not technically a card, but the ability to save different decklists would be nice. or even just 1 main deck that you could return to at any time.

User Input says “more cards”. We’re building the systems to allow us to roll out more cards while supporting the core economy of the game. Changes to a live free-to-play game are inevitable. Some changes will be bigger than others. I’ll try to document these changes better in future patch notes.

yes, because I’m sure it was your core group of players that suggested tweaking evolution to make it basically impossible. uh huh.

There was some feedback that pointed to evolution being a bit too fast, and this got worse as we added additional ways to earn cards, gold and runes (side-missions, treasure chests, daily rewards). It’s a balancing game. We have some features that we’re working on that will give more card options, more fine-tuned evolution options, and more ways to earn cards, gold and runes.

I’ll actually agree that evolution was too fast before. I also definitely like the cost involved, but I would prefer an either/or option. Either pay 3600 gold (or whatever) OR 1 rune. There’s been a lot of gold added to the game, but I feel like runes shouldn’t be required to evolve cards.

I’ve been having the same energy bugs as everyone else, but wanted to bring something else to your attention.
This game gives you good rewards if you win (yay!) and a consolation prize if you lose (which is a wonderful, wonderful thing.) However, we get no reward whatsoever if we manage to accomplish the rare feat of a draw! Shouldn’t there be a draw reward halfway between the two? (or more than the win, if you’re going by difficulty to achieve :P)

another idea would be magic cards that typecast whichever monster is in play; turning a Red Dragon into a WATER type, for example.
Theoretically, these could be played on your monsters or your opponents. (although they should be separate cards for each)

You get 3-4 draft packs a week, 2 from SNC, 1 for day 7 and a chance for one on day 6.

snc 2 … you serious? if you lost you lost 1 … is a gamble

lol it’s not a gamble. 25% chance to gain two, 25% chance to gain 1, 25% chance to hold even, and 25% to lose one still has you coming out ahead. Especially since you still get a freebie every week.

A shapeshifter that changes elements to match its opponent would be cool (So it would always come down to a power matchup.)

Randomly discard one card from your hand. Then, choose any card from your deck and add it to your hand.

Few know that many of Dido Celwer Bloodwyn’s successes in battle came not from her sword, but from her telescope. It could see not only far-off objects, but could also see into the future, and thus allow the future to be changed…

This card is nowhere near legendary. It could work well with some cards, but it sucks compared to, say, Elyssa.

whoops, forgot a bit; should read “deck, graveyard, banish, or ranged graveyard”.

and if you have elyssa, it IS an elyssa.

Topic: Clash of the Dragons / Combination?

combination cards are cards that when you play them in a row, on successive turns, have some sort of cool effect. Once a non combination card is played, the combo is broken.

that being said, they are not currently in the game, much like recurring threats, which are cards whose effects activate after deplete, and remain in effect as long as that card is in the grave.

Since the successful threads don’t seem to be turning up much, I thought we’d put in what DOESN’T work in this thread.
2,3,4,5 copies of these:
Gut Breaker Draught
Heavenly Aura
Wizards Bane
Paxon
Queen Lena
Zaris
Teressa
Poltergeist
Vampiric Assault
5 Magic Lamp
5 Matthew the Wrangateur
5 Potion of slaying

5 of these rares
All or nothing
Ambush
Arrow of Attraction
Arrow of fate
Barbaric Assualt
Barrage
Blades of Glory
Brothers of the Blade
Burn the Dead
Calm Before the Storm
Darken the Sky
Let your shafts fly
Sacrafice
Spear of Destruction
Tactical Attack
Teucer’s Last Arrow
Theresites Step
Web of Death

One of each healing potion got nothing.

Equipments:
1xSent Cuirass+1x Pyro robes+1x Sin armor+1x Druid’s robes
1x Kasan Shield+ 1x Kasan Servant

Materials:
25 of the same material do not produce a new material.
the correct craft materials will produce the card, but you should just craft them anyway, as that will avoid generating Arcane Interference.

What should work but doesn’t:
5 Fireball, Frostbolt, Poison Cloud, Icy Mist or whatever they’re called do not upgrade to the Greater forms.

Add your failures (haha) to the list!

Why would they need to institute any limit to DC gain at all? Leveling still takes longer the more you go; DCs still gain value the higher level you’re at. If the prices need to be tweaked, they need to be tweaked — certainly not as ludicrously drastically as you suggest. Again: There’s still gold.

It all comes down to players experiencing content — you make it so that via DCs and gold, every player can experience everything they want to, but offer the option of buying it if you want it faster. That’s the point here — options. Right now, there are none, which is poor design.

Levelling wouldn’t take much longer if energy was removed, and (as WolfTheCheater just counted for us) is possible in ~20 minutes (since 1 energy bar is roughly equal to 1/2 an XP bar), less if you have a really strong deck.
given that every other level, you get a DC—
currently, 2 levels (max) per day without paying, will get you 1 DC per day.
40 minutes per 2 levels would get you 32 DCs per day.
That assumes constant playing, which is a little ridiculous. let’s assume 3 hours a day. that still gets you 4.33 DCs to the 1 that you got previously.
All shop prices would then have to be increased by 4.33x (so a draft pack, on sale, would cost ~65 DCs) to make you get DC content in the same amount of time that it would otherwise take. (if you got a draft pack every 3 days, fewer people would buy them, as they are now much more common)
The Proof? Gold packs. who buys those with DC when a cheaper option (gold) is available? Likewise, why would you buy DCs, when leveling exists? (and at Ludicrous speed, too!)

“An entire redesign” is a bit much. First, you can’t level unlimited times since there’s a cap. Second, if that’s even a problem (I’m not convinced it is, since the net gain on dcs stays the same, only over shorter time), just tweak shop prices. You still have gold for people who want to use it; you still have dcs for people who want to buy it.

Freemium isn’t a hard model to follow at all.

there’s a cap? what is it? I’ve never heard of a cap, that’s for sure….

And “the net gain on dcs stays the same, only over shorter time” means that over the same time, the net gain on dcs will increase, which will either A) mean that DCs will have to be removed on levelling (since more people would have more DCs, and a constant, neverending source)
B) Shop prices would need an exorbitant increase—something on the order of 10x the current amount, to reduce the rate of purchases, which would be a slap in the face to anyone who’s already bought DCs, and has them laying around (like any government that institutes inflation, the people will rebel, and the developers will cease to make money) Additionally, you’d now have people levelling and progressing through the story line without getting their DC rewards (in the form of drafts, expensive packs, promo cards, and the like) I’ve only cleared z4 and I, a free player, have already participated in 19 drafts. if the prices on draft packs increased accordingly, that number would be brought down to around 3, maybe four, which would, quite frankly, make this game a lot less fun.

Spending money to get extra things is fine. Maybe read the actual posts you’re arguing against — nobody is against cash shops. Cash shops are a great way to offer extra content to support the developers.

The energy system isn’t a cash shop; it’s a cash grab. There’s a difference. One is extra content that’s optional; the other is forced — you literally can not play this game for any length of time without paying money.

This model originally grew out of greed; it continues because people are so naive as to think that it’s necessary. It isn’t. The freemium model has proven successful time and time again — you don’t need to block players off from playing your game. That’s backwards.

except that levelling up gets you cash for the cash shop….removing the energy system would destroy that; with unlimited level-ups, you could have unlimited cash shop cash, and the developers would make 0 money. (except for the people too lazy to watch autopilot beat their enemies for them.)

you also need 3 draft packs, which are a little harder to get. best to just open the packs now and use the cards inside to get better. then draft later once you have the draft packs.
