Double XP Comes Again!

Found out yesterday that double XP weekend will be back once again this upcoming weekend, along w/ Nuketown 24/7!
It was tweeted by 3arc’s community manager, Josh Olin:

“#CODBlackOps Double-XP will begin at approx. 10a PST on Friday, March 4th. It ends the same time Monday. All Platforms.”

X2 Porter’s Ray Gun and Lamentation are one of my favorites of the pack a punch guns.
Tip:Gersch Devices are great for reviving and Juggernog is always a 1st priority.

It was a very crappy, but addicting zombie game, and the main menu was in a house with a static tv. You were in first person, the background was blackish, the ground was brown, and zombies slowly to moderately walked their way toward you. You were in first person, and you unlocked more guns w attachments as you progressed in bigger waves. Examples of the guns was a shotgun, m16, mac11 (I believe), and the Skorpion as the last unlockable. When the zombies were right in your face, the game would end, and the game itself got impossible at level 8 or 9.
I played it on various websites but it was also on kong, and I just can’t seem to find it. Help would be appreciated!

Activision Officialy Announces Call of Duty Game in Fall 2011

Today, Activision-Blizzard carried out their fourth quarter earnings call, sharing their profitability with investors and plans for the future. As expected, Call of Duty was brought up many times as it is one of the publishers most prominent resources and they plan to support it in many ways over the coming days.

As expected, Activision announced a ‘blockbuster release’ for Call of Duty is scheduled for an Autumn release. While we are anticipating that the ‘blockbuster release’ can be translated to, ‘Modern Warfare 3’; we aren’t counting our chickens before they hatch. Judging by Modern Warfare 2 and Black Ops’ release schedule, we should expect more news on 2011’s Call of Duty in the coming two months or so.

One of the exciting new ventures that Activision spoke of was ‘Project Beachhead’, a way to support online content with in-game interaction. There were mentions of ‘a lot of services’ and many community elements being included. We’re unsure at this time the type of pricetag that will be associated with Project Beachhead, as Activision has plans for a big announcement at a later point this year.

We’re certainly excited to hear more about Project Beachhead and the new Call of Duty title, slated for a Fall release. What are your guys’ thoughts? We’d love to hear from you in the comments or over at the forum.

Yes, I am pre-ordering Battlefield 3 so hard quite soon, and I assure you that it will kick Lack Ops in the No-noes. Battlefield: Bad Company 2 made Modern Warfare 2 look worse than it already was, and the legacy shall continue >:)

Treyarch’s First Strike Code Giveaway

It turns out Treyarch celebrated SuperBowl XLV by giving out free codes of their latest Map Pack: First Strike on their Facebook wall.
They gave out one code everytime a touchdown was made by either the Steelers or Packers, but they made the giveaway quite interesting by leaving out one character of the code.

Agreed. They should add that playlist to the 360, and then decrease the frequence of Nuketown appearing

I think it’s only temporary, considering if treyarch felt sorry for ps3 players since they don’t have First Strike.

Black Ops Players for the PS3 Get New Playlist

Apprently, treyarch made a PS3 exclusive playlist called Nuketown 24/7
More about it can be found here .

I believe they made this to compensate the PS3 players for not having the map packs, and if this eventually comes to Xbox, it should be an expanded “Maps 24/7” playlist category.

I’d like to throw in some random thoughts on Black Ops for the moment if no one minds..:

- Good Job 3arc, First Strike didn’t fail. Honestly better than Stimulus from what I heard.
- I still can’t physically comprehend how flak jacket pro can basically give you immunity to explosions and fire, and yet it does not protect you from bullet damage at all. I’m not saying that Juggernaught should be applied to FJ, but at least make sense.
- Modblock fails
- Good job on the Ak74u……….I’m kidding, I’m not getting on that topic.
- Personally, too many snow maps for my taste.
- Double XP Weekend, woot, I can finally make up for some weeks being away from mah secksbox.
-Wondering when Black Ops: Zombies rolls in the app store.
- Berlin Wall floating cup? I’m starting to think that that was on purpose..

That’s a little bit of something for now..

Truthfully, I don’t see Black Ops getting any more variety than it already has, but that would be very enjoyable if it got Halo-ish playlist types for some extra zing and whatnot. :)

I can use the map pack, on a different account, split-screen with another, offline. The pack is tied to your X-Box, not your account.

I can’t explain the specifics, But I believe they took those precautions to prevent getting map packs for free, I could be wrong, though.
There still is license transferring, though :P

I don’t know why people constantly hold up these arguments, as their just as bad as the “ps3 is better than xbox” topics. They both have very unique traits which make them fantastic in their own way, so please don’t try to declare supremacy over the other, because it will lead to ignorant arguments that will see no compromise.
