Topic: Tyrant / [GUIDE] Decks to farm Hostile Negotiation Event (May 2013)

I seem to be having good luck on HS1 using draco, 5 aegis’s, 2 rigs*, nimbus, raksha, and villion (1/9/3 imp R from worldship with stun, jam, and weak all 1; feel the need to clarify this since I doubt you would have known if I just named it). Yes, this is only used because I don’t have more than 2 upgraded rigs and am relatively poor, but 5 wins out of 5 matches so far.

Concerning Xellerus, I read on another thread (forget what it was) that the reason the devs haven’t created any commanders with armoured is because something in the code kept it from working right.

Topic: Tyrant / Dream decks.

I would say I still like using draco/ogre spam myself, but I think it should be noted that I don’t really do the multiplayer portions of the games (besides getting to bronze rank in the arena before getting scared off by the requirements just to reach silver), at mission 161 in the campaign (AKA mid phobos arc), and was helped by draco being a reward in the last event.

Same here. The real problem is that after fending off an infected attack on my compound, I have no way to see how much XP all my survivors received from it.

If it’s the EECP ad, I think the problem is the ad itself. That one’s worse than spam, in my opinion. At least spam can be ignored.

Last I checked, it said leaders had no specs, but were useful in fighting due to the fact that they are guaranteed to be highest level and will be able to use the cool new shiny gear first.

Check the last sentence of the header paragraph for the page on leaders. It says “They can gain skills with XP and are specialized with all types of weapons.”

Even though this is currently incomplete, so far I feel this is pretty good. I just want to add a few things. First, despite the game not giving any direct evidence that this is the case, according to the wiki leaders are effectively specialized with all weapons. Due to this, I’ve chosen to make my leader fast-moving while using high-DPS weapons to quickly bring heavy firepower where it’s needed. Second, looking at the various improvised weapons, I feel that few of them have good enough stats to justify using over weapons of similar level that you’ll find normally. The only improvised gun that I feel is worthwhile would be Marion’s Trident, and engineers being pretty lackluster beyond their improvised specialization means they probably should be reworked entirely (or that improvised weapons should be given an all-around buff).

Topic: The Last Stand: Dead Zone / Deathmobile upgrade still possible?

Staying off the whole topic of whether or not one should get it, I don’t think this upgrade sounds that OP. Sure, a quick look at the map shows missions that take up 3 hours and 10 minutes to return from, but you still have to pay for ammo. You can only store a maximum of 1100 ammo at once (3 full max level ammo stores and 2 full max level ammo drop-offs), the missions you’ll benefit most from this upgrade are high-level ones, and some good guns you’ll likely want to bring on those missions can have an ammo cost of 100+ each.

For the list of things being done, there should be the option to change how things on it are ordered. IE: from least to most time remaining, or by when each task was started.

Thearchangelmg: I checked the wiki and it says yes! When under attack you can click on a gate to open/close it and set it’s default state when it’s calm at your compound.

I have a similar problem, but instead I have all my survivors boxed in by barricades to keep zombies from just going around said barricades and have 2 idle zombies in places where I can’t shoot them due to intervening walls. I can’t send out survivors to take care of them because they can’t get past the barricades, so what can I do?

I wouldn’t count out the new set due to it’s cost just yet: when I made my pack I was very happy with what I got. Of note was the card “Witch Nail,” a common (one of 8, so there’s a pretty fair chance of any occupation pack having it at the moment) xeno that is 4/7(4) with leech 4 and siege 3, which I find very useful, if a bit slow. Mind you, I consider myself not that skilled a player and my xeno deck mainly relies on a combo of mothership+warp sculptor to win, so I mainly like it as a good meatshield while waiting for those and a source of siege.

Topic: Epic War Saga / Level Tweak Balancing ( Important!!! )

Applying my knowledge as a calc student, I worked out that the XP one needed to reach level X from level 0, 0 XP, can be modeled by the formula 25X^2 (that’s squared, I don’t know how to type exponents)-25. Using this, I found that to reach level 1000, you need to earn 24999975 XP! This is clearly insane, ludicrous, outrageous, and a flat out practical impossibility. Either change the levels you get new abilities and achievements, or change the leveling rate back.
