Beginners Strategies
First of all my left hand hurts… a lot! So if you wish to have some repetitive strain injury this is the game for you….read on…
The game is fun and has potential but can be frustrating at first when you get knocked out in one two shots by higher levels….
Here is my strategies, may they help you a bit…So… things you can do to level up…
1.CREATE a room where you limit the highest level to what you think you can handle, quick match may be easy but you could have a level 7 pawning you and you wont get a chance for a kill.
2. FIRST check the blacksmith and look at the weapon requirements BEFORE you spent any ability points. I recommend focusing on getting the hammer with the stun as soon as possible.
3. USE the gambling facility for your extra crystals, each crystal is a guaranteed 50 gold and if you are lucky you may score some great gold or crystals, so if you are short of cash and want to get that weapon now…consider gambling.
Good Luck! And don’t forget to take breaks otherwise I ll have to write a strategy for which hospital to visit…
P.S. Feel free to add more tactics and strategies if you wish to share.

Unlockable Classes
Depends what you enjoy doing…. There aren’t many great berserkers around so if you enjoy having a unique character building a really top notch berserker could be fun. I have all the unlockable characters but the berserker and the guardian I never bothered past their 40th level…
In the end its a game and you should do what you feel is enjoyable not what everyone else does…unless what every one else does is what you find most enjoyable….

Unlockable Classes
Search better in this forums all the info you are asking exists in a couple of very well developed guides. quick response to your questions though:
1. warrior can tank better than berserker but berserker (should) do more damage (i say should as most of us are unconvinced by the beserker powers vs the warriors) the Guardian is the true tank of the game so if defense is your way then guardian is the best choice (with crap damage very few have the patience to build a really good guardian)
2. Officer is a musketer berserker hybrid using weapon and rapier HE IS BY FAR the best character with the highest DPS, when you can kill em extremelly fast defence stops becoming an issue… see: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/ccc?key=0AofC41q5bky5dGt3bU0yWnE2cGdGYXhHc1c4bVpEMnc#gid=10
3. bows are used by the latest addition the SAMURAI a fun character to use we are still unsure about its potential as its too new and with a few glitches…depending how the devs continue to develop the game the Samurai could become a good choice but as everything stands an Officer is everyones true goal as he is the super rock star of the game…

Its a shame, but I think the game had its run...
Before I share my thoughts I want to say that this game gave me plenty of fun and I spent countless hours on it developing my characters. Unfortunately the game doesn’t have a foreseeable future for me for numerous reasons which I will share in this post:
1. The update that we all waited for many weeks had no real impact in the playability of the game… the new area feels more like a forced update to give us something to do rather than a real update that adds to the storyline and/or has a good balance.
2. In most MMO games reaching the highest levels is rewarded with some super new weapon or gear or character that the rest of the player base wants to also get and motivates them to play on. The samurai is a fun character but is nowhere near the damage of the Officer does not really have any more AoEs especially when you consider how the trap glitches when it kills all in a wave and overall anyone who unlocks the samurai already has an officer who is a much better character to bring into any battle…
3. The number of glitches is on the increase rather than the decrease, apart from the trap kill all glitch i started getting a glitch when poison kills the last enemy of a wave and some areas are simply unplayable due to extreme lag and glitches.
4. The community has shrunk to 20ish players at any one time and most of those have 2 or 3 accounts playing so really we are probably talking about 12 players at any one time…
5. For gamers like myself that doesn’t like creating 3-4 Kong accounts and have all my characters in one account the last changes meant that I can only play one character at a time rendering all my other characters useless and pointless apart from extra storage space…so no fun unlocking new characters if you cant help them with your older character…
I will probably stick around a little longer to see if quality wood ever appears but talking to Pawn I know that a huge disappointment waits for me even with a level 50 elite bow so its more than likely that I will slowly retire from the game.
I would like to see a supreme Character that is based on a really crazy reputation to unlock thus rewarding those gamers that developed lots of characters in one account but thats very unlikely to happen any time soon or ever for that matter…
A big thank you to the developers for all their time and effort so far and also to the gaming community here I had some really good fun with many of you, thank you for the battles…a semi-retired Astros….

Questions and feedback about the samurai class
what does the flying skill (passive) actually do? it has a % chance and i have it at 6% now but i havent seen anything new…i hope its not a +1 fly element only because then the % chance makes no sense….

Questions and feedback about the samurai class
I have been testing the Samurai at early levels and did comparisons with same level similar gear with officer.
I concur with pwnstorm, this is a more difficult class to unlock than officer yet it under-performs in terms of damage done.
The very least one would expect is to have base damage to 2-3 strikes!
The poison arrow is an opportunity to also add some flavor to this character better than the officer and in my view it should get a double strike.
Also I dont think the developers have created the special bows you get from quests like for all other classes which is a shame…. at early levels you can only have a bow level 1 till level 10 there is nothing but your training bow…I have been leveling solo to truly experience the character and I have to say it was a bummer…. I will continue experimenting with the Samurai since its a great opportunity to remember the early days of my gaming in Esgrima 2…
Update: This character effectively gets 3 AoE, each stronger than the firemage. Although a good class to play around with I am still unconvinced of its worth comparatively to the work needed to unlock it…

A veterans song...
Dupy dupy doooo
Once upon a time in the land of flash
there was a great furore over the great big clash
of veterans who struggled to craft their fine gear
and others who had gear simply magically appear
I once heard of an “armor” lad who simply overslept, and woke up after a great big crash
the gold he saw was so obscene with tears of joy he wept, but still shared his millions and had a fine bash
From all the rumours I have heard the best one is this
I heard the day when the world will end, updates will surely land
So as surely as tomorrow we shall witness world peace
updates will be revealed behind a great big band….
The moral of the story is simple but its true…
sleep more, play less and drink a whiskey or two…

WF Boss list.
Have you ever wondered which boss you were fighting after a long battle in War Factory? Well don’t worry anymore cause here is a complete list so you are never lost again.
War Factory Boss list
1. Mr Wong (Also known as “the ninja dodjer”)
2. Firecracker
3. Whalthzer
4. Lost crusader
5. Envenenador
6. Marauder
7. Bison walker
8. Duke Vincent (also known as Duke Lagalagalagalot)
9. Great Thorlock
10. FireLord
War Factory notes
(special thanks to the Humanwars Guild for all the WF runs and fun):
1.Never enter a War Factory team that passed the 1st Boss or there is a high chance for the whole WF to collapse
2. SOmetimes loading takes a while so always wait for all 6 of your team-mates to enter…buff, or use mana pot, or anger pot or simply wait…
3. Everyone should have mana pots with them and some should have resurrection scrolls just in case…
4. Front row people should ideally be of 500+ defence but a good cleric at the back can sustain 400+ teams in the front.
5. The 8th boss (Duke Vincent) lags so much you may think the game is stuck…do not panic! Click on him and shoot.
6. War Factory runs have taken me from as short as 18minutes to as long as 1hour 30minutes, it depends on the team and loading luck, but always prepare yourself for a long run if you only have 30mins to spare do not enter a WF raid!
7. If you are really interested in WF runs then get your best character to a good defence and DPS so you can be an asset to any team and join a good guild that does WF runs often.

I agree with disenchantments, but the mechanism should be far simpler disenchant gems that you can get as random drops at random locations can be used at the blacksmith with 50% chance of success for any slot that way anyone chosing to use legendary boost would get 95% chance and the creators would have another way of selling gold items making a little money for them.

So... erm... updates?
you already had the simple yes a while back in January. The key question is when…obviously Murphy law has struck the development team the problem is the longer the updates take the more the in game community will shrink.
gamers always outplay content in games like these so even when an update comes it will be outplayed in a few days…(even though it takes the developers weeks or months to develop)
my suggestion to you is find other weird and fun staff to do like drop on unsuspecting new players battles and help em out or randomly give gifts to new players, it will add a new level of fun to your gaming and may add a few extra days of patience whilst you wait for an update…

A veterans song...
I remember the fish that took forever to kill
I remember the needles and the hammers so expensive and rare
I remember that Officers were few and so rich
I remember that trading was a b…..ch
I recall the times of old the times when Blaze was God
Now so many are blazing Giants with flaming hats so odd
Few windstones now can buy a small country
Yet the rest of the rares are thrown in the pantry
I remember Oneshark used to fight amongst us
I remember the promise of updates upon us
I see old faces grining yet the war must go on
In the war factory veterans find solace
Instead of hating, we learned to love that firelord…..

NEW Character – THE MINER!
Unlockable with reputation of 4000+
Miner can only equip pickaxes he has weak attacks and not so good defence but at levels 10-20-30-40-50 unlocks skills that give +5% drop rate when mining at 50 level he has the potential of 125%mining drops and he can yield elite pickaxes that add extra % of rare drops when mining!
Edit: apparently the developers promised mining clothes in a future update? I was told so after posting this so if thats true then my suggestion could be obsolete…

Fire Mages?
The Rod Attack skill of the fire mage i snot good at all as it has NEVER -EVER stunned for me, also the Big HAnd AoE is much weaker than the earlier AoE which delivers 3 hits, so yes there is definitely something wrong with the balance of Firemage and it kind of feels like that class has been forgotten in updates… another thing to consider is that the officer class is awesome and probably the best class in the game and he carries similar equipment to a musketer so spending all the time it needs to make elite items you are in much better possition if you were a musketer than any other class if you plan to play an officer at end game…just my two cents

I have the suspicion that when you open more building zones you get an increase of number of buildings…so far i have opened up two zones and I should be opening my 3rd in a few days (have 1 zone medal need one more and i think i know where to get it – I think it waits for me at the end of ironsides)

[Redshift] Chronicles of Redshift
Chronicles of Redshift: Legendary Rivalries ( Legendary Rivalries is Written by Iggy)
Thus begins a new series highlighting some of the most intense one on one personal rivalries that have developed in the game. Props go to Astros for the inspiration for this thread. Please nominate additional entries.
- Iggy vs EZkill
Noone is entirely sure why these two notable pilots seem to come to blows almost every time they run into each other. Perhaps it is something visceral and ingrained much like the antagonistic reaction between water and sodium. Perhaps it is instinctual much like the enduring Yin/Yang relationship between the cobra and the mongoose. Maybe given that Iggy is the founder of fleet CrazySoloPirate and EZkill is a founding father of fleet InsaneAsylum, they merely want to prove once and for all who is the most mentally unbalanced SOB in the galaxy.
The head to head battle between Iggy and EZkill is one of the most evenly balanced ones in the entire game that involves different ships and is notable for using some of the lightest ships available to top level players in the game. This is true both in terms of skill training profiles which are very similar, and slight offsetting differences in ship stats. Iggy in his Razor mk. 2 typically holds a marginal advantage in terms if evasion which is offset by EZkill’s marginal advantage in terms of weaponry, armor, and hull points in his trusted Sparrow. It is not uncommon for a battle between these rivals to hinge upon the hit/miss outcome of a single weapon or to come down to simply who gained the advantage by shooting first.
Voliera system in particular seems to have a magnetic quality for both players and has become the predominant location for their frequent encounters. It is rumoured that their encounters in Voliera system have become so frequent and so clustered in the south-west quadrant of the system, that the prodigious quantities of vaporized armor plate generated by their battles have become trapped in the gravity well of a nearby gas giant and have given the rings of that planet a curious metallic and iridescent lustre.

[Redshift] Chronicles of Redshift
Chronicles of Redshift; The token warriors strike back.
Curse you Dollarium… is the last scream that many a dead budget warriors deliver with their last breath just before the cloning chambers of sol receive the signal to utilise their stored DNA and re-clone them. But even amongst Token Warriors there is a hierarchy, of those with advanced skills versus the newer Token Pilots. Here we shall share the stories of some of the most infamous of those pilots. Armed to the teeth with Appolos they will waste little energy on you so beware and fly as fast as you can the moment you see them:
Grimm the Collector
It is rumoured that this warrior is older than the Universe itself, others say he was there at the beginning of creation. He fought most of the bosses at the earliest of their existence and he has numerous copies of every rare item known in the Universe. Apart from equipment he has developed an appetite for collecting ships and he already has 3 dollarium type ships in his collection as well as the coveted manufactured Spartan. He is most likely to be the second pilot to also get the Nighthawk. Some believe that this alien never ages and rarely re-clones. But the real reason for his name is his affinity for collecting Tirates skulls. Some fear him, some envy him but one thing is for certain; he was the first to begin a miners protection scheme in the Deterid region, and for that miners across the galaxy add him to their prayers.
SyrionSyronimus the Magician
A great many Tirates have fallen prey to this skilled pilot who manages to lure them with his hologram illusions that make his ship resemble a mining Steol when in fact he is piloting a Deception. He is an old veteran that also became protector of miners and led many expeditions against Tirets. The most notable of all is the Antares Battle when Syrion lost his left eye and made explicit instructions to ensure his future clones remained one eyed. His eye patch is rumoured to be made from the scalp of fallen Tirates but some say that his holographic illusions do not only apply to his ship, he may indeed still have both eyes and the illusion of a broken body could well be another trap for those that think they can take him down in a bar brawl.
Ruckbodgers the Professor
Long ago this notable pilot held a Chair at the Alpha Centauri Open University as professor of linguistics. He led a quiet life until a Tirate raid targeting the University stores of zirconium, stored by the department of Lithology which unfortunately was next to Rucks office. It is rumoured that he was reading a Buck Rodgers novel when a large explosion melted the zirconium resulting in Rucks supreme reflexes and advanced canning. He is considered amongst the very best token pilots but the only thing he professes these days is pain and death to anyone that opposes him.
Cuendillar the Ghost
He once was a magnificent pilot competing against the very best, the top assassin of the original KongFront. No one knows exactly when but something went terribly wrong with a cloning procedure. This pilot surfaces very rarely and some say he is only an apparition and a shadow of his old self. Others say he was never of this world simply a dimension shifter who comes and goes as he pleases shooting down unsuspected pilots. If we never see him again he will still be remembered by the veterans and will be a symbol to all that even token warriors can perish.
Flying1337 the Mathematician
Approximately 42 squared clonings ago this Token Pilot was a Mathematician at a small village in what used to be known as the Netherlands Earth. At one of the early cloning experiments he lost the will to use normal language and chose to use numerical symbols to express his will to reach the elite top percentile of token warriors. Some simply call him the Dutchman others call him King Kong and some DutchKong. Beware he will use his skills in maths running numerous tests and algorithms even when he dies ensuring that he comes one step closer to your death the next time he meets you.

[Redshift] Chronicles of Redshift
Chronicles of Redshift; Rise of the budget warriors.
The Redshift Universe is synonymous to danger and untimely death. Every step of the way you discover that you are a bigger fish than others but there is always a bigger fish. As your career advances you discover that there are many pilots out there that have managed to procure ships and armaments that seem beyond this world. Deceptions and Sparrows armed with Appolos Arrows that can reduce you to smoke in 2-3 volleys, maybe even 1. That is when despair grows in the head of many pilots that have 3 choices to make.
1. Decide to never clone again disappearing in the annals of history without much fuss.
2. Ensure that they secure the rare material known as Dollarium and procure the top gear continuing their carreer as Token warriors (often refered as ww)
3. Follow the way of the Budget Warrior in the hope that one day the universe may change.
These are the chronicles of the later type of warriors. Budget warriors who have shown enough Grit that the deserve a space in the annals of Redshift history. These are the characters that can give new budget warriors hope for the future. They are of course characters that I, Astros the historian has witnessed…there may be others but for now I present you a few of these notable characters:
Iggy the War Hero
Iggy fought many battles in his trusted Razor to raise in the ranks amongst many a token warriors. In a battle with Rin he was rewarded with a Catastrophe weapon but that is not his true reason for success. His amazing piloting skills means he can even take out a few of the token warriors without much worry. During one of his more recent clonings this war hero lost part of his brain and became known as the crazysolopirate. He is very much admired amongst budget warriors who hope he never turns into the dark side of the dollarium….
Roberto the Miner King
Roberto became a living legend by his true dedication to the art of mining. His mining skills and sheer patience ensured he was the first to procure the coveted NightHawk a ship of such reputation that made some token warriors shiver and curse the day this old miner arrived in the Universe. Roberto is such a dedicated miner that even after procuring his Nighthawk he was seen more often in his trusted mining ship the Steol than his warrior ship.
BabyDoctor the tiny assasin
Do not have any illusions about this baby, his appearance is deceiving. Once a potent assassin who died by the lasers of a great token warrior he was cloned by accident into the body of a baby with the knowledge and wisdom of a doctor. Thus he can kill with his baby feet easily as he is an expert in alien anatomy. Watch out for this budget warrior in his Razor he is as crazy as he is cute.
Brian the Banker
A notable budget warrior who has amassed his fortune by killing numerous droid driven -non pilot ships and trading their parts. In his sparkling white Rapture he can withstand heavy laser strikes and often will escape even highly skilled pilots. Watch out for this credit rich pilot as he could afford to switch into a ship of the new generation in the near future.
Astros the Hitchhiker
A deluded nutter part miner part historian, who thinks 42 is the answer to everything and flies his trusted Steol, he often confuses warrior ships as asteroids and he likes to mine, known minor tirades. He once dreamed of owning a nighthawk but one of his more recent clonings destroyed the part that controls the will to mine extensively and the will to escape token warriors. Anyone in a mining ship anywhere in the current galaxy feels safe when Astros flies by as he never attacks a miner first no matter the location.
Benchbreaker the bloodthirsty hound
Benchbreaker is a most notable budget warrior who lost his whole family to a Tirate raid. Since then he went mad with rage adding to the body count unsuspecting pilots no matter their innocence. Beware of his skills, he flies a razor still looking for the lead Tirate that destroyed his home planet. His thirst for blood may never be quenched and some say that during re-cloning procedures his will demands to add alien Dna turning him part human part hound.
PFC Adams the Android
Many pilots including PFCAdams himself mistakenly believe that the acronym PFC of this noteworthy budget warrior stands for Private First Class. In fact during his 42nd cloning procedure Adams forgot that he is a native of the system Phylo one of the few protected areas of the known galaxy. PFC thus stands for Phylo Friends Corporation. Adams was the first and last failed experiment of the corporation to create a super credit warrior. Part Android part human he flies a Vigilance and has advanced retaliatory capabilities. (Note: Last seen in a Scythe)
TheDuck of Chaos
The belief that TheDuck was an accidental cloning procedure that involved the pet duck of the chief engineer of the cloning facilities of Sol came to dispute when evidence of a planned invasion from a Duck like race of a parallel universe came to the attention of the Blackwing corporation. It is now believed that TheDuck was the only surviving early scout of an invasion that went completely pear shaped (for the Ducks) and ensured that the inhabitants of Alpha Centauri had a 3 month long feast with BBQ Duck legs as the key menu item. Determined to continue the fight and avenge his eaten brothers, TheDuck has taken many humans down with his Beak of Chaos technique… where others use Appolos, the Duck uses his Quack! You have been warned. EDIT: TheDuck joined the dark side of the Dollarium…the Budget warriors weep
Bhalzy the Silent
No one has ever seen the face of this lone pilot, his advanced engineering skills have enabled subtle modifications on his trusted Razor that give the edge over the factory produced range, not to mention the added advantage of deadly silence… There was only one pilot that got close enough to see Bhalzys face and confirm his race and gender but sadly that pilot was never re-cloned, a fact that adds even more mystery in the origins of this budget warrior.
GTmeteor The Rock a.k.a Giant Thorium Meteor
Miners BEWARE! This pilot hate all miners with passion and the reason is clear. Someone had to stand up for all the poor Asteroids that are destroyed by miners on a daily basis in search of rare ore. Enters GTmeteor (Real name Giant Thorium Meteor as discovered By Syrion in the long lost archives of phylon)… a fragment of one of those unlucky asteroids somehow found its way into the cloning facilities of sol and attached itself to the dna sample of a poor miner. The result was a metamorphosis of the new clone to half stone half human with a single goal in his mind… destroy all miners. GTmeteor is hunted by many pilots since they believe that his teeth are made of bismuth and zirconium the most sought after of ores by all miners.
Slayerr the Gentle Giant
He rose late from the Ranks of Budget Warriors. A kind soul that would stay and fight even when the odds were obviously against him. He flies his giant Spartan that many chose to simply avoid since to take him down requires enormous amounts of fuel. Others simply do not attack him honoring his gentle side. That is of course until the Giant trully awakes and decides its time to fight back! Beware those that mock him today, you may regret it tomorrow!
dsvnikjasd the unpronouncable
dsvnikjasd is not his real name… it is the best translation he could come up with in the closest dialect that could make any sense to our species. An ethereal warrior from a distant galaxy that resembles ours he developed an afinity to mining and thus he became one of the first 10 or so pilots to fly a nighhawk. Token warriors fear him, budget warriors envy him but all most certainly have troble calling him by his name. He does not care much anyway he lets his lasers do the talking for him.
QazzaQ the Palindrome
Some have tried to kill this warrior by quietly appearing behind his ship…little do they know that his name reveals also his ship configuration that can shoot death from both ends… In his trusted Vigil he has scared many new Token warriors both with his great evasion skills and his ability to track his enemies movements with exceptional skill.

[Redshift] who's your most wanted player?
XRRRX7331 you will be happy to know that with my Vigilance, 1 thorium and 3 Piranhas, and with a bit of crafting I have so far sent to the Graveyard 3 sparrows, 2 Scythes, 4 Dragoons (most didnt seem to have full appolos though).
The skills make a good dif so although I couldnt even dream to heavily damage veteran token players, I seem to be able to scare semi-veterans and eniolate relatively new token warriors in my current configuration…really tempted to work on the Nighthawk, it must be a ball taking out Deceptions…they are the one token ship that still eludes me….
