He doesn’t look like Malort.

Unless Malort survived some face explosion. Or, if Gnorlock puts on Malort’s headgear thing to look more attractive for the girls.

Topic: Tyrant: General Tyrant Discussion / Which one skill wrecked the game the most(Poll)

Refresh did have a big impact on the game, sundering ogre spams and beacons + eqg were awfully hard to beat, but in my opinion, the one skill that literally broke the game was summon. It could have been a good addition if done right, but well. It wasn’t done right.

I found a sillier bug. I killed a shockwave hammer with ulf, ulf’s supply proc’d and hammer emulated it, getting 4 health and I had to hit it again. The card dissapeared like when cards are killed, so I basically hit a blank space for 5 damage.

I mean, I guess 5 legendaries, 100 wb and 100 sp is okay, until you realise those legendaries are completely useless unless you get the epics needed to fuse them (that’s a good load of wbs) and that 100 wbs won’t help you get them. Also 100 sp is a laughable amount.

Heck, even the 10 legendaries, 500 wb and 500 sp seems a ridiculously crappy gift for players that spent WAY MORE on WMT. Not even a special, exclusive legendary for us to feel like home. Nothing. Just more crap one would have gotten eventually with time and more money. This is just a very small push in the game.

Bad move devs. I’ll probably just quit T:U soon, not even worth to stay there with all those random fanboys kissing devs ass for this crap.

Topic: The Last Stand: Dead Zone / Add stealth ... and killing animations

I don’t think it would be very practical in most situations. Maybe in small places where there aren’t many zombies, otherwise in large places, getting spotted would kill you because of the huge horde. Maybe for raiding it would be very useful, it would give melee more importance in pvp.

But for average missions, it wouldn’t help much.

Knockback does make area damage with ranged weapons, that’s why I still use shotguns on my scavengers instead of higher level pistols.

Topic: The Last Stand: Dead Zone / Some questions

Hitting multiple zombies in one attack is possible thanks to knockback. If you hit a zombie and knock it back, the damage will also apply to the surrounding zombies.

Also knockback does have more benefits:
-Stops zombie’s current action, making it take longer to attack.
-Hits made on knocked back zombies score criticals (2x damage, crits can also be scored by hitting zombies on the back).
-Transfer damage to nearby zombies.

EDIT:

To answer some more of your questions:

AI doesn’t heal, they just sit where you left them shooting. You’ve got to be careful on how you place them.

Noise attracts zombies on the map. If you go around with melee weapons (no chainsaws since they do make noise) it’s possible to do a mission staying undetected. However, it’s not proved or confirmed that it may increase spawn rate or total cap of zombies or increase the chance of zombie rushes. The voices of survivors don’t count to noise, they are simple aesthetics with no effects.

To get bonuses from the drop off, the drop off has to be full (has the [!] sign on it). Otherwise, it won’t give the bonus. Bonuses are somewhat common, you’ll typically get a bonus from around half your total drop offs (from my experience it is like this), but I have no idea of what is the official chance.

Improvised weapons can only be crafted.

Just bandits. Soldiers (both HERC and military) have already withdrawn from the dead zone.

Topic: The Last Stand: Dead Zone / possible additions to the game

First idea is something I’m completely in favor of, but it should have a cost and cooldown. For example, build a big noise bomb costing 10+ explosive charges and such that would take, for example, 6 hours to build, and would attract a small amount of infected. As you level up, you unlock stronger bombs that would cost more, take longer to build and bring more infected as a result.

Being raided by CPU bandits would also be very fun, though it would require a more complex AI that than the regular zombie one. Depending on your level and survivor count you could get attacked by a corresponding amount with some weapons that you could recieve as loot after you finish the attack. Say, you are level 5, have 3 survivors, get attacked by 3 bandits, one has a damaged tauron and the other two some melee weapons. When you become level 20, when you get attacked, they have 10 survivors with decent firearms (mostly common and a few uncommon weapons), a couple of guys might carry explosives. After hitting endgame, guys will come with at least very uncommon weapons, everyone will have at least one explosive, and after beating them you’d get a good sum of exp. + some of their weapons/gear as loot. To make it balanced though, their attacks would be much more rare than infected attacks (say, once every 3-4 days) but with similar mechanisms to make them raid you more (say, instead of noise bombs, smoke beacons).

The idea of mutated zombies don’t really match this game in my opinion, so I don’t think that should go in game.

Indeed, actually, the double experience bonus you get when you log back in is the “rested” effect, basically meaning that the longer you log out (i.e. your survivors sleep) the better they’ll do next time you log in.

Topic: Tyrant: General Tyrant Discussion / [No, it is not okay to] Destroy T:U

Oh my gawd I’m so famous now! You should be grateful I don’t charge royalties.

To be fair, what I meant with T:U losing momentum and stuff was basically what happened when T:U began becoming popular hurting WMT’s overall state. I’m not a mindless T:U hater. I do think the game is lame and very p2w, yes, but I wouldn’t care at all about that game if WMT’s development wasn’t left like this because of it. That’s the root of the whole problem.

Now, I do see the fact that devs wouldn’t simply throw away T:U. They have already invested too much on it (not only money, though that’s the biggest part of it, but also time, seeing that they already have a 6-months roadmap apparently). However, if this game got a second wind with this last update(s), maybe that would make devs reconsider about letting it die. I don’t think that the right idea is destroying T:U (though that’d be fun to see), my guess is that this game needs to become better and attractive again. Sure, that’s a very tough situation because there’s only this much that we as the community can do.

In all honesty, that whole thing I typed makes me believe that we still have a chance. Slim, not very likely or possible at all, but there it is. I guess I’m too much of a dreamer and too mushy for this kind of stuff. We should all just try to make the best out of this last time over here, and wish that devs have a bit of respect or some kind of love for this game inside their Heart of Corruption, which is possibly the biggest project they have made so far, and that has have a big impact on some people.

Yes, I got too sentimental on that parragraph lol.

Topic: Tyrant: General Tyrant Discussion / [Survey] 4 simple questions to reflect devs' latest decision. (Updated with Pie Charts from 50 entries so far)

1) Either B or C, probably B leading to C.

2) B or C, but in particular C; main factor would be a big part of my friends go play it.

3) Random games on Steam, here in kong lately I’ve been playing Obliterate Everything 3 and The Last Stand: Dead Zone. The games are good and stuff, but they seriously lack a community like WMT’s. I guess I’ll slowly begin to stop playing online games, eventually leaving kong and worry more about other stuffs in life.
