[Cursed Treasure: Don't Touch My Gems!] Is this a good game?
It’s good except the difficulty scale goes from easy to impossible very swiftly. The enemies abilities change and get better and yet you’re stuck with stock towers. Granted, you can upgrade the towers but it takes a long time to get the abilities that really make the towers able to stack up to the later levels and their intensely frustrating waves. The problem is not really with all the new enemies, but simply that the Ninja is so incredibly overpowered. My Crypts and Temples are absolute death dealers at my current level – but ninjas are immune to all logic, tactics, and you just have to rely on having a Meteor spell ready – which totally defeats the purpose of leveling any of the other ‘schools’ of towers.
If this game wanted to be a true TD juggernaut it would need to have a counter to each class of enemy available and stop relying on cheap ‘zerg rush’ style waves to increase the difficulty. Desktop TD is a much more solid and rounded out title.
