Without any other data (such as a screen shot or other symptoms or if it is working in another browser or even what browser you are using), I would suggest that you uninstall your web browser and flash totally. Reboot, then reinstall both.

Topic: Technical Support / kong chat

If it works fine in FF but not in Chrome, then this points to something you are loading with Chrome or Chrome itself. My instance of Chrome is working just fine with Kong chat (so it isn’t an inherent problem with Chrome itself.

If you load incognito mode in Chrome, does it work then? Can you post a screen shot with your extensions/add-ons/plugins disabled (be sure to scroll all the way up so we can see your profile bar, and make sure that the screen is large enough that we can see below the game/chat area)?

One think that you might try is totally uninstalling Chrome, and then reinstalling from scratch (Flash too if you do not use Chrome’s Pepperflash).

Well, you obviously are signed in as Silencerww (if you were not signed in, you couldn’t post here).

If you mean that your profile bar is not showing up, I find that if I close the window I am in and open a new one, it usually fixes that issue.

I might suggest that you check the Contract Wars Forum for any in game issues (such as the game not loading). Is it possible that you were banned for multi-accounting? Are all 3 accounts that you can’t get into Kongregate accounts (ie you are not trying to get into a Facebook CW account on Kongregate right)?

Anyway, the game’s forum is a better place for this question.

If you would like your account banned, please send an email to support@kongregate.com (using the email address configured in the account). I am sure you can appreciate that Kong doesn’t accept ban requests from a different account that offers no way to validate that the user is the same.

Posting here will not result in any action taken.

While I don’t see any obvious signs of malware/adware on your screen shot (and the screen shot isn’t scrolled all the way up, which would have been better), I am going to suggest that you follow the following steps:

  1. Given Chrome works and FF doesn’t, try to uninstall Firefox completely. Uninstall Flash completely. Reboot. Now reinstall Firefox. Now reinstall Flash. Reboot again. Now start back up and see if the game works.
  2. If that doesn’t work, try a malware/adware scan. I am not expecting that you find anything, but it is a possibility. Spybot and Malwarebytes are good options, and free.
  3. It that doesn’t work can you please confirm that it is a black screen on Flash, Unity, and HTML5 games (use most any game for a Flash game, Game of Thrones Ascent for an HTML5 game, and anything in this list for Unity.

A screen shot would help more (one where you have your extensions disabled as requested).

If Chrome works fine, but firefox does not (and private mode of firefox doesn’t work either), that points to either an extension/add-on you ahve running, or maybe your Firefox or Flash instillation. It might also be a bit of malware/adware that you don’t see due to your adblock removing the viable sign of the malicious program.

Well, you are certainly logged into Kongregate or you would not be able to post here.

Since you can’t get into the developer’s Realm of the Mad God game servers after you are logged into Kongregate, you should contact the devs about this “in-game issue”. You can do that via a “report bug” link in the game tab to the right of the game area, or you can try to post in the game’s forum.

Before you do that, you should check your kred history to confirm that your purchase actually went through and was confirmed by the game in question.

There is quite alot of spam caught by Kong’s filters. That one you listed, is actually a common one that seems to get through alot though. I usually hide 2-3 of those every 2-3 days (Kong then cleans them up later, assuming they are flagged as spam and not as just a hidden post).

Most games like that (with kred purchases and a local save file) allow you to save off your progress externally (Clicker Hero’s is one that does this I believe). Unfortunately, there is no way that Kong can warn you as you clear your cookies (since that is not something done via the Kongregate interface).

If you message the devs, they might be able to provide you with a save file with the kred content that was purchased.

I should also point out that, in general, websites don’t want you to clear the cookies they create.

My guess is you cleared your cookies. That is how your game was saved. When you deleted them, you also deleted your progress on all games on Kong that do not use a developer server (ie most MMOs).

A few things…

  1. MarlonTheWarlorD is not a banned account on Kongregate. If you are referring to an in-game ban, you need to take that up with the developer(s) of the game you are playing (which I understand is Free Fall Tournament).
  2. The account you posted with, MarlonTheWarlorD, and said was banned was just created today. So I am not clear on how it has even had time to do anything to get banned.

As Tetsuo_Shima mentioned, Kongregate has not recently added any new ads, and does not use pop up ads during gameplay. My assumption is that you have some malware/adware on your computer that is injecting ads into the page. What I would recommend is doing 2 things:

  1. If you are running an ad blocker, turn it off and post a screen shot (make sure to scroll up all the way so we can see your profile bar, and make sure the window is large enough to see below the game area). We can then confirm if the ads you are having issues with are Kong ads or not.
  2. Run a malware/spyware/adware removal tool (such as SpyBot, Malwarebytes, or something similiar). These will not always remove adware though (since they tend to look more like a program you installed, similar to a Google Toolbar.
