The truth is, those numbers probably have nothing to do with the active community. I would guess that the vast majority of users just play games and don’t chat/browse the forums. (Can I get a confirmation on that? I’m curious to see the statistic between the amount of active users and the amount who participate in chat or post on a regular basis.)

Most people come on Kongregate to just play the games. The forums are kind of hidden. The chat rooms are open but some people may not be able to navigate them easy that is maybe the most common reason.

That is because they do not count the Guests online anymore.

Oh, I see. So, Chat rooms have less people in them because the update made them have to manually select them and secondly, the counting at the top of the home screen only counts actual members not guests online.

Now I don’t feel like the only person who thinks there are less people. Even though most people do have many good reason for why there isn’t so many people or why there is a lot of people.

Well, I’m pretty sure there is much more traffic on Kongregate during the summer than a regular school day.

I remember a few months back that a lot of people were on Kongregate. There were a lot of people in the chat rooms (100+). Now, A lot of the chat rooms have less than 80. Maybe it’s because it is a school day but, not sure if that is the case.
