you can’t deal with easily. The “popups” from leveling up a building or applying pearls now take up a considerable amount of space on the screen. It also makes it more difficult to click on certain buildings case either the popup is blocking it or you hover your mouse over the building next to it and click on the popup itself. Also, when you go to someone’s haven and it’s blockaded it now does not show on the top left corner, but rather on the pirate stronghold. Nothing spectacular, but it’s once again no improvement. All in all, this “improved UI” is not improved at all, rather it adds stuff we didn’t need, fills the screen with stuff we don’t need and it increased loading times and lag.
8. Shipmate system. This has been a point of discussion for a long time over all platforms. Instead of showing you when your shipmates are scouted, attacked or blockaded…it shows you the targets they themselves scout, attack or blockade. Granted, this is a very handy way to work together (need less scouts to “scan” a larger area, knowledge when farms are being hit so you don’t scout or raid needlessly, etc. etc.) but it’s not how it’s supposed to work.
9. Diplomacy. I do understand why some options like peace or war warrant an OK from both parties, but now every single option needs to be OK’d by both parties. This means that a BH cannot decide to set another BH to enemy or ally (making it easier for people inside the BH to see who to attack and who not to) without consent of the other party…have you ever heard of a war where both sides had to agree to have war in order to wage war????
10. Academy. The academy is a nice addition to any BH that wants to get more starting members in and now the additional 10 spots to house them is really great. However! It’s impossible to deny people from joining your BH anymore. This is not something you should force upon BH’s and it is very very annoying to have to kick people every half an hour just cause you want to do it differently (invite only perhaps, or you just don’t want low level players).

There was no need for this “upgraded” UI…it lags more now and when you log in or refresh (which you have to do a lot cause of memory leaks, game mechanics and no updates on the lighthouse) it zooms all the way in. What on earth were you guys thinking???

All support tells me is that it’s being looked at. Well, stop looking at it and fix it already!

the timer is for the quest itself, aka getting the rewards. If you build it before the timer runs out, you get the reward. If it goes down to zero before you build it, you get nothing when and if you build it.
