Level 20 gives you a free unit instead of gems. Check your characters. You should have a new one with an exclamation point above it showing it is new.

Topic: Chronicles of Herenvale / 4 star game!

Hopefully the server has already been beefed up or will be if we reach 4 stars again. That is why it was rated down so low. Everyone was getting database connection errors because of the amount of people playing at one time. It was not so much the games fault as that people could not play the game and that made a lot of people immediately give it 0 or 1 star.

Maybe in book 1 things get easy to buy but most items in book 2 cost around 100k gold.

Topic: Chronicles of Herenvale / New quest interface

Just a couple things at first glance. I am guessing the close button closes that view and should probably be replaced with the traditional X in the upper right corner. Second and more important I know the UI is very clean but it does not fit with the steam punk genre. You need to change the whole solid color concept to something broken up, and this includes the border. Good examples of this are on the home page for the news area and the features items title area. Also at the top of the UI the use of the gears could also be used to help the design.

One thing I just noticed but am not sure about is in the current version of the game you have what looks like repeating boxes on all the edges of the faded blue background. Check the home area for the best view. I do not know if these are intentional or what was accidentally put there because of the edge fade or part of the design.

Irispirate that is why I made the wanted the repeatable gold battle. It allowed those “no life loners” to play all day but not give them to much of an advantage.

I really like the game and after playing for over 10 days I believe I see very few things that could really use improvement. Now when I move on to the second area in the next few days, it could change my perception if that area does not follow the starting area model.

The first is the attribute system. Currently the ability to add energy and stamina as attributes makes them overall more important then the other attributes. It should be interesting to see players builds with the 4 combat attributes but very few seem to use them. This could be fixed my removing the option to upgrade these attributes when you level up. If this was done I would also up the amount of energy and stamina you gain per level. Personally I believe adding 2 more energy per level and 1 more stamina per level should give people enough to play with.

The second part of the game that needs a rework currently does not exist. The game needs something to do that does not cost energy or stamina so that players are not bored between waiting for more. My rework for this would be a new battle type that does use either attribute. It would not cost anything to join and just have a list of players that you can attack, like the current main battle page. This battle section would not effect win streaks. Also the arena would not award any xp. For each win in this battle area if the attacking player wins they would receive 5 gold and if the attacking player loses 1 gold. This gives the player something to do while not having a large effect on the game.

The next two suggestions are not as important to me in the aspect of improvements of the game, but just ideas I had to maybe balance a player’s choice of doing battles, raids, or quests, letting them chose to take only the path they like.

First at the end of each numbered area, you can currently see 1-11, I would suggest that each player get a chest drop. This gives people focusing on quests a chance to get cool equipment, but not making it overly common.

The second idea would be to change the current arenas to reward chests as well but on a scale. Give the 3 people who finish first the rewards that scale by place. Also make different costing arenas where for example the current 2500 gold only gets you a chance to loot a rare item in first place, while a 40k gold arena would give the first place person a small chance to loot a piece of Heroic gear.

Topic: Chronicles of Herenvale / Lost Ally Requests?

I have sent Ally requests to a lot of people and I was wondering if they had become lost or if ones sent to me have become lost. The messages page says it stores messages from the last 30 days but I can only see the most recent 25. What happens when an Ally request goes past the most recent 25? (This is easily possiable from one person repeat attacking.) I do not know where I could claim it. Is it possiable to add a link on the allies page that shows those requesting to be your Ally.

On a side note I believe the game has a lot of potential. You might also want it to explain in game that each ally needs a weapon in your inventory to be effective.
