Topic: NovaLode / Suggestions

Right now NovaLode feels very dull when you’re mining (besides getting something valuable). Right now the only exciting thing that happens is the Seismic Shift. I’d like to consider it a random event because it has a pro and a con. What I was hoping though is that there could be more random events like this. Like for example, Poisonous Gas Leak, Lava Flood, and Rogue Mining Robots (though there aren’t any I think?).

The more dangerous the random event, the greater the reward for enduring it.

Danger Level 0 – Beneficial.
Danger Level I – Does not do damage.
Danger Level II – Does minor damage.
Danger Level III – Does major damage/alters some of the environment.
Danger Level IV – Does massive damage/alters most of the environment.
Danger Level V – Does lethal damage/alters all of the environment.

Seismic Shift (Environment) (Danger Level V)
- Will Kill You if you stay on the floor after the timer.
+ Renews the floor of it’s minerals and such.

Vesper Leak (Environment) (Danger Level II)
+ No longer need oxygen because the gas leak provides it.
- Will instead drain your health by 3 every second (same as for using oxygen).

Lava Flood (Blocks/Environment) (Danger Level III)
- Will hurt you if you touch a Lava Block, Bedrock becomes (harder to break/heated and will do damage to you if you mine them). Explosive Rocks deal more damage and have a chance to explode when it touches lava.
+ When it touches a special block like a Gem or Mystery Block or Minerals, it will increase their yields. (So you get 2 gems instead of 1 when you mine a Gem Block, more grams from minerals)

Rogue Mining Bots (Mobs) (Danger Level IV)
- Will kill you when given the chance and take your minerals. Big, tough to kill, and fast. More powerful the deeper they are. Will mine to you more slowly than you mine, but moves as almost as fast as you.
+ Can be barely hurt by your tools or explosives, takes double damage from Explosive Rocks. When destroyed, they drop minerals/materials/finished products for everyone that did damage to it and is still alive on the level. More damage means more yield.

Ancient Aerobic Amoeba (Blocks) (Danger Level I)
- Lives off of rocks, slowly spreading across blocks and slowing miners that mine them. Can cover a good deal of the mine if not taken care of early on.
+ Can be destroyed by tools and is cleaned off by Explosive Rocks.

Space Mole (Mob) (Danger Level 0)
+ Is adorable and occasionally follows you. Blocks it destroys (slowly) goes to whoever is within 5 blocks of it in any direction. Can be helped with items. Does not target special blocks. Will try to run away from active Explosive Rocks.
- Will stop working and fall down from too many Explosive Rock hits (though it does not target these), has to be healed with Consumable Items. Will no longer follow miners that attack them.

Lava Golem (Mob) (Danger Level III)
- Spawns from static lava infrequently. Cannot be hurt by explosions. Only way to fight it is to make it path through bedrock, which damages it. Damages if it hits/touches you.
+ Moves slowly, takes damage from bedrock which cools it down, takes a while to dig. On death it will spawn 9 special gem blocks.

Giant Ancient Aerobic Amoeba (Mob) (Danger Level IV)
- Spawns at the start of the Ancient Aerobic Amoebas event. Lives off of rocks, eating bedrock to regenerate health. Spreads Amoebic blocks faster than natural. Will methodically pursue miners to eat the minerals they have and returns to its home when too far away from it. Explosions do slightly more damage. Moves faster while near Amoebic blocks (which works against miners because they move slower when they mine them). Tons of health.
+ Upon death, 50% of all minerals consumed by the Amoeba will be spread to all the miners on the map. Growth of Amoeba Blocks is decreased upon death.

The game itself doesn’t fit within its screen.
The loading screen is fine, but everything afterwards is too large to fit.
I can’t see most of the things that were there before. This worked before but now it doesn’t.

It does this for the whole game. I’ve refreshed and restarted my computer but no go.

No Market License:

I don’t believe there should be a license for the free market at all. Buying one, let alone having it last only an hour, is real turn off for everybody, both buyers and sellers. Maybe a buy/sell limit in a day would work far better, and work it from there?

Harder (Level Up!), Better (Creation Library+), Faster (Create Rate+), Stronger (Duplicate Rate+) Workers: ♫ ♪

Laconic: What I’m asking is more leeway for better game flexibility.

I think the number of items a crafter has to make before he can research is a bit too many, and how narrow the create path is too narrow for so many created items. Maybe a more broader item library can be handled by workers? For example, the blacksmith can create all weapons and all items that use iron, tailor can make all light clothing and all items that use leather, etc. Also, the rate of which items are made should be slightly increased, or the rate of which item doubles, in order to keep up with the demand of customers. That, and maybe a experience level system for workers, (which would act more like a bonus than something you have to pay for,) could incorporate this function?

Decor OUTSIDE The Shop:

Now, the whole space issue is another thing altogether, but hey, what works works, but what if you can place decor outside the shop as well? It would make sense if you think about it, because you’re attracting more customers from the outside. Probably only the decor though. It would be ridiculously helpful regardless.

Quest Cap Removed:

I don’t like you could only have 3 slots, and that you’ll have to pay for one that is temporary. Everyone uses quests in order not just to get rare items, but to please customers they don’t even have items for yet. That’s a whole issue by itself.

Satisfaction Liable/Worker’s Cost As Much As the US Debt:

What are we to do about those engineers that keep asking for those guns, or those bards that ask for instruments?, both of such items are provided by workers who cost 125,000 gold. There is absolutely no way to provide those kinds of things early on. The only way to keep them happy is to send them on quests, or to suggest other items which they may or may not take, more often yes, but there’s some people who you can’t do this with regardless.

Also, you know how some of the CPUs give you items for gold? I like that a lot, especially at the rate they give them at. Increasing this just a bit might help with the above, but it’s just another suggestion.

- I don’t like the fact that I have to stuff everything into my shop for the most efficiency. Either make it cheaper to expand, or increase the magnitude of expansion. I am glad the appeal of layout does not effect customers though. Maybe some way to store objects would help a lot in this case I guess.

- You have to make an awful lot of something in order to make the next tier, although all in good time I guess.

- Hiring ANYONE (besides the smith, carpenter, druid, and seamstress) costs an arm and a leg.

- The rate of making objects is a bit too slow to keep up with customers. Either increase the duplex rate, or increase the speed of making objects along the rate the workbench works at.

- I don’t like the fact that you can only have 3 quests at one time. I use quests as a method of keeping customers, which I cannot supply equipment yet, happy.

- Some materials used by crafters are either used heavily, or respawn slowly. Please distinguish this fact for newer players.

- It would help if workers leveled up, so they make stuff faster or make duplicates of items they make already. This should be a bonus, rewarding long-time players, rather than another system you have to use gold for.

- Being able to have more workers sooner would be a real game-changer.

- Workers should be able to make more items in their relevant fields. For example, smith can make all weapons and all iron items, seamstress can make all light armor and all leather items, druid can make all staves, potions, and all herb items, shopkeeper can make all items to a degree, etc.

The game itself, however, is absolutely amazing. Thank you.

I lost a freaking planewalker to this! Why does this happen!? It appeared that I had picked it up, but the bag was still there. When I went to trade it with someone that was with the party it wasn’t there in my inventory! The bag disappeared before I was able to realize this. ; _ ; Even if I did know, I don’t know how I could pick it up when it was ‘already picked up.’ Nothing was in the bag, but it didn’t disappear.

There is a rare bug. When a server crashes, everything that was done for the past (X) minutes would not be saved.
It happened once when I traded with someone. Thankfully, we were able to trade again, and went along as if nothing happened. :D
