Topic: Ninja Warz / Kredder Vs Non

This is silly. Separating paying and non-paying players would remove most incentive for people to spend money. I know you children think that games are all about your fun, but they’re not. They’re about making money, or at least receiving recompense for the time you put into creating a game. Get over it. Nobody is forcing you to play the game. If you find no enjoyment in it, go elsewhere. The world does not revolve around you.

I mean all that in the nicest way possible. You people just need to get a better grasp of reality.

That seems rather curious. Are you sure you weren’t kicked because you had no money to pay the daily guild fee?

@Gaminic, what exactly is the margin for not haggling? Something like more than -35% if buying=should haggle, and under -35% (I.E. -20, etc) you should just accept it?

Hope you don’t mind if I answer this. xD It depends a lot on how many skill points you have invested in the skill which affects suggestion and haggling. (I heard each point increases the success rate by 1%, and from my experience that seems to be accurate.) And also on your furniture upgrades, as some of those also increase your haggling success. The success rate doesn’t rely solely on the percentage difference either. It varies between customers and items. It’s really just a matter of trial and error, but the percentages you suggest are fairly reasonable as a starting point.

@Purplekjw, what if I don’t have a dagger and I don’t have other kinds of daggers? That would be hard. SRSLY.

Nah, you suggest other items that that particular customer is interested in. The success chance is lower, but the only thing you need to worry about is making a profit. Making a profit isn’t difficult. Make a profit, and you’ll eventually be able to make all those items that your customers are specifically asking for.

A lot of good advice has been posted in this thread. We’ve all managed to get along just fine, and I know I for one have enjoyed the game thus far. If you’re not enjoying it, I suggest you play something else that you do enjoy. :)

Yeah, I agree the game is hard. You can’t even haggle correctly, they all take it as a ‘no’. Wtf?

As for haggling, the further below the market price, the more chance of success. Haggling every transaction is not a smart move. The game isn’t necessarily hard, you just have to learn how to make the best of each transaction.

Well the main thing you learn is to suggest items that each customer likes. Depending on their appearance, they have set types of items that they’ll purchase. You probably noticed the option to “suggest item.” Now, if someone asks for a dagger, but you don’t have that dagger, try offering them a different dagger. Even if that customer is willing to purchase a sword or a hat, suggesting an item in the same category they’re asking for will greatly increase the chances of success.

Topic: Swords & Potions / The best shop skill for starters is ?

Carpenter or Tailor, in my opinion. They’re necessary for the quests, and the quests have pretty large payouts which can be pretty helpful, especially in getting the remaining workshops. Sorceress may make items that can be suggested to anyone, but the success rate is pretty low. Both Carpenter and Tailor can make items that appeal to various specific NPCs, therefore you can still get high sales, but you have a higher success rate. (If they ask for a hat, and you offer a similar kind of hat, the success rate is higher than if you offer an item of a different category.)

Topic: General Gaming / [Cursed Treasure: Don't Touch My Gems!] There are many similar Threads on Kong., But why is this game number 1!?!?!

You seem pretty immature, to be honest. I don’t agree that this is the best game on Kong, but most people on Kong don’t rate a game properly. In fact, a lot of people only rate 5 and 1. 5 if they liked it, and 1 if they didn’t. I occasionally rate games highly even if I didn’t have fun playing them, because not every game is my cup of tea, but that doesn’t necessarily mean it’s a bad game. You have to take into account the art style, the music, the layout and ease of use, the controls, the gameplay possibilities (such as customization, multiple endings, open-endedness, achievements) and so on. Not just “This game rules.” or “This game sucks.”

Don’t blame Kong, or the game, or the developer of the game. Blame the people who vote. Perhaps a voting system that asks people to rate different aspects of the game would be better, but also a very unreasonable request. Besides, most Kong users would still be too immature to use it correctly.

So… Short version, suck it up and stop complaining. :p

Topic: Kongregate Multiplayer Games / [Heroes of Gaia] Suggestions

Private chat should merge with Guild chat. I dislike general, and spend most of my time in Guild chat, but this causes me to miss private messages when I get them. I’m sure I’m the only person who has this problem. They some should go for System Alerts.

I think their should definitely be some kind of tax on resource exchange. As things are, it’s pretty ridiculous. It totally defeats the purpose of having 4 different resources. (I say 4 because you can’t exchange gold for the others) Basically, you only have one resource, since you can trade any amount of one for another at a fixed ratio, and back again.
