You will need to ask the developers this question. But at worst, you can always make a new Kongregate user ID and play a whole new user.

You can earn free kreds. It is a feature that has been available for years. TrialPay will give you kreds for completing their offers. If you want to see what offers there are, go to the “buy kreds” section then select “free kreds”.

Topic: Technical Support / LCN Kong half loading

We need more data to help you with your problem.

  • What game is this for (Mob Wars: La Cosa Nostra?)? There are over 90,000 of them on Kongregate.
  • If this is an in game issue, have you posted it on the game’s forum (if it has one)? I do see that you said you contacted the developer about it.
  • What error are you getting? As you say a screen shot would be helpful. You will need to upload it to an image sharing server (like imgur) and then link to that image here (or see the “formatting help” to the right of the “reply to topic” box to see how to embed an image into your post).
  • What are you specifically trying to do when the error happens (load a game, install a game, make a post, etc)?
  • What steps have you already tried to troubleshoot or diagnose the issue? Have you read the FAQ stick’ed to the top of this forum?

If this is an issue inside one of the games of Kongregate (League of Angels maybe?), you need to contact the developer of that game. You can do this via the game’s forum (if it has one), the “report bug” link in the game tab to the right of the game window, or via the developer’s ticket system (if they have one).

If your email is messed up, then you should reset your email account password, then get into that. Then you can reset your kongrefate password via the “forgot password” functionality.

Well, the issue here is that the .exe you downloaded is maintained by the developer (not Kongregate). Has the issue been reported to the developer yet? You said that others have this same issue, have they already contacted the developer? If that .exe install program is not pulling the correct files (or specifying the correct location) then they have to correct that.

Sorry, it appears I won’t be able to help as much as I had hoped. I do apologize, this did seem like an issue where you had some malware/adware that was impeding your ability to play the game.

Well, something is certainly odd then. You don’t seem to be K+ yet you also don’t have the ad above the game. Every case where I have seen this has been because there is an ad blocker running. Are you absolutely sure that you don’t have one running? This is important because if an ad blocker is blocking that ad, it might also be blocking some other adware that is modifying the page in some way that you can’t see.

Let’s park that for now. From Jclor’s suggestion, to verify/reset your DNS settings:

  1. updating the DNS settings: https://developers.google.com/speed/public-dns/
  2. flush the dns: http://docs.cpanel.net/twiki/bin/view/AllDocumentation/ClearingBrowserCache
  3. restart your browser

I do have a question though. Exactly what have you done when you get this error? Did you click on the “Download Now” button? Or did you already download the .exe file and when you ran it, this error is what popped up? Or is it after some other step that you got this error?

You still have extensions/add-ons/plugins whatever enabled. At minimum, there is a ad blocker you have running. Please disable that and try again (Kongregate is not intended to work with ad blockers).

I do not see a second screen shot wiht the error there (just the one below):

So please do make sure you post another screen shot with your error displayed (or do them both in one if you can).

Yea that is the problem that the OP talks about in his first post that s/he is looking to have fixed/corrected (well, one of them). The others were a font change and need to double right click in DoD and Legacy of Thousands Suns; and loss of progress in Clicker Heros (and the fix for that last one is just to load their saved file… assuming they saved it).

Since the Tamer Saga 2 problem was the most significant (and one from the title), I wanted to focus on that one.

I just did the flash and java updates you mentioned (I just got the most recent version of both) and tried to load the game. It came up fine for me (I was going to maple town S7).

I also did not see anything unusual in your screen shot that might indicate you have some malware or something.

What happens if you try a different server (maybe S7)? I understand that your character might not be on that server, but wondering if it is a problem with the specific server you are selecting?

If that doesn’t work can you try to open the game(s) in a different browser to see if the issue exists there as well. I have seen issues with Opera and games lately. Maybe try Chrome (since that is what I am using now and it is working ok for me)?

If that is not the issue, I would suggest that you try to reinstall Opera, flash, and java (however this game doesn’t seem to use java). You might also try to use your middle mouse button to force a scroll up (or maybe select and highlight up to see if that forces a scroll up).

If going to another server (again, please try S7 since that is the one I was on) does resolve your issue, then I would suggest that you report this issue to the developer since it would seem it is a problem with that server specifically.

Sorry I can’t give more specific advice on this one. But I am hoping that either switching browsers or reinstalling things corrects this.

You are the one asking for help. We are trying to help you. As crazy as it seems, we have helped people in your situation before. We need the data we are requesting in order to help troubleshoot. What I am asking you do is not a difficult or time consuming thing. I can’t help you if you don’t provide me the data I am asking for.

I am not clear on why you are so hesitant to provide the screen shot I am asking for. It should only take you about 10 seconds if you have indeed done the things that you said you have done. The last full screen shot you posted clearly showed that something (likely malware or an extension or both) were modifying the page that Kongregate served up. It is not unreasonable to want to confirm that this is no longer happening before we look to other things. This is especially true since your download error is referencing the wrong location to get the .exe file.

I just tried to download the game and was able to get the .exe file as soon as I clicked on the game. So the problem is not on the developer’s server or Kongregate’s code. Noone else is complaining of a similar problem with this game. Occam’s Razor would suggest that the problem is on your side.

If you want my help, I need that screen shot I have been asking for. I won’t be posting again here until I see that. Feel free to tinker around or get other’s help if you are still unwilling to post the screen shot I requested.

Do NOT contact kreds@kongregate.com. That is the wrong thing to do.

If you did a TrialPay offer (on the free kred wall) and didn’t get your kreds, you should use the red “support” button in the upper right corner of the offer wall. Select the offer you have concerns about and follow the instructions. You will be asked to provide some data that is proof of your completion of the survey.

Also, do make sure your cookies are enabled and not being deleted. This is how TrialPay tracks your completion.

However, I should point out, that many people confuse the qualifying questionaire with the survey. Also sometimes they do not qualify for a survey but the survey company sends them to another site where they do qualify for a survey (in this case, you don’t get the kred reward for completing that survey).

Make sure to disable any extensions/add-ons/extensions (you can leave Flash running).

If that doesn’t resolve your issue, can you post a screen shot of one of these (maybe Tamer Saga 2)? Make sure to scroll all the way up so that we can see your profile bar and make the window large enough so that we can see below your game screen.

The last screen shot like this you posted had issues that you needed to fix (that I mentioned above). Like I have mentioned a few times, there are usually cluses there that point to the cause of problems.

I did read your second post. It said your plugins are up to date. I asked you to disable them. You didn’t which is why I asked you to do that again (and again) before posting another screen shot (a screen shot showing a very specific part of the browser window).

If I had to guess, I would say you are running an ad blocker, and this is masking the fact that you have some malware injecting ads into the page (and also screwing up the page itself). I believe this because you don’t have an ad above the game (even though you are not K+) and you also are missing your profile bar. This is why I wanted you to disable your ad ons and extensions, run a malware scan, and post a screen shot (as this would confirm or disprove my theory).

Don’t confuse bugs in a game with a bug in the site. Each developer owns and maintains their own game. Think of Kongregate as the “Youtube of games”. You don’t say that Youtube sucks if a few of the videos are of low quality. In the same way you can’t say that Kongregate sucks or has lots of bugs if some of the games on the site (especially those that are over 4-5 years old) no longer work right or have been abandoned by the developers.

Once you select the amount of kreds you want to buy, you click “Check out with PayPal” and a new window pops up taking you to PayPal. If this is not happening, that is your issue. I would make sure you are allowing pop up windows.

I just tried it and it works for me.

If it is a GameStop issue, then you should contact GameStop. If you have questions on a specific Kred purchase transaction, you can email kreds@kongregate.com (especially because GameStop owns Kongregate).

  • If that doesn’t work, post a screen shot of your browser window. Make sure it is scrolled all the way up so we can see your profile bar, and large enough so that we can see below the game screen. There is usually a clue here that indicates the case.

You don’t have all your extensions disabled. Please disable them all (you can leave flash). It looks like you at least have an ad blocker running. There ls also something that is blocking your profile bar from being displayed or loading (which may or may not be your ad blocker). Please disable any and all extensions you have (you can leave flash up) and try again.

I don’t have any problems with my save games persisting (even after years…. like games I played in 2009). I don’t have any problems with my badges not awarding (I used to, when I had an old and very outdated computer (which here means a 10 year old PC).

So I am forced to assume that the problem is on your computer or your behavior. Not saying you are doing something wrong, just that some config on your PC or something you are routinely doing is causing this. It might even be something really strange like some malware on your PC (I have seen stranger things).

Since this is your first post ever, I assume you have never asked for help with your problems. That is a shame as there are alot here that would have helped you. In fact, I see you made your account yesterday (the 14th), so (forgive me but) you couldn’t really have tried very hard to resolve the problems on your own.

Anyway, sorry you are leaving after so brief a time visiting. If you ever change your mind, we will be here.
