Need Opinions and Testers for a 3D Game
Any amount will be helpful. You could just run around the map a little bit and see how your computer takes it. Nothing extensive.

Yeah I tried making it look nicer with lighting and some textures but that slowed it waaay down.
I will try and put some better looking colors in there though.

Need Opinions and Testers for a 3D Game
Hey everyone.
I am making a maze/exploration game in 3D. You don’t see too many of these, I guess, probably because Flash has a lot of limitations that complicate things. But I’ve gotten it to work and it’s like 80% done.

It would be great if I could get some beta testers. I could pm you a link within the next few days and you could help me out. Primarily I need to see how much it will lag on other people’s machines. And then, of course, if there are any remaining bugs.
So how interested are you in this type of game? Let me know if you want to test it.

Can I Get Some Game Testers?
…It’s for Multitask 2. Just volunteer here and I will hit you up with a pm that contains the game link. I would suggest not sharing the link though, I don’t want everyone to see it yet.
Once you have tested it, pm me the feedback. Thanks!

Alright thanks for the advice!
Well I have started on the game. Maybe 10% done with the whole thing. In a few weeks I will probably invite everyone who posted in this thread to beta test it. Thanks!

Without it though it has no shine. It’s just bleh. Maybe I’ll make it less obvious? I cant bring myself to get rid of it. Well anyways the picture isn’t exactly how the final will look.
Also, I looked at your art. Really nice. I’m sure this game won’t require any art skills, but I’ll keep in touch for later.

I played the beta version a while back. Like when I was 12. The beta version was really fun, but now the game just sucks. The ‘economy’ is unbalanced as hell and the cash shop gives unfair advantages.

Is it just me, or are four of those levels the same as the four in the original?
Yeah, four of them are the same, but I just made some of them look a little nicer. I’m trying to think of other minigames at the moment.

Their should be an impossible badge for reaching all 6 games.
Sadly, there can’t be an impossible badge since the game is somewhat exploitable (2 or more people playing at once).

Jiggmin IS working on PR3!!!
Well it seems like PR3 is the most anticipated game ever. More than Bloons 5 or Age of War 2 or anything else. I can’t wait.

In case somebody does achieve it. I’m not saying I could do it, but it is humanly possible.
It’s a challenge. If you get there, great, you’re awesome. If not, you know how many games maximum you can play at once. A lot of people did just fine with the 4 games in the first Multitask until difficulty was increased. Instead of increasing the difficulty, I am adding another game. Plus the games will be in random order so it’s not like you will miss out on anything.

First off, nobody is expected to reach 6 games! That’s just in place of the lame ‘the difficulty of already existing 4 games will increase’. It’s just something you can try to reach but probably won’t.
Also, I’m trying to think of other games than the ones pictured but I can’t find any that really work. Preferably, each of the games need to have 2 or 1 buttons for controls and they need to be different enough (not 2 avoiding games, jumping games, etc.)
As for the controls, they will be modifiable (and mouse click will be an option).
Finally, I like the mode ideas. I’m thinking of having a mode like the first game, then maybe one where the games move around and another where games swap out, which would be a bit like Grid-16. Not sure yet though. The modes would be unlockable too.
Thanks for the suggestions!

Score X points on Y mode to unlock Z mode
Yeah that’s what I’m thinking. I’ll try to balance the difficulty though.
One final thing, how’s a 6 game max like in the picture? I don’t think 1 person will be able to handle 6 games at once, and it might even be a challenge to 2 people (cheaters) playing at the same time.

Okay, thanks for the suggestions.
I think I will make different modes, all similar but with some differences to spice it up. I’ll probably make the modes unlockable, too, to add some incentive.
Also I guess people should be able to set the keys they want to use for each game?

Multitask 2
Hey guys. I haven’t made a game for a long time now, but since I’m on winter break I have some free time.
So basically I was wondering if anyone would be interested in Multitask 2. I don’t know if it would get badges, but I’m getting better with flash so I would be able to make an improvement from the first one.
Good idea or not?
Sketch I made for it:

Thanks guys!
Yeah I actually had been thinking, ‘Maybe I can pump out a Multitask 2 real quick’.
Unfortunately I have a bunch of school projects and tests hanging over my head so I’m making something else. Eventually I will make another Multitask though. With modes and stuff.

I’m going to make a game for it. Maybe shoot for 10th place unless some professionals come and crash the party.
Pity the runner-ups don’t get any gum though. I like gum.

Path guidelines?
Sorry Moly, I don’t completely understand that method.
I do, however, like the idea of using the dotted line. I tried it by making a small dot fly out of the cannon every frame exactly how the projectile would to create a line. It looks good if you just hold the cannon in one place. However, it’s awkward because every time you adjust the cannon, dots go flying in different directions. Am I doing it right?
I bet there’s an easy fix. I’ll keep working on it.

Path guidelines?
This question is for AS2.
Alright, so I’m trying to make path guidelines to show the player where he/she will be shooting in my game. The cannon fires fine, but I can’t get this damn line to display the path that each projectile will take. The player can move the cannon anywhere from horizontal to vertical (90 degree range). In the end it should look a little bit like this.

I made the cannon shoot using simple trigonometry (sin and cos to get the starting x and y velocity of projectiles) but I can’t figure out any way to get this line to follow that exact path (gravity is involved, which complicates it).
Anyways obviously I would have to create curved lines… So I guess that would mean using curveTo draw it in code, which I have tried. I can’t quite get it though. Maybe I’m just not smart enough. Does anyone have any suggestions?
Thanks!
