GH and RB had the biggest impact for me because I knew squat about music before playing them.
As for just being plain ol GOOD i’d have to say probably tales of Symphonia and the world ends with you. I Love any good RPG story!=)

The DS has a lot of quality RPGs such as the world ends with you and the mario and luigi games. If you have a gamecube/wii I’d also recommend tales of symphonia and Fire emblem POR and RD

I think the console wars are retarted. Its just a bunch of people insulting each other over which system has the better games when everyone’s definition of “better” is different. A game I own was reviewed a 5.5 in a gaming magazine and it was 1 of my favorite games to play.

OK I know u said not short but Contra Rebirth (Wiiware) is pretty darn fun IMO. If you’re into puzzles, pick up Zack and Wiki. fairly challenging and decent length

Yeah, Asheras not very nice. Especially if you’re trying to keep everyone alive.
Cackletta’s soul in mario & luigi and the shadow queen in paper mario 2 are also pretty tough.
