I saw an ad for this show recently. I really don’t agree with the anti-whaling people. Violence begets violence, and harassing the Japanese whaling ships is only going to make things uglier. Although the Japanese whalers don’t have a right to shoot the protesters, I wouldn’t blame them for using aggressive tactics of their own.

You hear them every election, “If candidate x wins, I’m moving out of the US”. Really people, is that necessary? They make it sound like the end of the world if their candidate loses. I mean, the president isn’t the only important position in government. You can always help the campaigns of your local senators and representatives. If your party controls Congress, then they still have a major say in what policies are implemented in the US. I find it pretty nonsensical to move out.

one individual can not prove that there is a God any more then one can prove that there is a God.

What he said. You can’t prove that a god exists. But you can’t disprove it either. I never really had a religion to follow when growing up, so I never really believed in a God. Sure nearly every culture on the planet has some sort of religion with a god, but that doesn’t prove a god exists. It simply shows that humanity is constantly searching for answers to questions that can’t be answered (what happens after death, “miracles”, etc.). You can also probably cite lots of coincidences where people prayed and a miracle happened. But compare that to the amount of times people prayed and a miracle did not happen.
