half the game takes place on the server, the other half on your own computer— the server keeps track of what it thinks is going on with your character, and your computer handles the server’s info with javascript on your end. just about all of the javascript that takes care of updating what’s displayed on your screen checks for the presence of certain elements and replaces the contents of those elements if they’re found. it’s really not uncommon at all for a bit of lag on your connection, or a build-in delay to result in elements being present that were supposed to be removed, or elements that are supposed to be present not being detected for one reason or another. if you’ve ever gotten an error message in the game and your connection to the server hasn’t been lost, that’s probably what happened. so if you’re ever getting strange behavior like this, switching gear/class/ally (whatever’s bugging) to something else and back again will probably fix the issue, and it might be necessary to refresh the page first

confirmations aren’t warnings, they’re a buffer. with any repetitive task that includes confirmations, clearing the confirmation becomes part of the same single motion (click “sell”/press “x”). the fact that it’s a two stroke motion means that you have a chance to cancel in that split second between clicking “sell” on the wrong thing and realizing it a moment after, and hitting “x” out of habit. the only defense against accidentally selling something, short of introducing absolute tedium (like stacking confirmations), is being aware and developing good habits

what i’m kinda wondering is whether there’s any actual need, anything to be gained, or anything that a “black market” can offer that isn’t already a part of the game in some form. anything that can be vaulted can be transferred to any player in the game already, provided they meet the level requirements for the item. if it’s not charity then trust is involved, and in either case someone must move guilds—these are non-monetary costs that ensure the quality of a transaction without having to regulate something as quantifiable and relative as coin or gems. call me cynical or savvy, or maybe just cali, but i see this as a novelty at best, and most likely just the introduction of a whole new set of problems.

since the question was a bit ambiguous:

the best way to distribute your stats is to leave them alone, if the alternative is gemming a respec. even stats get the highest average LP gain per pill, and will produce a solid all-arounder chr build. most likely by the time it might be appropriate to respec, you’ll know enough about the game to decide for yourself how to distribute your character’s accumulated sum of LP without polling the DW community.

the best way in increase your stats is to town explore, assuming you can take down possessed bosses consistently. level 72 is the sweet spot for a character’s power vs coin income, and this has primarily to do with girl in red/imp drops and invasion chance drops. at level 72 you get the highest level (and most valuable) drops available from common sources.

i’d like to suggest adding a confirmation to exploring when you encounter “guardian of dreams” just like the one on puzzles. given the value of mystery boxes in the game, a little bit of a safety net on accidentally exploring past GoDs would be greatly appreciated. thanks!

i’m GM of ABC, a guild i’ve had since nov-dec of last year. i took it over as (i believe) a gold level guild somewhere in my clvl 50s. over the course of the christmas event i was grinding relics and selling greater star robes to build up enough coin to donate the remainder of the 10 bil required for platinum in one. the first time i remember checking our rank, it was in the 600s.
in the months to follow i resigned myself to the fact that i’d kept playing long after i got the kong badges, and i found that i was actually becoming pretty invested in the game and my little guild. i never had aspirations of competing for a top spot in any regard; i was more interested in cultivating a group of people that supported each other and who were happy with where they were.
my guild has never required anything of its members other than being active, and i’ve always kept restrictions and rules to a minimum. if people donated directly to the guild in any way, it was purely of their own volition.
as time advanced and ABC progressed, i’ve watched it slowly climb the ranks, and meanwhile develop a core crew of some really good people. we tend to be a pretty ragtag bunch of unapologetically outspoken smart-asses, and while i don’t always agree with what everyone says, i’d have it no other way. the most important thing is to have fun.
in that ABC has been around for a while and has several members who’ve been with us for months, we have managed to put together enough coin to get to Void 1. we’ve also gone from a completely anonymous low-level guild ranked somewhere in the 600s to a solid top 50, settling at around 32. we got where we got through our own hard work and we did it the old school way.
that being said, i always keep a couple slots available for intelligent, promising new players just starting the post-game, because i’d always rather have a good personality and someone who’s genuinely interested than a high stat/level player who doesn’t really care what guild he’s in.
obviously our guild level precludes us from qualifying according to your rules stated, but i write this in hopes that adhering to that point isn’t your primary focus. and regardless of the outcome and if for nothing else, i’d like to thank you for inspiring me to think and write about my guild like this.

The majority of times I see the word “troll” thrown around in chat, the term is being misused. I’m going to say it right up front: a “troll” is someone who tries to elicit an emotional response from others in chat purely for its inherent entertainment value. In other words, they try to get a rise out of you just for the hell of it. Someone who confidently disagrees with you is not necessarily a troll. Someone who is mean to you is not necessarily a troll. Someone who gives misinformation is not necessarily a troll. Someone who curses at you and tells you everything he did to your mama last night is not necessarily a troll.
The most defining characteristic of a “troll” is his motivation, not his behavior in itself. Without this most important distinction, one calling another person a “troll” would at once qualify himself as a “troll.” But since there is such a distinction, I urge you to think about the actual meaning of the word before pinning it on someone, else some of the things they might be saying about you are probably true.
