A server is alot of computers put together for the sole purpose of giving the site bandwidth (more bandwidth = less lag). And once you have the servers where the site is hosted, you use programming languages like ruby on rails and ajax to make the site itsself, just like others have said.

I don’t know if everything I’m saying is right, so please, someone who knows, take a crack at this

I don’t see what the big deal is, its just a game, games are submitted every day. Runescape was good, when i was 10, I don’t play anymore, and personally, I don’t like the game either. So I’m just not going to play it, there, simple.

as for the chats getting flooded, remember when sonny came out? The chats were flooded with all things sonny, but only for a few weeks, now you barely hear a thing about it. I suspect runescape will be the same…
