~What classes are there?
Right now, there are quite a few classes, all can be found at http://forums.wildshadow.com/wiki/realm-mad-god/classes
You start out with Wizard. Wizard has the highest DPS in the game, but is very fragile. Be careful!
~How do I change classes?
Die. It is easiest to die and get fame to get to the character select screen. You can also use the gray statue, but you have to delete your character and not get any fame.
~I keep dieing, this sucks!
Dieing is not uncommon. Dieing happens to everybody, from seasoned veterans, to brand new newbies. Don’t give up! Take a break, sure, but part of the magic of the game is dieing and restarting.
~I’ve gotten to level 20 and I believe my gear is good, now what?
As you may know, level 20 is the max level. The game was designed to have a low max level so that you can get there easily and focus more on end-game material. What you want to do now is go into dungeons. Dungeons in order of difficulty are: Abyss of Demons>Undead Lair=Sprite World>Snake Pit
The Undead Lair and Sprite world are arguably about even in difficulty, but the Undead Lair monsters tend to hit hard. Other things include farming kills in godlands, which is what players of the game refer to as the dark, mountain area. The hardest normal enemies in the game roam here, be careful! Finally, there are Event Gods. These Event Gods are very difficult, and you’ll probably want to stay away from them for a while. If you feel you are ready, check the games wiki and look at how strong you are. Also, you will likely die the first time. Don’t rage, just calm down and take a break. It’s just pixels in a game.
~What do I do, anyway.
Kill monsters to gain better loot and experience. This game’s party system works on whoever is in the general area get xp. The more, the merrier when getting experience!
~I wanted to trade with a guy, but he wouldn’t accept it. I sent it a few more times and he started to yell at me. Why?
Most of the time, these players have far better items then you, and probably think you are begging. Hang in there. Trading should be consensual, like sex. You can’t just force it upon somebody and not expect them to be angry.
~No one wants to buy my items. Why?

Generally, anything above Tier 8 is considered sell worthy.
~I keep dieing and I hate this game and nobody is helping me.
Quit. No one is forcing you to play. If no one is responding to you/insulting you, they are usually a douche bag or you did something to anger the. You be the judge of that. If scenario A, you can ignore them and continue on, but don’t whine about other people.
~What classes are most useful.
This is a difficult answer. If I was to be honest, rogue is best. It is also very risky and considered over-powered. Wizard has an outrageous damage per second, so they’re good also. Knights are amazing with a maxed defense stat. However, any class you like is a good class. Except trickster, statwise, that is a horrible class, and ability wise, a difficult class.
~I picked up an ability item, how do I use it.
Ability items can be used by pressing space bar or shift-clicking. Every class has a different ability, so remember that. They use up a certain defined number of MP, which regenerates naturally. It can also be restored by using common MP pots, or rare wine cellar wines.
~This game is awesome, is there anything I can do.
This game is primarily focused on community. Do whatever you can for the community. They’ll love you in return, just keep helping.
Tips:
Melee classes are very hard without eating some stat pots.
Stat potion values is generally
1.5 def = 1 vit
1 def >~ 2 wis
1 def = 3 att
1 def = 4 dex
1 def = 6 spd
5-6 def = 1 life
F5 is the return to nexus key. Use it! Don’t lose all your hard work, get out of there.
Also, remapping your keys is beneficial. I recommend you remap nexus to “F” “E” or “Q,” however, do what you want.
Check out the Slang to English section on the wiki, it will teach you a lot of valuable terms.
Invest lots of time into this game. As of right now, it is pretty intense and you may find yourself going nowhere fast if you rarely play.
Check the games official forums for help, among other things.
I can not stress this enough: Buy gold. Gold is used to buy non-essential/beneficial things. It is the only thing paying for the games massive server cost other then their out of pocket money. I know kong hates paying money, but everything you ca buy you can get without gold or is not important. Please, buy some, and support the developers.
