Topic: Tyrant / Speedy Hive is not fun

The Sidoze/Concussive Guards Deck worked on first try for me, I was just lucky.
But following the logic of most Tyrant players, I have thereby proven the sim’s percentage wrong, because I won 100%.
The size of the sample does not seem to play a big role for most people :-)

The great thing is that with that deck, bad draws are impossible, and you still win if your first guard gets jammed once.
If you lack Vial, you may as well wait till you have it. There is no reward for it anyway.
If anything, it gives you much less gold per stam than the usual mission grinding, that is all.
So no reason to panic.

I don’t know if I count as a veteran, but yeah.
My first faction was Strawhat (we were real bobs), then Lightbringers (very nice faction, Egalisator is a very fair leader and I learnt a lot there, it was hard to leave at all). I still remember RT slowroll with Elemental being the bomb back then ^^.
Kinda followed Kagrunz to Brags Only and been there for quite some time now (also very enjoyable bunch).

Moraku’s got a point, the relationship between artwork and skills in this game is…peculiar.
I sometimes wonder how the devs decide these things…I imagine there is a psychologist sitting in a white room with a kid.
The shrink hands the kids cards to test its sanity, and the kid is supposed to tell the shrink what the things on the cards do

Exhibit a: it has wings and is depicted above the clouds.
Shrink: Can it fly?
Kid: NO!
Shrink: But…but…it has wings
Kid: NO! IT WALKS!

exhibit b: it has a huge flak mounted on top
Shrink: Can it shoot planes?
Kid: NO!

exhibit c: a giant metal tank
Shrink: how many hitpoints?
Kid: 1!
Shrink: but…
Kid: …AND NO ARMOR!

exhibit d: It has two mechanical legs.
Shrink: what does it do?
Kid: IT FLIES! *eats the card, starts to salivate and bangs head on table
Shrink: *sigh

I’ve got friends in the US who took it on them to distribute my band’s album in the whole country FOR FREE, copy by copy.
There are so many ways in which we’ve helped each other across the Ocean now, you wouldn’t believe it.
I travelled all over Britain and Ireland for free, staying with people I’d never met before but knew very well over the Internet.
The main point is of course communication, and it works fine on the net with the right people.

I think the Bridge is absolutely OK. with a bit of imagination, it might be a mythical place for the protoss-like Righteous, offering magical protection, why not? And, belonging half to some kind of other dimension, it might be sort of ethereal and thus have the capacity to regain substance and dodge final blows. It’s actually a pretty nice combination of name, artwork and skills, I personally think.

It just occurred to me what a chance the devs missed with hydra.
The serpentine monster from Greek mythology truly has summon on attacked!
Hack off one head, two grow back. Had the devs not used that name for a card with completely unrelated skills, it would have been the perfect name for a summon on attacked card.
If I had to create a hydra, it would have strike all (because of nine heads) and summon 2 hydra’s heads on attacked.

I think the game would be better with coherent naming and skills and fitting artworks (like, if it has wings and is depicted flying above the clouds, it probably should have flying as a skill…)
Can anyone think of other names/creatures that would fit perfectly with a set of skills?

The level requirements are a very good step (but should have been the same right from the beginning to avoid irritation).
A card that is too easy to get loses worth rapidly, and there was never much reward for reaching a high level.
Just look at Solar Powerhouse, it’s a joke of a card for level 150. People get it for bragging purposes exclusively lol.
Heracles is still strong but nowhere near as strong as he was when he came out. Still a worthy reward for reaching level 100.

What we really need are some actually strong cards for levels 120, 150, 170, 200

This says nothing about probability, but I got two Yurich in a row (a total of three in that lot of 10 packs or so), and once the EXACT SAME content, card for card, in two packs in direct succession, when pressing ‘buy again’ several times. I think that is a pretty extreme case. I did purchase a lot of Nexus packs during the last days though, like everyone else.

The drop down menu is an abomination.
Despite a fast connection, Tyrant often lags for me.
When that happens, the drop down menu REALLY gets annoying.
So yeah, please do soemthing about the interface.

Another thing is the way you reach the main menu for tournaments.
I guess I don’t even have to explain :-)
