Topic: Clicker Heroes / Energize Explanation (and more!)

Nice stuff. It matches the numbers I’ve run. I find that 5 manual clicks per second is the point where energizing clickstorm gives the same results as energizing super clicks. I haven’t run any numbers on gold earnings though.

Topic: Clicker Heroes / Suggestions for next Update

-I don’t know what exploit the zero click damage if holding control or shift is intended to fix. Might I suggest actually fixing it properly so I can power level properly while a click storm is ongoing, instead of getting mocked for trying.
*edit: ok I just confirmed that the damage is still there, and came back to find that this is what the very next post says. It’s confusing though.

-Also a recent update has made kiss of death so expensive (in terms of level requirement) that by the time you get it it’s useless you already have heros that pull much more weight.
-Massively agree with Gtzk who said that you shouldn’t be able to use a skill twice if it doesn’t stack. So many people tried to use reload to double a skill and failed.
-Would like to request the somewhat game breaking upgrade of reducing time between you killing a monster and a new one spawning. currently it’s about .5 seconds. I do realize this could affect offline gold gain calculations, two achievements, ascention and advancement speeds, as one is something like 40 times stronger with all abilities active.

Personally I’m ok with the golden click change, though I don’t know how it plays for lower level players.

Scientific notation display mode for numbers. Not really a serious suggestion but it is kind of hard to keep all the prefixes strait, they get really obscure. Mostly I just think it’s funny that Scientific notation might be needed here.

A game with a clearly defined goal where once reached you can say you have ‘won’ or ‘finished’. Games without this tend to be sand box games where there are a lot of different things to do and you just experiment and raise your stats until you’ve seen everything or at least enough.

some basic examples of both are
games with a goal:
monopoly: goal is to bankrupt the other players.
risk:be the last army standing
mario finish the last level. and if your a completionist there are a lot of collectables and optionals but once you get them all it’s 100% clear.

sandbox:
the sims. see everything do everything but if you feel like a goal try to improve your income and furniture and sim skill level.
also any game my maxis pritty much.

other:
league of legends. win individual matches. this allows you to level up which allows you to win more matches. but the goal is to win matches. every time you win a match you can be said to have “won” though it’s worthy of note that you can never say you’ve finished the game only the match.

galaxys online:
1. farm to get money to get more money? which reminds me of property in dawn of the dragons. Though I think they finally found a reason for gold to exist.
2. complete instances.
3. complete quests.
4. beat down other players

The critical problem is that 2-4 seems to have little to no bearing on 1.
3 only has anything to do with anything early game when you haven’t got a big income stream.

2&4 can be said to be the goal of the game but the game does nothing to nudge you in this direction. also far from having #1 benefit from this building ships to do 2&4 makes #1 harder. basically the game design sucks.

There’s more to the game yes, but it has no core required quest line. The goals are all vague and extremely long term (beat all the instances and get all the buildings and upgrades). There’s no feeling of progress or point.

I don’t know who this borntolose fellow is but it sounds like as long as I have an open mind and perhaps a sense of humor his comments will be both amusing and educational.

There’s seriously no point. You can keep progressing as long as you keep increasing your resource gatherers. you don’t need to do anything else.
I also find it disturbing that current Christmas rewards for being online which can be gathered several times a day are more or less all better then lucky wheel and voucher collection which are also free and can only be done once each day.
The game gives nill satisfaction for anything and the only reason to play is because idle games are easy.
Off all the multi player games I’ve played I think only ninja was did less for me. Ceasary was a stupid peace of crap that I think was ultimately shut down for copyright infringement (if I recall correctly they where a 100% carbon copy of another game) to boot there was a security hole that a truck could be driven through. but at least armies where necessary for advancement in the game giving it a sense of purpose.

This seems a bit out of context. Source?

This is the only pertinent information I found regarding the incident:

Barack Obama

9/12/12 11:32 AM EDT

Since our founding, the United States has been a nation that respects all faiths. We reject all efforts to denigrate the religious beliefs of others. But there is absolutely no justification for this type of senseless violence. None. The world must stand together to unequivocally reject these brutal acts.

It seemed like a correctly worded statement that made clear violence wouldn’t be tolerated. Is it just me?

No it’s not. Viewing this as an apology is the most Islamophobic thing I’ve never heard. Lets keep it that way.
Edit: coming back to this statement later I have no idea why I said this.
Anyway watched jhco50’s link. It clearly is not an apology. It is a denunciation of the anti-Islamic film. And it absolutely isn’t addressed to the Taliban.

I understand your desire to see the president win. It is hard to know your man in the election could possibly lose, but this is what he is going to do.

All signs point to a very close election. I could say the same thing to do you. Except I honestly believe that Mitt has a chance to become president. I Don’t want him to. But I don’t think it would be the end of the world. Just bad.

He has left this country without any hope for the future, except of course more of the same thing we have had for the last four years. The current president has mishandled the economy of this country. The republican candidate offers the hope and change the democratic candidate promised when he first ran for office and didn’t deliver.

Nether the republican congress nor Obama have been able to make good on all of their promises. That doesn’t mean they didn’t try for the most part. And it’s great Mitt is offering hope and change except I’m not voting for a candidate offering science fiction.

The president didn’t take responsibility for the Libya terrorist attack, he let his Secretary of State take the blame. Hillary Clinton took the heat to protect the president. The president did blame a video for 14 days after the terrorist attack. He didn’t come out and call it a terror attack until the state department came out with the correct information. The president and secretary of state made a video (at the cost to the taxpayer of $70,000) apologizing to the Taliban for the video. This was an embarrassment to our country.

The most recent debate addresses most of these issues. Here are the facts since you didn’t watch or didn’t see what I saw:

Obama said
Secretary Clinton has done an extraordinary job. But she works for me. I’m the president and I’m always responsible, and that’s why nobody’s more interested in finding out exactly what happened than I do.

It’s also true that Hillary Has been drawing a lot of the blame to herself.
It’s true that for 14 days the president said that it was a spontaneous demonstration. It was also called terrorism on day one. There where a lot of demonstrations at that time which confused the exact reason for the attack.
debate quote:

CROWLEY: He — he did call it an act of terror. It did as well take — it did as well take two weeks or so for the whole idea there being a riot out there about this tape to come out. You are correct about that.

I’ve never herd of this apology video your talking about but assuming it exists:
Calling it an apology to the Taliban is wrong. It would be an apology to offended Muslims. Now that does include the Taliban, but the Taliban are seemingly offended by the fact that we are breathing, so the video was targeted at other offended Muslims I’d imagine. As to the supposed 70K price tag: I have no Idea if such an expense makes sense, or what budget(s) it came out of.

GDP is 7.8%! That’s great! now all we need is another typo stating that the unemployment is 1.5% and our economy is booming!

Ok so he gave away his inheritance when his father died. That doesn’t change the fact that he was born rich and got a lot of money from his dad when he was alive. Still I admit it’s impressive that by the time he father died he was rich enough that he didn’t want the inheritance. Anyway there’s no denying that Europe hates him. Maybe he doesn’t diverse it but Europe hates him.

Edit: it’s work noting that a lot of people who manage to get rich discard the idea of ‘enough’ if they even have it to begin with.

So if Romney changes his views on gay marriage or abortion in around 20 years, he’s called flip flopping yet if Obama does it in only 4 years, he has just “evolved.” Liberals and their semantics…

Liberals are so concerned with Romney flip flopping not mentioning the fact he is a job creator, lowered unemployment in Massachusetts, brought it from 50th in job creation to 28th in job creation, left a surplus, and his state had the best education in the nation. He also started a successful business, Bain Capital and ran the 2002 Salt Lake City Olympic games.

If you want to look at Obama’s record… Well then, scroll up.

Yeah except people keep (rightly) complaining that companies he owns a stake in outsourced jobs to China. Which took away jobs. He was also born rich which makes his economic accomplishments a lot less impressive. Your mention of the Olympics can’t help but remind me of how he’s a laughing stock in Europe.

Now that I’ve read through your post I understand your talking about lying. your proof that Obama lies? an example of flip-flopping. I’m not saying he’s 100% honest just that your example of him lying is no good.

you seem to be refering to Obama changing his stance on gay marriage. It wasn’t clear from context.
Oh my, just another of his long string of lies. My god Softest, I always thought you has some sense about you. I never thought you would stoop to the level of some of the other lefties.

The name calling might be a bit much.

By the way I think Romney has changed his position on just about everything. To my knowledge Obama has just changed his stance on this one thing.
For the record I googled list of Obama flip flops and got a list of broken promises. and then I googled list of mitt romney flip flops and got well a list of mitt Romney flip flops. Now for the record I know for a fact a lot of these are bullshit. Romney saying When I first heard of the Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell policy, I thought it sounded awfully silly. was said I think about four seconds before him saying but It’s worked well. But Without wasting a half hour of my time to actually check I’m going to say probably around five are legitimate flip flops. Poor Romney went from needing to be on the liberal side of things to get elected in Massachusetts to needing to be conservative to get the republican nomination to needing to be more middle of the road to get the presidency. As a result no one knows what he stands for any more.

I fail to see how a method which is unsafe for both the woman and the fetus is the preferred. It will happen with illegalised abortion, so why illegalise it?

Good thinking. We should also legalize meth and explosives too since keeping it illegal will just mean people acquire them in ways that are criminalized, excessively priced, and not safe. Hell, let’s legalize everything!

For the record, I’m in favor of keeping abortion legal, I just think the argument that it’ll happen anyways isn’t a very good one.

Depends, the argument is bad for meth but I think it’s a good enough one for marijuana.

Well, let me explain one of reasons I don’t want a socialist type of government (Obama), and let’s me honest, that is the direction our country is headed under Obama.

Obama can’t quit spending and I don’t think most of you understand how much he has borrowed and spent. If I made $14,000,000 dollars a year, to make a trillion dollars I would have to work 28,000 years. Now multiply that by 16. This is how much debt Obama has saddled us with. Do you honestly wonder why we conservatives, who stay within our budgets, don’t want him in office anymore?

That’s insane. I don’t think you understand how many people we have in this country. collectively we work many millions of man years per year. Running a scenario where a single person pays off a debt makes no sense. No, it makes more sense to say if you made X dollars a year the current USA debt is as though you had a mortgage worth Y dollars.

It’s the opposite. Deficit spending during a recession makes perfect sense. It’s when the economy is bad that people need social programs the most. Large deficit spending was done to help lift the united states out of the great depression and social programs where put in place. Don’t just claim the opposite of history without backing it up.
