The price of Kreds has not changed since they were first created years ago. If they have gone up for you recently it is due to currency exchange or a fee from whatever method you use to pay for Kreds.

If you want your money to go further in games, that is feedback that you should deliver to the developers of the games you use kreds in. If the fees you pay from your payment method are too high, I would suggest using a credit card or PayPal. If your currency exchange rate make Kreds too expensive, I am not sure there is much that Kongregate can do about that, unfortunately.

Check the Developer FAQ for instructions on how to upload your games. If you’re uploading a WebGL build of a Unity 5 game, all you need to upload is a zip file containing your Release folder as well as the index.html file.

If you do not see your kreds on your kred history but do see that your transaction went thought via whatever method you used (credit card, PayPal, etc), then contact kreds@kongregate.com and they should be able to help you correct the issue.

This has been brought up now in 2 other topics, which have been locked for spam (and both of which you posted in). This is not a technical website issue, but an issue/concern with a specific user. The correct action would be to email support (which I gather has been done). Kong won’t share information about a private concern in a public forum anyway. The user is free to email again if they have not gotten a response (she/he should also check her/his deleted email folder and spam folder).

I am locking this thread. Also, I will continue to lock and mod any future threads on this same topic (flagging as spam). Feel free to contact me via PM if you have questions or concerns about this.

This is for MMO games (or at least games with kred purchases enabled). You can block a user rating until they finish your in game intro/tutorial. This has nothing to do with their Kongregate level.

For details, you can check the API area of the Developer Center. Look for the Initialized Statistic. Be aware however, that using this will exclude you for any weekly or monthly contests.

If your Kong account was banned you would not be able to post here. So it isn’t banned at the Kongregate level.

I am sure you will have to forgive Kong if they don’t disclose all their countermeasures they have implemented to prevent SPAM. Doing so will just make it easier for spammers to get more though.

Trust me, Kong is filtering out alot of them (my view shows me those that were actually created as a post and not automatically deleted, but still hidden as spam automatically).

Given the ban just happened today, I assume you sent these 4 emails all today. Just 1 email will do, and it sometimes takes a day or two for Kong to respond. Just be patient.

As for everyone else, I am glad that you support your friend, but spamming this thread with signs of support won’t help anything. The Kong admins have access to the chat logs and know who posted what and when. If there was a mistake, I am sure that they will review things and make it right. However, if there was a rule broken, they would be able to see it via the log.

The next step here is for the account owner to email Kong. That apparently has been done, so now we wait for Kong to respond.

It looks like you posted on your Kong wall from this account (replying to the very message put there by Kongregate about your ban). If you have further questions about it, I suggest that you email support@kongregate.com from the email account you have linked to A7XBR. They can give you more specifics there if you need them.

Posting in the technical support forum isn’t likely to get you any answers.

PS – Make sure to tell your friend that it is against the Kong ToS to account share (which would include letting your friend log in or post with your account).

CE law protects virtual content you own (such as a digital copy of a movie or song that you purchased, or maybe even a digital software download). What you purchased on Kongregate was not a virtual good, but instead you leased something that was worth no money and that you had no ownership of (a service and not a good). If you read the details of Kong’s Terms of Sale (and I expect also the Terms of Service of that game you played that was shut down), this will be clear.

Kong would not be able to stay in business if it returned all kreds spent on all games that have since been taken down. As I mentioned, the virtual games at this site are not expected to be around forever. I apologize that you feel that you should get a refund of kreds, but that would not be a correct assumption.

If you feel that you would like to continue this conversation more, I suggest that you email kreds@kongregate.com. However do not expect to hear a different answer/response than you got to this thread.

You can’t expect that the virtual game, hosted on this site will be around forever. Spending money/kreds on games hosted by Kongregate is very much like spending money to watch a movie at a movie theater. You spend some money and for a few hours get enjoyment from the entertainment provided by the movie. When the movie is over, you don’t expect to get your money back. Nor do you expect to receive store credit to pay for another movie.

Hopefully the money you spent on the game that is no longer supported or provided by the developers brought you happiness and enjoyment while you played. Hopefully you have some good memories of the times you played (much like you might have good memories of a movie that you watched at a theater).

They kreds you spent on the game Heroes of the Realm, prompted Kongregate to pay the developers of that game real money. Kongregate does not get that money back if the developers choose to shut down their game. Games shut down all the time. You were not spending money for a physical possession that you owned. You were paying money for a service that you used (and hopefully enjoyed). Like any service, it is not expected to continue forever.

Hopefully this makes what happened more clear for you. I also hope that you continue to get enjoyment from playing games on this site (most of which can be enjoyed without spending any money).

Just to add a bit to what SugarMoney said, when you purchased Kreds, you agreed to the Terms of Sale. It is this agreement that talks about how Kreds are not refundable, have no value, and all that stuff. Kongregate actually goes beyond what it needs to (per the Terms of Sale) by refunding kreds at all. As a general practice they refund kreds spent on a game within 1 month of it being shut down. They don’t have to refund any.

I hope this clarifies, and that you have fun playing the games on this site.

Are these MMO games or single player games? If single player games, my guess is your cookies were deleted (this is where your progress is saved). If it was MMO games, make sure you are logged into the correct Kong account and if that isn’t the issue you can send a message to the devs of the game(s).

  1. Kongregate support doesn’t support the Steam website.
  2. If you have an in game issue on the Kongregate site, you need to seek support from the game developer (either directly or via their Forum).

I see that you have already tried to contact the developer via the Adventure Capitalist Forum. This would be correct if you were playing the game on Kongregate (which you are not). Instead, I might suggest that you email the developer. If there is not an option to do so on the website you normally play on, you can try emailing Adventurecapitalist@hyperhippo.ca (I got this from the 1st post of the game’s but reports thread in that forum you posted on.

I guess I am confused. If you don’t have a user at the Kong site (you must since you are posting here), why are you trying to contact support? What is the issue you are trying to email about? That might help us understand what is going on. If you had a kred issue, maybe it was TrialPay you actually contacted. If you have a problem with a game, maybe what you did was to submit a bug report to a developer.

Topic: Technical Support / White Screen with Exclamation Point

Try to reinstall flash (and unity if you are trying to play a unity game). If that doesn’t work can you provide a few more specifics?

  • Are you running any extensions/addons/plugins?
  • What browser are you using? Does the same thing happen when you use a different browser?
  • Does the same thing happen when you use incognito/private browsing?
  • Is this happening to all games or one or some?
  • Can you please provide a screen shot (make sure to scroll all the way up so we can see your profile bar, and make the window large enough so that we can see blow the game area)?
