We do care. We delete hacked high scores daily and I have deleted points from half a dozen accounts in the last two weeks for referral abuse. We’re doing what we can, but we’ll never get rid of it all. If there is a specific person that you notice, email us at support@kongregate.com (note: we are pretty behind with the email right now. I have had illness after injury after illness and holidays and stuff. so be patient) and we’ll do what we can.

I mentioned twice how I wanted poetry. Only once how I wanted it to be about me. The Mud and Blood 2 haikus are the funniest things I’ve ever read.

Nope, I adore DTD 1.5. I just spend a lot of time trying to get The 100 (this was before all your fancy guides and videos) and kept getting to like 90 and dying. Some day I shall try again :(

I wasn’t as hardcore with badges, but I think the first card I didn’t get was P.O.D. P.O.D. is er… not my most favorite game ever

The opinion absolutely counts. The point of my original post was that these badges are a result of user opinions. I realize I convoluted my post with all sorts of other points but the real, basic point was that I personally know how many users begged for these badges.

I also didn’t mean to sounds like “quit your whining and get over it we don’t care” (which I realize is how I very likely came off). Nothing could be further than the truth. It is just disheartening to watch Greg ask the community for help on testing something and receive back complaints about how bad it was he would try this in the first place. I absolutely care what you guys think about games and the games that are picked for badges are determined almost entirely by user ratings. So while there seems to be a huge divide between people who love this game and people who hate this game, it was still by listening to users that the game got badges in the first place.

Also, I’m just cranky and getting over food poisoning :P But please don’t think we don’t listen to you guys. It would be more helpful if, instead of doing it in a “help test!” thread, a “reasons the Mud and Blood 2 badges make me want to spork my eyes out” thread was made and specific things we could look for in the future were put there. Our ultimate goal is to make all you people happy but we need help to do that. So rate games, leave comments, and even email us if you want. Specific comments about what you like and what you don’t like and why are the most helpful.

Maybe I just wanted all of you to ignore the badges and write me 1337 love poems :(

AlisonClaire, this is clearly not about “simply leave badges alone you don’t like”, otherwise Zilch would have had gotten its badge (exactly that reasoning was used not to give it).

This wasn’t a topic made to see how people would feel about an impossible badge. It was a thread made to ask people to help test an impossible badge.

While you guys are all more than welcome to hate on whatever games greg decides to give badges I want to mention how many emails we got begging for badges and cards on this game. There are a lot of people who are really stoked to have these badges. I’d say this is the game that got the most “please please give it badges it is amazing” emails since it’s been published.

If you love all the games that greg gives badges to clearly he’s not doing his jobs correctly. We just passed our 1 million’th registered user (woo) and we want everyone to have a few of their favorite games badged. That means that everyone (unless they’re some sort of ‘I love all games ever made’ hippy communist) will have badges in games they don’t like. I spent a long time earning all the cards and badges (or well, trying. Damn you dtd 100) that were offered and then one day, they came out in a game I hated. I did not earn them. It set me free!

So, like I said, hate away. But don’t hate the playa (read: greg) hate the game. Also, don’t hate in this thread. This was greg asking the community for help to get you guys more of the badges that everyone keeps going ‘ZOMG WTF NO BADGES IN LIKE A BILLIONDY SECONDS FIX IT NAO GERG D:’ about. There will be badges that you won’t like. You can either get them or not. I recommend working on 1337 speak love poetry, building a roomba trained to eat dogs that weigh less than 10 lbs, making the world’s largest bowl of ramen or doing my homework as ways to fill your time if you opt out of the badges.
