Topic: Tyrant / Three different card filters for simulators

Hi there, a question for moraku…
I tried to parse my owned cards by enabling “Upgrade all cards you already own”, but I saw that it didn’t consider the upgraded version of deadblow (I had none upgraded at the moment, but 5 “base” versions of it).
Other cards like sidewinder were upgraded instead. I don’t know if there are other cards with that problem

uhm… last minute idea: would it be possible to have, maybe in future time-limited events/quests some special side effects to test something like that?
for example, a side effect that gives 100% activation to all skills that now have 50%?

that would allow a very quick feedback by a great amount of users for a limited amount of time, so it wouldn’t break the game.
maybe a similar idea could be used to test new skills before they’re out… but I acknowledge this is offtopic, maybe I’ll open a new topic in the future about that :)

+1 though for the Original Post. Any way to take control over the people in your faction gets my vote, because the opinions and habits of the masses need to be manipulated.

Topic: Tyrant / [Guide] Moderate Warbonding

This is an useful guide IMO :)
I don’t have parasite and I never thought to get one (I find it really slow, so it needs support to be activated; the monarch idea seems nice).
What do you think about radio officiers and ravenous beasts?

I see many people using them in raider def decks or surge decks (with pyro rigs or concussive guards, often with yurich); also, someone still finds useful to use 1 adamantite armor in grim specter decks.

The other cards you suggested are nice to give some variety to the gameplay (specially if someone likes to experiment with decks or if they do conquest). Great job :)

EDIT: OK, OK, I see them added, nvm :P

Not exactly, successes achieved solely thanks to the wallet instead of own merits make me disappointed, not raging.


I know this is sweet for you, you must be proud of yourself almost as much as you were when you won your wars by warbonding, I guess.


Despite the “wallet support”, how many people did hoschi actually MADE PLAY (both in the factions he played in and in his opponent factions) by coordinating or giving them ingame support to improve since when he’s here? Some hundreds?
I think he really should be proud ;)

On a Windows machine, you might notice the Pepper API version might be different, but the performance should always be relatively close. I have no experience with Mac’s to talk about that p.o.s. On Linux, the pepper client is basically the viable Flash client….

People adjusted their factions to the current conquest and to completely make it irrelevant is a slap in the face to many factions. A lot of hard work and effort on both sides of the Alliance/Non-Alliance has gone to complete waste. Pre-Conquest the Alliance traded wars for FP.. Then conquest came out and the Alliance traded both wars and tiles for FP. Now they even the FP system in conquest and then make conquest 100% irrelevant. The moral of the story is the Alliance will STILL trade wars for FP and now wont have to worry about conquest and can collect tokens doing so.

I can see why this is appealing to you… But when all your enemies quit because of this update will you really find simming and trading wars for FP still fun? If so, than this game will be perfect for you to continue playing.

Although Kael you out of everyone on the other side of the line have actually made some competent suggestions.. I think when you realize a lot of people will leave the game now, that it will be very boring. I just dont feel like adding different rewards solves the underlying problem here

I understand your points of view about alliance VS anti-alliance.
They’re not really correct and I would be glad to discuss that privately if you want later to avoid trolling; in this moment I just wanted to highlight a small note about my “reward suggestion” for conquest (maybe I didn’t express myself well, sorry): the fact that I suggested a temporary reward.

My idea is that after their faction gets a particular CR/tile number breakpoint, faction members can get particular cards that last in their cardpool for a limited amount of time (24 hours?) and can be bought by a relatively small amount of gold.

My points of view about that:
- Collectors don’t get mad about the fact they cannot hold all cards, since this card is temp only (and may be renewed on each map reset, adapting it to current meta)
- If card is owned for 24 hours only, it’s necessary that factions fight to get the CR/tile numbers breakpoints (otherwise no card for their members): on previous map it wasn’t possible for more than 1 faction to get 100 CR. If factions want to ally to reach 100 CR and “trade” the central tile, they cannot get benefit of that reward anyway
- Factions can decide to join conquest for a limited amount of time, to get access to that temp reward, then go back o faction wars when they feel bored

The “temp card reward” is the first thing that came to my mind; I think there may be better suggestions, but the “temporary aspect” of the bonus (and the fact that it’s necessary to have competition to get it) is very important, in my opinion.

Final note: I think that only devs (or maybe inorix and catepillar) have the data to understand if forcing to do conquest to be competitive, in this moment, is globally keeping people play or making them quit the game; every faction leader/officier may have completely different data, based on their experience and the reactions of their factionmates

Peoples love for conquest is pretty evident with the amount of activity on the board. A majority of the factions have sat on their tiles and done nothing since getting their tiles… That sounds like loads of enjoyment…

Good thing factions who dont enjoy conquest (and only played it for the rewards) can opt to not join the map then… makes room for many smaller factions that actually want to participate in conquest. To me this sounds like more activity on the board really.

Agreed. Top factions were forced into conquest so they wouldn’t be left behind.

To incentivate factions playing conquest, how do you evaluate the idea to add some reward cards that can be earned only while a faction has a certain amount of CR (maybe making the 100 CR reward an incredibly good card)?
What about making that card (or all the conquest-cards) “temporary” (once you get it, it lasts for 1-2 weeks), so people has to re-gain it after a certain amount of time?

So, if people want to get that card, they must join a faction very active in conquest for enough time to get 2.5k LP with them.

It seems strange, since I had problems on chrome only and not on firefox (I was using the same flash version).
I don’t know if this could work (someone reported it may create problem with gamesaves for other games), but as a temp workaround, I ended with re-enabling pepflashplayer.dll and disabling NPSWF32_11_6_602_180.dll from chrome://plugins/

I hope this could help someone else too.

Uhm… maybe you’re right about the fact that colors could be not clear for new players.

What about adding the number of cards on each deck on the right?
Example:

Sycophants 8
CONQUEST DECK 10
Tabitha 0

And so on?
The 2nd idea is to be able to check quickly if there are empty decks around or if some of them have cards missing

Topic: Tyrant / [Bug] Tyrant assumes global chat is available when not

Since this morning, I had a problem that maybe is similar (with Chrome), both on the kongregate and the armor games version of Tyrant (it works under firefox, instead).

If I click on the “missions” tab, it opens the deck build window and all the buttons have random behaviours. It seems like the “clickable” part of the screen is shifted bottom-left.
I tried to clear the cache and reload the browser, but the problem remains.

No problems under Firefox, so far, instead.
