Topic: Technical Support / Have to pay a subscription now?

Is Dragons of Atlantis a game on Kong? I can’t find it in searching for games on this site. If by “beta” game, you mean it is an actual “Beta Testers only” game on Kongregate, those are only available to K+ members (I can’t tell if you are one as your profile is private).

Maybe you can post a screen print of the actual message/error you are getting? When you do, please include the whole browser window, scrolled all the way up so we can see your profile bar and make the window large enough so that we can see below the game area.

If games in your playlist get removed from Kongregate, then they stay in your count by you can’t see them when you pull up your playlist. So you probably had 2 games in your playlist that have been removed from Kongregate.

Kong doesn’t control this, BOKU chooses what mobile options there is. Some countries have taxes and fees that don’t make it feasible to have them as an option. However you can try giving this feedback to BOKU.

Check you SPAM filter. You might also try to reset your password using your email address instead of your Kong account.

However, if you don’t know the password and don’t have access to the email address linked to the account, I don’t think you are going to be able to get access to the Kong account.

Let me see if I got this right:

  1. You had a problem with games crashing, and the fix that worked for you was to “use another PC”. This tells me that your problem was on your computer and not the website.
  2. You forgot your password

I fail to see how these are due to Kongregate.

Now, I can testify that the password reset functionality works fine. So I would confirm that you are logging onto the correct email. If you believe you are, try to reset your password using your email address instead of your Kongregate user name (in the user name section, put your email). If Kongregate has an account on file with that email, it will send a request there.

If you still can’t get the “forgot password” functionality to work, then you can try to email support@kongregate.com. The fact that you are still logged in on your computer that isn’t working should help (as you can also send a private message confirming ownership of the account). Maybe they can confirm the email address linked to the account.

If you think it is malware/adware, have you tried to scan for that? Spybot and MalwareBytes are both good and free options (if you are looking to just scan).

Does this happen on a different browser (if you are using Chrome now does it behave the same way on IE or Firefox for example)?

Are you running any extensions other than flash and unity? If so, try to disable them, restart your browser and try again.

You can also try to uninstall flash, close your browser and re-install flash from scratch.

Are you talking about a game on Kongregate? If so, which one (there are over 95 thousand of them on the site)?

I would contact the developer, or maybe post on the game’s forum if they have one (and if not, you can post in the comments section) which is located below the game itself.

I wasn’t aware you can close a google ad. Are you sure you don’t have some adware on your computer that is injecting ads onto the page? Can you post a screen shot of what you mean?

It sounds like you have kreds and want to use them to buy in game currency (GP in the Contract Wars game). This is usually done from within the game. You might have more success asking the players who play Contract Wars by posting in the Contract Wars Forum

Saved game files are located on your computer in the form of cookies. So if you got a new computer or deleted your cookies (or no longer allow cookies to be saved) you lost all progress on all of Kong’s stand-alone games.

If you can’t get new badges, is your plug green or red? If you have a red plug you aren’t getting connected to the Kong server well enough for badges to be awarded. Malware and extensions can interfere with this connection.

Check the FAQ at the top of this forum for more information in both your problems.

Ads are served by Google. Occasionally a few do get through their checks. I suggest that you read this post about how to report terrible ads so that something can be done about them. The post is a bit old, but the idea is the same. You don’t need Firebug anymore, most browsers you just skip directly to “right clicking and inspecting element”.
