I completely agree with this post. I hated enemies leveling in Oblivion too. If you get into a dungeon and get killed by a frost atronach at lvl 1, maybe you’re not supposed to get into that dungeon at lvl 1. Or maybe your equipment sucks. Try again later. No need to see bandids in full daedric armor late in the game just because they “leveled up with the character”. I hate the concept of enemies leveling up in open world RPGs, but in hack n slash\action RPG it’s just destroying a game. The whole point of a H’n’S is to see your character become more and more badass and kill hordes of enemies that were previously stronger than you.

Topic: Dawn of the Dragons / Dawn of the Dragons BETA??

Come on guys, anyone who’s played browser MMO games before knows that “beta” is just a way of saying “we take your money, but if tomorrow something goes wrong or we want to close the servers you can’t complain about it, ’cause we told you it was a beta”.
Now I don’t want to give the wrong impression, I’m very happy about the work of this particular developers, I find DotD and LotS perfectly enjoyable as a free user and they’re always trying to improve, as witnessed by the weekly patches, the constant changes, the fact that when their players don’t like something they try to fix it or change it according to the common taste. I like this way of managing a game and I think more developers should be like them. But, this “Beta” thing has always been an “anti-refund\anti-complain shield”, and personally I wouldn’t buy a game like Skyrim or whatever if they sold it in beta-version, I don’t think it’s right to ask for money in a beta product. Beta = unfinished. That means mechanics, items, part of the game could be added, removed, changed anytime. That means that I spend money today for something that’s useful today, and tomorrow it may be not that useful anymore. This system is wrong at its roots.

Topic: Dawn of the Dragons / Bugs

I’m not sure if this is a bug or an issue that i’ve got with my flash player; everytime I open DotD or LoTS, the game loads up all the images and stuff from the start, as it were the first time I ever opened them. My flash storage settings allow unlimited space to both the games, bun nonetheless they keep using 0 kb. I’m pretty sure that if I found a way to store the images and animations in a permanent cache the game wouldn’t lag so much for me. I tried using both Chrome and Firefox with no noticeable differences (apart from the last one being slightly faster, especially with DotD). Any clues? Flash Player and the browsers are all updated.

Under “Type” select “Enchantment” and you’ll see the runes. I couldn’t find them in the “all” window, either :)

After enchanting some items, i noticed they are still sorted in the inventory as they still had their base stats. It would be nice if the sorting system considered the actual value of the items when sorting per attack, defence or perception :)

Or you could use the “salvage” option, that’s actually there for this purpose…you don’t need to delete the design. Just go to “salvage”, select the design you need to scrap, select the number of ships you need to scrap, see how many resources you’ll gain and give the ok.

You know what, I have to admit my mistake – I actually found out that some players i know have bought a bunch of gold recently. I still have the same opinion about the amount of money involved in the process being quite excessive, but you’re right, cash still flows – even if i don’t know personally the player you’re mentioning.

I am not a gold player. However, in my opinion, the amount of money required by this “beta” game to be “stronger” was, and still is, frankly insane. I think that PM is going in the right direction – and i’m really sorry for all the people who had THAT much money to throw away for this game, but i really don’t think it was worth it, and surely there is no more people around willing to spend that much on this game.

  1. If you have a revenge and the person is in protection, you can’t spy to figure out if you could win the revenge.
  2. When pillar raiding, the people you are matched with can be in protection and can be friends. So it is quite necessary to be able to spy them, so you can figure out who to avoid and who to aim for.

Regarding OP’s issue. The issue is not ship class balance, but if someone has MF at 2X,XXX,XXX army power, they usually have much, much higher level ship weapons and devices also, and their hero probably has more equipment and skill upgrades as they have been playing much, much longer to be able to acquire a MF. You can always spy their army first for targets that looks like a revenge trap, or go for players with only 3 planets and less suspicious army to total power ratio instead.

I have to say that the latest patch surprised me. A lot. That’s the way, PM, more goods for everyone. Appreciate it. Now i get to spend coupons for skills, so i will be more active trying to earn more coupons. Moreover i will always try to get the “consolation prizes” even when i don’t like the blues in the mall. Good job.
