Edit: It seems to be only for mobile devices, and doesn’t apply to me anyhow.
I’m still curious about the expiry date of the offer though.

The notification I saw said it expired Feb 3. I just downloaded the game, played the tutorial, and got the kreds. So you should be good.

Well, the flash files are failing to load due to insecure response errors. It is conceivable that this could be due to the certificates not being valid. It seems that you aren’t able to game ratings json due to a 404 error (which I believe means that you couldn’t find or access the file at the specified location).

Please do let us know what you find out.

I believe that the OP is reporting the problem that:

  • It says s/he is connected to chat (green plug)
  • It shows him/her in chat alone

However:

  • There are really almost 100 people in the chat room
  • S/he does not see any of the chat activity

I have seen this problem reported a few times. I myself have had it happen to me while on my older computer. I was never able to understand or find the cause or a good solution. Sometimes restarting your browser worked to fix it, sometimes not. I had a theory that it was related to performance on your on computer, but I was never able to confirm this and it very well might not be the cause at all.

Correct. If you deleted them, unless you saved them somewhere else first, there is no reasonable way to get them back (you could pay a company to perform data recovery, but that is usually expensive and generally not for things like game save files).

It could be any number of reasons. I usually go to my Kongpanion page after I get the BotD to make sure I see the checkmark. Every BotD I have missed since Kongpanions came out has been because the BotD hasn’t registered when I already had the badge. This is why I started to check after each one I get.

I can confirm this. I also normally don’t see any ads, but it seems Kong is specifically letting these 2x Bonus Kred ads though starting yesterday (and I have both the Moderator K+ and the regular K+… so both are letting it through).

Normally, I would not mind ads that give me free kreds, but this one really isn’t worth it unless you buy alot of kreds at once. In any case, it pops up in the chat window, so there really isn’t a reason to also show it above the game too.

I expect that they did this because they got feedback from K+ users that they were upset about missing some free kred promotion that was shared through the ad space. However, like I said, you are putting it in the chat window too, and that should be enough.

Do I guess correctly that your page is unresponsive and so you looked at the error log of your browser, and those two scripts were throwing errors?

Also, the 1st script you gave seems to actually be the URL of the page itself (looks like you did a search on “Kongregate chat” in the “search games” box and selected the Kongregate Chat game). The second is a web page statistic tool that Kongregate uses (specifically it is there to help safeguard digital advertisers from fraud). What are the actual errors that these sources are flagging?

If you change browsers, does that help (to Chrome or IE for example)?

Do you notice it happening only when specific video ads are being played next to the comments section? If so, it might be these ads, as you suggest, that are causing the problem.

Your problem sounds like the .css file isn’t loading. Does this happen to other browsers as well? If you refresh, does it fix the problem?

If Cooldudee71 was your account at one point, it is now gone and you can’t get it back. That account wasn’t ‘hacked’. You gave away the password to stinod in hopes of getting some kreds for free or something. As kudamon says, that is against the ToS. For an official response on this, please read the FAQ that is stick’ed at the top of this forum.

Don’t share your password with anyone for any reason. That level 36 account probably took you a while to build up. Now it is gone.

Hu. You appear to be correct. It seems that they added an ad to the page since I got my K+. My apologies. That does seem to be a legit Kongregate ad.

In that case, if it is causing performance issues during gameplay (and you have already disabled all your extensions/add-ons/plugins/etc … except flash, you can leave that up… as these might be the cause of the problem), I would suggest that you report that ad via the instructions on how to report terrible ads so that Kongregate can actually fix them

This basically involves right clicking the ad and “inspecting element” to get some specific data to send to support@kongregate.com that Kongregate can use to have it removed from their pool of ads.

A quick search found this thread for me. It seems to be caused by posting more than 20 comments in a single day. Most people report that the error goes away on its own. Not sure if this information is current, but it is what I could find.

The only thing I can think of without looking at your browser’s error logs, is to run a malware scan (Malwarebytes and Spybot are both good options with a free version that does scanning). Remove anything they suggest and reboot.

That is not a Kongregate ad. You have some malware/adware that is injecting code onto the web page.

I would check your add/remove programs and remove anything that you don’t think should be there (check both the name and the publisher). Then download and install a malware removal tool (malwarebytes and spybot are both good options with a free version that does scanning). Remove anything they flag and reboot your PC.

Actually, that is exactly what Kongregate is saying. It is actually the 1st line of the section of the FAQ on “How can I retrieve a stolen account”.
