This is the equivalent of adding a waffle iron to my dick. In theory it sounds like a good idea, but in the end it does more harm than good. You had a design that did what it was designed to do perfectly and you went ahead and threw all that shit out for the sake of being more like Facebook. Newsflash, nobody fucking likes the Facebook timeline.

Stop fixing things that don’t need to be fixed, the new profile is horribly designed and clunky. Throwing features and features onto a page doesn’t make it any better, it’s nice I can see all this new shit but I can’t even see the full profile without having to click on “More about me”? And don’t get me started on the feed. Why would I want people to know who I’m leaving shouts to and what I’m saying on them?

Edit: Kudos on the bigger avatar though, I like that. And the fact that they changed it back to Friends followed and Fans following.

Sadly, it’s exactly this type of behaviour that is in a way being promoted with this update. I add people because I enjoy their company and talking to them, not because they’re the owners of Kongregate or Greg. This update is stupid and pointless, sure if there was something to be gained from following someone other than being able to see where they are at all times I might be okay with this update. However, the bottom line is that they basically just changed it to be more akin to social networking sites like Facebook and Twitter. Stay classy, Kong.

If Gamestop has given Kongregate the funds to reach out to more gamers and provide the existing users with the best of the best, then why does K+ exist? Before Kongregate was sold to Gamestop there wasn’t any need for a subscription service, and now that they have more funding there is? Just adding my rant to this thread, don’t mind me.

I don’t think this is the right way to go about making people engage in social aspects of the site and making the community even stronger. If I add someone back then it’s because I enjoy talking to them and I see them as a friend, not as a “connection”. Sure, it’s just a change in words but the two things mean something completely different. For example, in real life a friend would be someone that I talk to often and generally enjoy their company. A connection on the other hand would be like the guy who sells you dope down the alleyway by 5th Avenue. This is just my take on it anyway, I’m not sure how everyone feels in general about this change but I guess I’ll wait it out and see what else you guys have in mind when making Kong more “awesome”.

My job is so freaking unbelievable. I’ll try to sum it up by first telling you about the folks I work with :

First, there is this supermodel wanna-be chick. Yeah, okay, she is pretty hot, but **** is she completely useless. The girl is constantly fixing her hair or putting on makeup. She is extremely self-centered and has never once considered the needs or wants of anyone but herself. She is as dumb as a box of rocks, and I still find it surprising that she has enough brain power to continue to breathe.

The next chick is completely the opposite. She might even be one of the smartest people on the planet. Her career opportunities are endless, and yet she is here with us. She is a zero on a scale of 1 to 10. I’m not sure she even showers, much less shaves her ”womanly” parts. I think she might be a lesbian, because every time we drive by the hardware store, she moans like a cat in the heat.

But the jewel of the crowd has got to be the freaking stoner. And this guy is more than just your average pothead. In fact, he is baked before he comes to work, during work, and I’m sure after work. He probably hasn’t been sober anytime in the last ten years, and he’s 22. He dresses like a beatnick throwback from the 1960′s, and to make things worse, he brings his enormous dog to work. Every freaking day I have to look at this huge Great Dane walk around half-stoned from the second-hand smoke. Hell, sometimes I even think it’s trying to talk with its constant bellowing. Also, both of them are constantly hungry, requiring multiple stops to McDonalds and Burger King, every single day.

Anyway, I drive these f-tards around in my van and we solve mysteries and stuff.
