Command and Conquer
Reading this & in TvTropes (look for Artificial Stupidity), as well as playing most of them… I favored RA2/YR the most, I haven’t played the latest ones (C&C4, and only a bit of RA3). I enjoy the C&C game much more than SC.

Mission in Space: The Lost Colony strategy guide.
This is quite useful, still stuck on Mission 12 on Normal (I take long breaks when I lose), working out a strategy.
I am also pissed off that something happened to Mission 11 when I got most of my guys in the elevator after the 4 panels have been pressed and suddenly, I can’t control any of my troops. I had to force myself to lose 2 turns (and eventually lost the game).

Do developers bother reading feedback on same-genre games?
This is making me think of Kingdom Rush, it didn’t need a speed multiplier because from what I experienced, as later levels becomes too fast paced and you need to be able to use the skills at the right moment. Imagine those quick units running through majority of the towers on those 1 life challenges, and be unable to use the reinforcements because the speed was 8x or something.

Look at the background properly while traversing the area, you would be able to see some of them on top of wooden fences, but they would normally be on hard to reach spots.

Best Megaman Game
I never said it was fake. I meant it was hard to find non-mainstream (or spin-offs), such as Battle & Chase (I only found the Japanese version, the English version I was able to play via the MMX collection for the PS2).

Unfortunately, I don’t have that one. It’s hard to find non-mainstream games, let alone those doujin/bootleg ones. There was also a monopoly type game.
Oh, and I almost forgot about Megaman Legends (it’s also one of my favorite). I missed that series, ever since Capcom decided to pull the plug on the 3rd installment a few months back.

I’m quite a Megaman fan myself, have most of the games.
I do enjoy both the classic & X series (includes the Kart racing Battle & Chase for Classic & RPG Command Missions for X series), but I did play the others (Zero & ZX), on the other hand, my brother played the Battle Network & Star Force series.

Kingdom Rush (skill question)

Though it’s quite annoying if they use them abilities at the wrong time or target (Insta-kill or headshot on a weak enemy like a goblin and letting a heavy pass through), then again for the record, 1 less enemy is still good.
Also, it might help to note that in most cases, one of the abilities for each advanced type appears to be for a single target (Ranger poison, Sniper’s headshot, Aveda Ke Dava, Polymorph, etc), and the other is for AOE (Rock Elemental has AOE hits btw). Choosing which one to upgrade 1st is part of the strategy.

I cannon recall anymore, but I seem to find more fish on a certain level 3 stage (has lots of water). It was one of my last to obtain milestones, and I had to repeat that certain stage to get the requirements. I think it is also that area where if you go on the mountain path (rather than the underground path) that you’ll find lots of birds.

Original or just the same game

They are not based on my view as well they have different style (like kill-streaks and stuff) multiplayer and have different plots to name some differences.
they are clones of each other, there is no originality within that genre. they are all essentially the same game.
the problem is that the target audience(teens) do not generally care about originality, so devs dont bother as its a waste of time and resources.
Yes when I played the separate game’s at close evaluation they were thery similar but battlefield had that piloting scene that was very close to being like blackopp’s games do rip each other off but fan’s would just say it was “inspired by” the other game it’s your view ;)-Tollo79
I recall reading that BF3 has better single player mode (better story), while MW3 had better Multiplayer (I could be wrong and it may be the other way around), but like most of you guys, I am also just as tired of seeing these games over and over. I do play some FPS before (was quite the Counterstriker back in my day), but if that’s the only game genre… whatever happened to good RPGs and RTS?

I kind of like the shredder as well, I often just throw stuffs into the air (when I am near the top of the map) and it usually kills off a lot of enemies (good damage, and making them drop on their heads makes for more dmg), somewhat useful on the last alien mission as it means not having to directly be in the enemy’s LOS (and therefore preventing a rocket to your face).

Backyard monsters badged?
Originally posted by joppelarius:
To be honest, I was pretty pissed too about the waves of crappy, unoriginal MMOs to get badged recently. But at least BYM is a bit original. Plus the medium badge takes about 5 minutes to earn. I’ve given up o complaining, it won’t change their minds, I’m happy they also badge fun little games like Mushroom Madness 3.
The irony as even the badge suggested to go for monsters which would require over 6 hrs tops to get, to which if you have enough resources (which you would), you can destroy and obtain the amount after 1-2 waves of attack (mostly assuming that your 1st attack failed, but destroyed most of the defenses)

Backyard monsters badged?

Looking at the fan base, I’d be more concerned about Bible Fight getting badged than Backyard Monsters. Even then, BYM is full of unnecessary drama and competition just like Tyrant. So I, personally, see nothing new.
There’s a reason I played Tyrant before the drama wave hit. There’s a reason I don’t play it any longer. There’s a reason I’ll probably never play BYM. I don’t want or need drama.
You’re not the only one, but I did quit just as the expansion came out over a month ago, and I had to survive having to face those cookie-cutter builds while being unable to make the tournament work my way (lag + cheap tactics/bad cards for random), I mostly stayed due to being an officer of a faction.

Necronator 2

Do you have mages + attack/ speed, life/ defence, money and food upgrades maxed out? Because that’s all I needed for every level (except the ones where you are forced to use some of the other units/ spells). And I was far away from having trouble anywhere. On the other hand… I didn’t try neither medium nor hard on the last level and never had to fight 2 heroes at the same time… always only one after the other. And one hero can’t bring all of your mages down.
Maybe some armored units as tanks might help? Another tip (from the AG forum) would be the freeze spell which will give you some time to get rid of one hero. You might also want to group your mages. This way you will lose less mages to towers.
Edit: Just tried medium on the final level. Build three mages. Let them get to the mercenary building (the one you have to conquer in the north, not the elf one in the northwest). Mass spam spear mercenaries and a few grenadiers. This should be enough to get rid of the first hero. Get some money and spam mages. They will take care of the second hero. After that switch back to mercenary recruiting because they are not so far away from the enemy castle. Once again I had to fight only one hero at a time and three heroes in total and to call it a “fight” would be an overstatement.
And the same strategy works for the hard battle. Spam mostly merceneries (first spear and grenadiers and later knights and grenadiers). From time to time you will have to get some mages so the enemy won’t flank you through the south but in the end he is completely chanceless. Again three heroes who died very quickly.
I maxed those, but it’s how hard they have to be grouped together that makes them die too quickly, often they stop too late and they get too close to the enemy. I’ll try your strategy later, sounds solid.
Oh, and I’m trying to use Grenadiers mixed with mages, they’re quite nice, a bit more armored, but attacks slower (though they have splash damage).

Proffesional Critics are too soft.
That’s the big difference between games like GTA & Bully against those that is designed for “dance-like” coordination fights like Batman. I seem to recall that Arkham Asylum was supposed to have a DDR/Guitar Hero style battle with all the button press so it will really feel choreographed.
Besides, apart from the “unrealistic approach” of the regular mooks. Technically and comic lore, Batman and Catwoman would be on levels above the usual enemies and would be capable enough to avoid, dodge or counter those that would try to pin them down. It’s just that it’s not very Batman-like if enemies will take you down that easily. It’s the same issue with regular mooks trying to shoot at Superman, it just won’t work. Oh, and “Skilled” comic-book heroes tend to have a trick called “Offhand Backhand” the one where Batman would knock an opponent with a backhand trying to attack him from behind, without looking back. So, that can explain why they rarely attack him from behind.
Anyway to prove my point on Batman’s perspective, here’s an excerpt from Cracked.com, where Batman is the patron saint of the site:
When I said that the fist-fighting in Arkham City was easy, even if you’re terrible at it, that doesn’t mean the game lacks for challenge. It just means that some poor bastard brought a fist to a Batman fight.

Yep, found it with Ctrl+F %) Kongregate design is not working well on my browser.
I found all the hidden things and now I have only one question about the game.
I found bullwhip, rope, rattlesnake, barbed wire, tow chain, meteor, fly trap and nine tails. Where can I find missed 9th whip weapon? I searched everywhere killing every enemigo but didn’t see anything new x__x
Where can I find the rope?
In the second game, ropes are only available in Calavera Ruins, the twelfth and last area and there, they are also a part of the challenge “Cheat The Hangmen” (defeating 10 Hangmen Enemigos using a Rope.
I’m sure it’s 9 (3 for each area)

I forgot where I got the 3 enemigos, but I think it was between 3-4, I got lucky and had 3-5 enemies nearby so they stacked on one another.
And best stages would be those with “hideout” stages, the 1st mine level (I think that’s lvl 5), and the jungle level (12 I believe). More enemies = more opportunities to stratofy them.

As far as I can tell, there’s exactly one person on level 1 who drops daggers.
I think it’s 2, but the other who drops it is the “Practice” one, so you can’t reach it (I think), otherwise, best to just purchase the daggers so you can practice them on your own time.

Are you sure? As I think you can teach them pretty much all the skills, it is just that you can see 3 icons, that is all.
Yeah, it’s possible to learn more than 3 skills, it’s just that the top 3 becomes the most prominent.

One thing I don’t like is the scientist lab. Once you upgraded everything, you can’t change it into anything such as a farm.
Also, I noticed that space is extremely limited, only getting around 2-4 living space depending on the building.

Rebuild vs. Rebuild 2
There’s the Crazy Doctor for the Zombie Cure, the Helicopter escape, the constitutional draft, Last Stand for Last Judgement, I got these 4, but I think the love caravan (when there’s a request to give up one of your women) may be a prerequisite to an ending (I keep saying no to this, so I am not sure yet), not too sure about the cult part. Also, as I don’t see the evil graveyard, that means that the horde can never be stopped?
Also, OP forgot to note that skills are no longer class dependent but they do help determine the survivor’s initial avatar (a survivor with a basic soldier pt will be wearing army gear, leaders = business suit, etc), and skills already have levels (higher pt = better at said skill), and each survivor can learn up to 3 skills. This means, your main character can be a leader, soldier and builder at the same time.
