Topic: Forge of Gods / I lost my day 28 daily reward

Happened to me, fixed itself, happened again the next day, and then reset today as well.
My timed daily every day quests (like Help Peasants Harvest, etc.) constantly reset when I look at them wrong, too… so if all of my quest-and-adventuring progress can be lost in an instant, and now my consecutive days progress is lost… why am I playing this game?

Really?

Continuing issue I have, where leaving the game – whether redirecting the page or closing the tab/window – will make it forget quests that I’ve started. Case in point: I redirected the page 6 minutes (I’d just checked) before the final timed daily quest, the Attend the Royal Ball one, would be complete. I’d also collected all the rewards for the preceding quests, the 37500 Gold quest, and the 10 Daily Quests beforehand. About ten minutes after redirecting, I came back to find the Help Peasants to Harvest and the Protect Village from Wolves quest marked complete – after I’d already collected their rewards – and the next quest to do is the Repair the King’s Carriage one. The 37500 Gold quest has also returned.

This is at least the fifth time I’ve had these quests drop on me that I can remember, but never on such a drastic scale – I essentially just lost 8 1/2 hours of gameplay in ten minutes. I’ve had it drop overnight stuff – when I closed down and slept – but this was time that the tab was open and active.

Aside from the quests, it forgot all the levels I got in that time, all the meat I sent to friends, and a Zombie Wolf → Dead Forest Wolf mega-evolution.

@ChernomorAS: About PVP, many people have complained on here, but it’s messed up in numerous ways. I hardly bother trying to use it, so I’m not the best informant, but I’ve run into:
The numbers denoting enemy strength being massively underestimated (they’ll be, say 5 points stronger than me and turn my army into mush in one turn).
PVP auto-chosen enemies becoming stronger every time you win – so that after one, maybe two wins, the weakest option available will be 20% stronger than me.
Related to point one, many people say, and I think they’re right, that Genies and maybe some Dragons are severely underestimated in the pre-scoring, so a supposed winnable fight is a complete curbstomp.
Anyone else think of something I missed?

So I’ve complained before about the game forgetting me starting daily quests if I close the tab right after but:
Last night: Past midnight I started the Help Peasants To Harvest quest, finish it, start the Save Village From Wolves quest, leave tab and window open with my computer asleep.
Just now I turned on the computer, the browser crashed and I restarted it… and was rewarded YESTERDAY’S daily reward with no Daily Quests started. I just lost around twelve (if mainly passive) hours of gameplay. This is a continuing, worsening issue for me.

EDIT: I did get today’s daily reward properly, but I am still having issues with the Daily timed quests dropping.

The new(?) green flooring on the Army screen makes it really difficult to tell what units are maxed at a glance. Green on green :/

Also, for the love of god, please do something about the PVP strength ranking. It’s been broken for months.

I’ve run into this before, months ago. It seems to be an ongoing issue.

PVP power ratings have always been way off, but now they’re suddenly in the triples digits when previously it was 50s-60s for me and up to the 80s for opponents. One opponent’s power, advertised as 38 or so, suddenly jumped to 338 after they completely destroyed me. What the heck is going on?

Every time I try to start the game I get a pop-up saying it’s outdated and needs to update. When I hit the “Update” button, the game tries to restart, then gives me the notice again. Can’t log in at all.

Thought Id post the issue here instead of in cheaters just in case. But his tree looks bugged. Registering as a first evo, but as elite, should have 3 stars, and only has two.

No, I mean my units move up a space, face-to-face with enemies (stationary or mobile, doesn’t seem to matter) and neither side attacks for one turn. It can sometimes be nice but generally screws up my strategy.

I’m continually running into a problem where, if I start a quest after midnight, close the browser, and open it later, the game totally forgets my actions. I’m not saying that I’m immediately shutting it down after hitting ‘Start’, either – I had finished “Help Peasants Harvest” and “Save Village From Wolves” and started on the next one, “Repair King’s Carriage”, the idea being I could come back after that was done and start the next ones… except when I opened the browser just now, the available quest was “Save Village From Wolves” again. Yeah, healing while progressing (but not fighting) is iffy. I’ve also had units advance without attacking, even when they could do so, I think it may be a related issue.

(Apologies if I’m repeating someone else’s idea.)

1. Some kind of control on what to capture? A way to trash captures before the level ends would be nice. Maybe use the Soul Medallion or something to increase the likelihood of getting a particular creature’s drop.
2. (I’ll admit, I’m pretty bad at PVP.) It’d be nice if we could get, say, 1-5 Glory for participating in or winning PVP matches, not just the 3-streak kind of wins. Similar to how old stages now give 1 EXP when you replay them.
3. Please stop making evo/fusion-only monsters count towards a full inventory. Please. It’s nice that they stack now, but this should NOT be an issue, period.
4. Similarly, the banner that pops up when you’re over capacity blocks out the categories, which in turn makes it a bit difficult to judge what needs to go in the first place (and the now-obsolete pop ups in stages are just annoying).
5. Maybe a ‘trash bucket’ type thing where, when over capacity (and/or in anticipation for being over capacity), you can switch in lesser units of your choice to potentially lose. I’ve lost at least two of those Imps just because I couldn’t log back on in time – due to technical issues on the developer’s side.
6. In that vein, when you’re having technical difficulties, maybe… don’t trash extra units??? Because people can’t fix it in time?
7. A more thorough listing of where you can capture units (not just the first stage) would be appreciated.
8. For battle items like potions, shields, etc. – first, please add a purchase confirmation! I spent like a dozen gems without realizing it until I got the “Spend X gems” achievement. Secondly, have different quantities available – buy 1 for 2 Gems, for example, but also buy 3 or 5 for 5 Gems, 10 for 12, etc.
9. Kind of extraneous, but maybe a Citadel/Castle option where you can MAYBE turn a creature Elite, with a bonus chance if it had one or more Elite components, Megaevolved components, etc.

Is anyone else getting incredibly poor yield with the capture pendants? 51% capture rate, I don’t think so. I’ve used about thirty of them and gotten all of two captures.

And the percentage decreases for some reason, too. It’s a pretty thinly-veiled sales pitch for the capture cameras.

Update on this. I’d noticed that sometimes you could go into a fight even when you lacked the required energy, but just thought it was a bug. However, I’m now pretty certain these two are connected – that is, if you try to go into a fight with inadequate energy, instead of shutting you down, the game lets you do battle with as many cards as you can afford to bring in.

I can sort of see, in theory, why this might seem like a good idea, but when you don’t inform the players of it and don’t provide anyway to turn it off, it turns into a massive pain.

Yeah, same. I’m not surprised at all that this game has been featured on EscherGirls, but I really do enjoy playing it. There’s just some really, really weird/creepy anatomy choices. The sheer number of artists involved kind of makes it weirder, you’d think there’d be a little more accuracy.

As for suggestions: I would really like some kind of settings besides “Sound On/Off” (which it doesn’t even remember when you log back on). For example, some kind of choice in how much animation you see, possibly a quality setting, etc. I also have no idea where, if anywhere, the clock is for when the day ends/begins, and I would like to know instead of guessing.

I don’t care about the storyline, but the intro writing/translation is awful. I’ve learned more through trial and error than the tutorial, which covered basic functionality but doesn’t explain why anything works the way it does. And there doesn’t seem to be any way to go back over that information, either.

@Arya – Just because something’s common doesn’t mean it’s good.
I definitely have issues with some of the card art, but the game itself is pretty interesting. It’s not just cheesecake poses slapped onto a terrible design.
