Task managers on Android are bad, stupid, and pointless. The Android OS loads apps into memory as a form of caching. These cached apps are then unloaded whenever the OS needs more memory.

I can understand why they want to persist some whispers, such as warnings and certain messages that provide some sort of historical reference. The other stuff, however, I’d love to be able to delete.

1) Blockquote boxes backround is too transparent. It literally blends too well in gray black backround

I’ll keep that in mind for the theming update. I plan on allowing for user-definable themes, and will make sure one can configure all the colors in the thread view.

2) Pictures. A full view of a picture would be greatly appreciated

I’ll see what I can do.

3) It doesn’t always happen but image filled threads sometimes tends to do so. Well, they are heavy to load so what you’re going to do for it

I have a feeling it might have to do with memory usage (your device may be dumping ones that are scrolled out of view. What device do you use? I might be able to figure out a low-res workaround, but that’ll take time.

Looks like today’s update broke my authentication mechanism. I fixed it and and uploaded the new release to the Play Store. It’ll take about 30 minutes or so before Google publishes the update, but rest assured it’s out there :-) Thanks go out to Maik50 for bringing it to me attention.

As much as I dislike Facebook, I don’t see how this is a sign of Kong selling out. Additionally, this is totally optional – don’t link your Facebook account if you don’t want people to see it.

The flagging feature is already planned for a future iteration. A few questions:

• What do you mean by “better visibility”?
• What do you want to zoom in on?
• Can you provide a thread where the images aren’t loading? If they aren’t, does refreshing fix it?
• The headline lettering overlaps aren’t a bug, per se – I consciously made that design decision.

• Ice Cream Sandwich compatibility with full GPU acceleration
• More native widgets and controls
• Changed the layout of the post editor to reduce the number of accidental ‘Post’ and ‘Cancel’ taps
• Eliminated the slight lag between transitions when selecting a subforum or topic
• Images are now resized whenever the device is rotated
• Under the hood changes in preparation for tablet support and theming

Bug Fixes

• Fixed the bug that required the Quote/Edit/Delete action workaround

If you like the app, rate (or +1) it! If you think it’s the worst thing since Indiana Jones 4, let me know what I can do to change your mind. If it crashes, please send the crash report! Those things are invaluable to a developer as they contain a stack trace, which makes figuring out what’s going on a lot easier.

I’m currently on vacation and can’t put out a fix. However, it’s awfully tempting to kill the script given that Kong has shown that they don’t give a crap about chatscript devs.

So, looks like they re-added caching for this version (after Google forced them to remove it from the free Market version) and they automatically go into full screen mode. The Xperia play modifications, though, are something I’m not entirely sure about.

• Users can now jump to the last page of a post OR the last post

Bug Fixes

• Improved the consistency of jumping to the newest post

The next update will bring Android 4.0 support and will be a pretty major redesign of the app.

Is it supposed to?

I unlinked my accounts and I no longer get logged out of Facebook when I log out of Kong. I re-linked them and it happens once more. This would only make sense if I used the Facebook sign-in option. I don’t. This is a bug.
