hello all =D I still only have macromedia flash mx and its served me well but I cant even upgrade it now through the website or anything , so I’m curious. would it be worth it for me to upgrade to actionscript 3.0 ? what benifits does it have over 2.0

well I’m gonna send an email….no big loss though it took all about 5 minutes to make and I made it so I wouldent have to wait for a lot to load before going into the kongregate chat channels

I’m pretty sure I made my game a kongregate exclusive when I first put it on here so long ago and….seems I’ve found it on another site I typed Phail cookie into google to see if it was still the top result and it was also the third with a different url….I clicked it and sure enough it was the same game did …..do I get some kinda reward for pointing this out ?

Hellos O.o I’m waiting to get my Flash MX 2004 in the mail ( ebay )….anyway a buddy of mine payed for it for me so I’m gonna be makeing a game for him in return and I gotta ask its an rpg so

how would I set up the random fights that are seen in most rpgs?

I’ve thought of setting up a timer so once the timer hits zero and if you hit the move buttons a fight starts but I’m not sure if that would work….. and how would I set up a grid system for a number of steps type thing if I wanted to go that rout…. dont have my flash yet so I cant try anything just umm…O.o try to be nice while answering

well the < and the > where to seperate the as from the rest of the box and it was as2 I’m working with…..and I was just thinking of tweeking that code I came up with was for a timer system ( or step system with a bit of tweeking ) for random fights in an rpg just curious if I’m right

well its the cheapest I found and yeah checked it out I knows about da AS2 =3 thats the main reasion I picked that little package and so far as I learn the actionscript I should be able to get it done as easily as I would with as3 right ? besides worst case senario I can just download FlashDevelop to debug the scripting and stuffs
